Looking for a way to get audiobooks free. So far I've found the torrent community woefully lacking in this area and there's no way I'm giving that much money for an mp3 file.
Additionally, don't even mention Libravox, their terrible, official releases only.

You can create your own anime and release it freely. The artistic style is not copyrighted.

Excuse me but it's been almost 10 years, shouldn't we have 80 core clocked at 58 ghz 10$ laptops?Didn't Jobs said something like "if cars progressed like computers,we would have had bentleys that cost 1$ and go 1500 mph"?

I'm a drawfag (not the best drawfag, but whatever).
I'm going to study software engineering in my college.
My point is, I would love to become an animator but my taco shithole has pretty much nothing on terms of studios or even proper animation shit.
My goal is to make my own animations, so I want to make this thread about how would you design an animation software to help you out to make an animation as cheaply as possible while having the best quality.
As for my idea is to basically make a 3D software, and allow you to draw vector lines in a 3D space, and obviously being able to tween and modify the lines depending on the frame.
So, in a sense you draw a pose and then simply rig it like a 3D model and tween the lines (since they're vector lines anyway) like some illustrator pen tool, similar to SAI pen tool and blender pencil tool.
The goal is to reuse the lines between frames and do simple 3D animation techniques because the lines will be stick to a 3D rig.
Something like paperman with some twist.
Of course being able to edit the lines in every frame would be a good idea.
The coloring could be maybe voxels or something, like zbrush 2D painting skills or some way similar to zbrush, the material inside, so you sculpt the 3D planes by painting them like a photoshop brush.
Of course the lightning could be calculated by some toon shader or toon algorithm, but you could edit the shadow boundaries I think in some way, maybe having a mask you could edit.
Dunno, these are some of my ideas.
pls feel free to add some on your own.
Basically picking the best ideas from photoshop, illustrator, zbrush, SAI, paperman and other software, focused entirelly towards 2D animation.

Are gaming headsets still all hot garbage and good headphones and a lav mic the way to go, or are some decent enough that the value proposition actually make sense? I'm curious just because Amazon is selling tons and tons of them in their pre bf deals

Hyper Cloud X2 or whatever it's called now is the only "good" headset. Personally I use a good pair of headphones and a desk microphone.

clamav.
You just reminded me i should install a AV on my machine.
I've started to see this. Guys around 30 give or take five years seem to have the most interest in in desktop PCs of any generation. They grew up with them and still use them. They know how to build them and repair them. And they look back on their youth with them fondly. That's a lot like the baby boomers and their old cars.
I'm already seeing a lot more interest now in old computers. Retro threads are getting more popular on /g/. People are paying hundreds of dollars for keyboards that were being thrown in the garbage ten years ago.
Now lots of guys want to "restore" an old PC or collect one of the old workstations they used to see in movies and magazines, or on television shows like the Computer Chronicles. These guys get together and show off their projects at meet-ups. Like a car show.
>>57573043
portable computers cant run games though so desktop ones are objectively not obsolete
Technology that's simple enough to see the workings is interesting. Now that an entire motherboard is essentially on the processor itself there's not much to be done with it.
Not only that, but what hobbyists are doing with old tech is actually really staggering and I could spend a day talking about it.
Also, they have an inherent character to them. You would never confuse any component of an Apple ][ with a Commodore 64, or an Amiga 1200 to an Atari ST. Their OS' also continue this identity.
There's something special about putting two pieces that fit together. Like putting OS/2 on an old Thinkpad. It's unapologetically what it is.
