Literally who?
so my dog chewed my cabling under the house so i had to use a wifi extender as my wirless adapter because i didnt build one into my p. now when i download i get like 2.5 - 3.mbps and im getting good speeds on my speed test, but when i go in game in steam games my network utilization drops to 0.03%. so i bought a ethernet over power adapter and it still happens anyone know if this is a steam issue or what the fuck is going on. i get 2 nights off per week and one was already spent doing fucking nothing thanks to my net, any help plus trouble shooting tips would be helpfull
heres when im downloading
red lines are when im not downloading, any clue anyone?
ping test then after
Why is this bottle necking?

OH I FORGOT THAT I AM USING LINUX. IT'S NOT WINDOWS. WINDOWS IS NOT THIS DIFFICULT
>>57578097
cute
this is a common bug .. which distro and are you using it as a live usb with persistence, or a dual boot?
Hello /g/, can you kindly explain to me how can it be possible that a god damn chink DE is literally the best linux desktop experience?
inb4 meme ricer WMs
>>57577979
It could something to do with the chinks not having any desire to look like le techno hackerman l33t power-user and just want Something That Works.
>>57578055
OP here
you're absolutely right. this thing just works, it's gorgeous, the compositing is perfect (their mutter fork is amazing), has sane defaults and it's easily configurable on the things that matter.
just a god damn breeze to use, unlike every other piece of shit DE around.
Gnome sucks, KDE is still not stable and it's bloated as heck, Xfce is passable but the compositing is god awful and it crashes often in current year.
what else is there to say, really?
>>57578122
>what else is there to say, really?
Well, there is the question of why /g/ must endure 20 threads a day which were created by faggots like you who thought they were so important they needed to create an entire thread just to validate their choice of an OS.
Because if you install Linux and don't tell anyone about it, did you really install it at all?
Why the fuck do Mint and Elementary exist?
Cinnamon is already in the Ubuntu repos and if you want Elementary OS' DE you can just add a PPA
>>57577932
But how would the Russian botnet survive without them? Have some consideration. It's their culture.
>>57577932
>sweden
thanks doc
>>57577932
>why the fuck do Every Distro that's not fedora or red hat exists
That's the correct question.
Fuck me dead - hipsters were right.
Django / bootstrap / font awesome is the way to go. I always thought these cunts were just lazy but shit is fast to develop. Whip together a template, throw something together in bootstrap, shits right to go.
D-does this mean I have to learn jquery?
>>57577920
>using a scripting language that is slow as fuck
>using a highly opinionated framework
Sure is 2008 in here. Bootstrap is okay.

Enjoy vertical scaling your way to $2000/month for AWS when you finally hit 250 daily active users.
What's the general consensus?
ELEMENTARY OS LOKI
It's incredibly basic and doesn't really allow much expansion. It's basically a child's Ubuntu which is a noobie's GNU/Linux
>>57577905
What benefits does it offer over Solus?
Is it just an osx wannabe clone?
It doesn't look too bad. How's performance?
Give me some reasons to make the switch.
Do any of you nerds actually unironically use a window manager (as opposed to a DE)?
Tell me the sexiest and most efficient way to interact with my computer.
Yes. I'm not going to say it's better though. I just like it more.
>sexiest
Fleshlight rigged to track signals
>most efficient
Pretty much any CLI, if we're strictly talking computer resource efficiency
i use awesome with which i can watch chinese cartoons while browing the internet at the same time
if arch linux is the best, why doesn't the creator of linux use it?
He just wanted something to read mail with.
What he's got works fine for his purposes
>>57577884
because all he does these days is reading and answering emails, so any shitty OS would do.
>>57577998
That's RMS. Torvalds works on the kernel constantly still.

Good, it's important.
>>57577792
I don't know, wouldn't it be better to gut Net Neutrality and think something else up? From my limited reading of it it seemed that it had good parts but also gave control to our government unneededly and could kill innovation/competition. Smelled a little funny just like Obama singing a duet with Jimmy Fallon on the TPP which would cause an estimated 480k jobs lost.

Hey guys, I just figured out that you can vote multiple times on this poll if you open an incognito window, vote, reopen incognito window, vote etc
There must be a way to automate this process. Refreshing alone doesn't work.
THEY'VE DONE IT BEFORE, THEY'RE DOING IT AGAIN, AMD IS GIMPING OLDER CARDS TO FORCE USERS TO UPGRADE SOONER
nvidia does this too

The 2012 scores are for nothing but Crysis Warhead, while the scores on the left are for a variety of titles with NONE of them being any version of Crysis.
0/10 bait.
Are incandescents really that great? I've been buying LEDs thinking they were legit.
