Is LG a good TV brand? Is LED the way to go?
What's in your mom's basement right now, and would you recommend it?
>>58264994
it depends.
if you can deal with the led backlight dimming issue then go ahead and get one.
>>58264994
If you're going high-end, then yes, LG OLED is as good as you can get.
If you're going cheap LCD, you're probably better off with Samsung.
>>58264994
>Is LG a good TV brand?
I've had several LG monitors, all only slightly outlasted their warranties.
>Is LED the way to go?
"Need more information" The best LED beats the best CCFL, but you're probably looking at shitty LED (long life, crappy colors) vs crappy CCFL (short life, better colors).
>What's in your mom's basement right now, and would you recommend it?
Last I checked, about 300 lbs of forgotten potatoes that have sprouted and are trying to form their own jungle. Would not recommend.
I voted mostly negavtive, did I do good?

It's okay.
Had issues with the undo multiple times when I tried to replace paint tool SAI with it.
It completely ate two images when I tired to undo something and I had to remake it from scratch.
Not sure if it's patched somewhere along the line but it was a huge pain in the ass.
Running SAI in wine currently.

I have acquired an old HP Pavilion DV6-2057cl laptop with an AMD Turion 2.2GHz processor, 4GB of DDR2 ram, a 95Wh 8800mAh battery. What non-meme Linux distro would make the best use of that battery? Thanks in advance.
Are you familiar with GNU+Linux ?

Yes.

why would you waste disk space like that? just install one good os and use that.
when are quantum processors coming out? are they going to support x86 architecture? will we need new OS's on these?
TFW no spare $10,000,000 laying around for my very own D-Wave, unable to quantum shitpost.
I'm pretty sure we're a long way off viable quantum computing to even consider running an OS on one.
>>58264464
>when are quantum processors coming out?
Already out if you believe d-wave is one.
>are they going to support x86 architecture?
Unlikely.
>will we need new OS's on these?
No. These devices will probably be an addon card similar to a graphics card or co-processor.

I feel nothing right now, not sadness or anger, about the fact that normies everywhere are levelling up in terms of their social experiences and I am even less likely to be able to ever relate to people.
I spent the entirety of 2016 in a part time job I hate, wasting my huge amount of free time on 4chan and telling myself that tomorrow I'd work hard and eat healthily. I never did, and I told myself every fucking day.
I am thinking about whether or not I should set myself a routine or "system" but I honestly think that sort of idea is BS at its core and limiting, so I won't.
>>58263648
>so I won't

Google drone here. Aside from bringing coffee for my Dept. Manager, I am also responsible for monitoring Google Images for inappropriate content, such as child pornography.
Employed for 8 months. Make $47,000. Not too shabby.

How is that stuff not automated with their new neural nets?
UI/UX designer, almost 100% ads.
My entire resume was cynical facetious sarcasm that I sent as a joke.
They didn't get the sarcasm and think I'm passionate about the "experience" of ads, and that I live and breath as a "creative".
The pay is pretty good so I'm living a lie everyday cynically mocking a culture and lifestyle I am a part of.
I wish the big quake would hit and take us all out to sea.
What's the best software to RIP CD's on linux?
On windows I used EAC, should I just run that through wine or is there a better alternative on linux?
>>58263506
K3b is nice I think.
>>58263646
Does it have error checking like EAC?
>>58263506
Nothing will replicate EAC if you need that brand of autism for a private tracker. K3B doesn't make the same kind of logs.
I need an application that uses a port, so I can test why port forwarding is not working as intended.
I was going to run a minecraft server, but it is not running in this OS. Any ideas on software I can run to force a port, other than apache/nginx?
>>58263332
just download that special torrent that reports your port status
telnet on whatever target port you're using
Node js, it would take about 3 minutes to set up
