Been using just my lg g3 for almost a year. Can still do just as much, well kind of. Lol
Real damn tired of,these commas that keep popping up typing texts though. My laptop burnt out on me last year, but i really, think it was voltage overloaded,on purpose or emp hit by the local cops. Idk.. But yeah my phone, tanked too but i fixed, that. Can still get,to everything, it just makes multitasking difficult.

I booted up my PC today and found message from Win10 saying that CPU-Z is no longer compatible with this version of Windows and decides on its own to remove the program from user space along with other programs that Microsoft doesn't like and starts replacing them with their own Windows apps.
Its even removed AMD Catalyst Control Centre and installed its own Win10 drivers.
I search around and for some reason nobody is covering this. Apparently its been happening unnoticed with Windows uninstalling programs and even sometimes Steam Games. It would be nice if anybody knew a way to turn this off.
But seriously, What kind of communist bullshit is this? If this is going to be Microsoft's last Windows release, then they still don't know what the fuck they're doing.
Quoting from Torvalds: If a change results in user programs breaking, it's a bug in the kernel. We never EVER blame the user programs. How hard can this be to understand?
I mean, if you apply an update and it suddenly breaks user apps, then THERE'S SOMETHING FUCKING WRONG WITH YOUR UPDATE! YOU DON'T FUCKING REMOVE SHIT THAT'S NOT YOURS

My HP computer is starting to get old. Didn't take great care of it and it wasn't the best for gaming.
>Intel R HD graphics 4400
>Intel core i7-4510U CPU @ 2.00ghz, 2601 mhz, 2 cores, 4 logical processors.
>6gb ram

I was hoping, since it's that time again, that we could have a thread of holiday sales.

So far the best I can tell is the Lenova:
> Intel Core i7-6700HQ 2.6 GHz
> 16 GB DDR4
> 1 TB HDD + 256 GB SSD
> GeForce GTX 950M (video memory 4gb)
> 6700HQ (2.60 GHz)
Says the core is named Skylake I'm not familiar with. Price at $769.00. The only major difference from my current computer would the ram which might not be that important. What do you guys think? Found any good deals?

/g/ is for the discussion of technology and related topics.
/g/ is NOT your personal tech support team or personal consumer review site.

For tech support/issues with computers, use /wsr/ - Worksafe Requests or one of the following:

Half the stuff on this board is asking people to help them with a problem. Maybe look at the threads before you copy/paste the sticky.
btw this is a holiday deal thread. A thread were anyone in the market for a new computer can benefit and discuss.

That's what you get for falling for the shitty thinkpad meme.

Buy an atom or celeron netbook instead if you want good battery life.
Really comfy on my t100ta.
>>
if on windows, download lenovo power manager

if on linux, acpi -V

used business laptops are great but sellers keep including shit batteries and upping the price by $40 since it's "complete". above commands will show how much capacity it can still hold

also if it's the optimus version make sure you set it to that in the bios and installed all drivers. freetard/nouveau is shit

So I got to installing a music bot for my server(rhinobot), and am rather dissatisfied about its inability to shuffle a youtube playlist.

Unless you can tell me how I am fucking retarded for not knowing what I am doing, I have the idea that I can get another bot to send text to my song request channel from a text file that lists song titles and the play command. Is there a bot out there to fulfill this role?

I am here as I have no one else to ask.

Thanks mate. Just checked in on the thread. I have nothing either. I am thinking that it is simple enough to try and do in python using a bot that has text abilities as the base for it, but I will need to consult a friend that knows python fluently enough to make it happen.

>Hackers have twice completely compromised Microsoft Edge operating on Windows 10 Red Stone 1 and for the first time twice broken VMWare Workstation without user interaction.

The four hacks were demonstrated at the PwnFest 2016 event held at the Power of Community security conference in Seoul on Thursday, with details to be provided to vendors and kept under wraps

A team at Beijing vulnerability firm Qihoo 360 successfully popped Edge on Windows 10, as did highly talented South Korean hacker Lokihardt, the latter's exploit being successful after only 18 seconds.

>Microsoft is YET to fix one of the exploits demonstrated by the Korean/Chinese hackers

When Microsoft releases its newest software, their not shipping their best. They're not shipping their most secured. They're shipping their worst with a lot of bugs and they're bringing more security holes. They're shipping zero-days. They're shipping security holes. They're awful. And some of them, I assume, are intentional.
