I like both clearlooks and flat themes.
Is there any theme that tries to be both and not completely fuck up?

screenfetch -ED solus
Since I mainly use my computer to watch anime I decided to go with a 32" TV as the monitor. My desktop, and icons are dark, but my internet browsers and the white spaces of my folders are stupidly bright, fixing one ruins the other. Fixing the red color problem which is ruining skin tones, affecting my gyaru fetish, and turning yellow orange just causes a slight blueish tint to the white and affects the color quality of my anime. My main gripe however is the characters, lines, images look soft/blurry like an old cartoon film. I have no problems watching anime on my 50" LG but I've stressed out all day for 2 days messing with the 32"s settings(that were available because just about everything is grayed out when connected to a PC) and am finally admitting defeat and starting to hope for sweet release.
Is this mainly a TV problem or will I have to worry about blurred anime/brights super bright + darks darker when choosing a new monitor?
When people say don't get a tv as a monitor fucking listen
>>57590565
So it's not a problem people typically have when getting a monitor?
>>57590124
>using a TV as a monitor
You need to listen to what people say dude.
Did Firefox just invent private browsing?
didn't that exist already, like on opera

Any opinions on Udemy?
All their courses are 12€ now (from 190€).
Im considering buying the C# + Unity one.

Have you done any real programming before? If you have, you don't need to buy any courses. If you haven't, do some programming first.
>>57590143
I have, but never really touched any game related stuff, it seems interesting.

He wrote stuff. So shut the fuck up and stop your envy.
Because he has been consistently right about DRM and privacy.
And software licenses, but I understand there might be some disagreement about that by people who are wrong.
What's the best messenger app?
For me it's definitely Telegram. It just has so many uncountable features compared to other messengers and I don't understand why people don't use it more often
Yeah, like insecure crypto. Into the trash it goes.

Yea no. There's also a secret chat option that allows only you and the person you're having a conversation with to see the messages, and they self destruct.

Let's have a thread for good Tech purchases. What have you bought within the last few years that's turned out great?

Also.
>mfw
My i5 4690k.
Unless zen seriously outperforms intel or kaby delivers considerable (read: not the 5% incremental upgrade skylake brought to the table) performance gains i have literally no reason to upgrade barring my mobo dying.

Solus is a meme.

>try a couple more times until I read that the BIOS has to be in UEFI mode. Set it up.
>USB finally boots. Everything looks good but no WiFi.
>Search for an hour on how to get it working.
>Use my phone's connection by USB. And use the Hardware Drivers tool included in Solus.
>Passes two hours and says: "installing 39 of 1, downloading randomshit.sha1"

Solus is a meme confirmed.
>>57589884

Why do most companies always seek for profit and not free knowledge?
>>57589756
Try going to a store and paying with knowledge.
>>57589799
Honestly, it would be nice if you could use labor in exchange for goods. Exchanging items/knowledge wouldn't work out too well as those have varying degrees of worth.
>>57589756
Because free knowledge doesn't pay the bills.

Yeah, it's all nice and nostalgic, that is until you realize how restrictive it used to be.
How do you build a computer from zero?
I don't mean assembly parts. I mean just from basic components like resistors, capacitors or transistors and wires.
>>57589671
You don't.
Now fuck off.
>>57589671
By studying electrical engineering.
