How is this website so fucking terrible
>>57887649
It isn't just me. The web design of this website always feel all over the place and loads slowly. It's like the poster child of a bloated web 3.0 website. This is the same reason I hate vising theverge.com

>>57887592
if she is not very computer literate - get her a tablet.
Neither. Get one of those "convertibles".
give her the easier one, designed for absolute internet newbies.
(or in other words, the chromebook)
Who's still using windows xp in 2016?
There are many things I miss about XP, but I'd never go back to it. Windows 7 really is much more stable.

I never entered any email address into my brother's amazon account. How the fuck did they figure out to send it to my other email?
>the botnet is real
>>57887438
UPS could have cross referenced your Amazon shipping details with what was in their database. You probably entered that email on a previous purchase.
>>57888072
*previous purchase not on
>>57887438
Do you have a UPS account? they notify the day before delivery on all packages with tracking.

What did Dijkstra mean by this?

He's an academic and unable to see the worth of practicality.

I think he's trying to tell us to use C#.
looking for a macbook experience without paying out the anus for it.
What do you guys think of the ASUS ZenBook with something like xfce on it
Paying out the anus is the macbook experience.
Other crucial parts of the macbook experience are having everyone be aware you've got a macbook thanks to the glowing Apple logo on the lid and carrying half a dozen dongles with you.
You can only have that last part with other products.
>>57887311
I'm vehemently against Apple morally. I think theyre a despicable company filled with greed and shouldn't be allowed to do business on earth.
That being said, I've been computer less for over a year and have been gifted a MacBook air 11.6" with an i5 and 4gb of ram. I'm just gonna throw in a 512gb 950/960 pro SSD and call it a day.
Kind of looking forward to it since privacy is beyond saving in 2017 and it's basically a stolen device. So I guess I'll enjoy the product since I am not so delusional as to deny the quality of the product. I only need it to study notes and take notes and watch YouTube so it should handle all of that relatively easy. Plus as long as apple does brick the device because it was lost in transit by a shipping mistake then it'll be a comfy fuck you to them.

8 doesn't have a start button. There is literally no reason to use it over 8.1.
You can't make an outbound firewall rule for the windows update service in 8.1 anymore.

We found this strange device in our student house and no one knows what it is. Any ideas of what it might be? Can it be some kind of recorder put by the landlord?
could you post more pictures?

Unplug it and see what stops working
>>57887199
Unplug it and see what happens... Are those holes? like slots for something? Or are those just rows of LEDs?
Is there nothing written on it? It could be some nonsense, I once saw a "electricity saver" which was just a box with a LED that you plugged in and apparently was supposed to "save electricity". Maybe your landlord is an idiot.
What kind of voodoo magic do they do to insure millions of packages within 1-2 days. I'm baffled on how efficient they are

Install TempleOS and find out for yourself
You're paying for 2-day shipping with your Prime membership, so where's the mystery? Your membership pays for 2-day shipping. Do you understand, familia?
>>57887593
Maybe if you order 1 product a month.
I order multiple things a week from Amazon, ranging from a few ounces to a few pounds and in some cases almost 100lbs when I'm ordering new tools or car parts.
I usually exhaust my 10$ for 2-day shipping within the first few days of the month.
But I'm a much larger consumerist than others. I enjoy a wide variety of things from collecting pens and pencils to working on cars with friends, video games, etc. I spent 400$ a month or two ago between like 9 different packages for new gear for my work.
Be original
