SJW Firefox
What went so wrong for us to have this shit?
>>58556509
>there's no
>made me feel like a cuck
why even bother if they don't include the actual full range of feels.
>>58556514
You can't spell Jews without SJW.
>app you love
>app updates
>app gets worse
>>58556499
>not having backups
srsly how do people keep getting trololololed by these cuckdates?
Been a while since I've seen a dedicated Firefox thread.
>>58556499
>app you enjoy
>minor faults
>tell developer my improvement ideas
>next version of app includes all of them
Look at that meaty Enter key and properly sized and spaced arrow keys!
Why has nobody else thought of making an ultraportable with a good keyboard before?
>that
>ultra portable
good one.
>>58556476
>Look at that meaty Enter key
Yeah, looks fucking retarded.
>>58556476
Off-center trackpad.... into the trash it goes. How the fuck could anyone live with that kind of crookedness?????
> only criminals are allowed to avoid botnet.
what's your excuse?

I don't have anything else to do
>sees people raging over how good macOS is
>never tried
>remembers that macOS only runs on mac hardware
>googles hackintosh
>needs a mac to begin with
>nearest mac is like 50 miles away
>no
>"macOS all kexts included no mac needed"
>ok, puts onto usb
>boots
>"still waiting for root device"
>tries all kinds of other kexts, boot flags, etc.
>still doesn't work
>gives up
>next day installs macOS onto a VM
>makes an USB
>punches in random shit from a tonymacx86 thread in clover configs for the same CPU
>success
>tries to boot
>black screen blinking cursor
why does this shit even exist
your dumb
>>58556330
It was much, much worse years ago
Then again, OS X was good enough to almost warrant the effort. Now? Meh.
>>58556330
>macOS
kys
Why do people whine so much about Firefox these days? You won't shut the fuck up about the SJW boogeyman (which somehow you think affects you as an end user of some fucking web browser)
>>58556304
they are triggered
I don't wine about Firefox. I don't even use the shit.
>>58556304
because /pol/ is leaking
Firefox may be slower by a couple percentile, anything else being said is just flaming assburgers.
If I need to use a console text editor, nano does the job quick and easy with no learning curve. Otherwise I can use literally any GUI text editor that isn't fucking notepad
>>58556098
Terrible shitpost. If you have a job where you can be more productive with a good editor setup, it doesn't matter if you're more effective with WebStorm or Visual Studio or vim.
>>58556098
Yep, can't understand the vim circlejerk. It can't do anything that justifies it.
>>58556098
>Otherwise I can use literally any GUI text editor that isn't fucking notepad
vim and emacs are both options for that, since they have gui versions.
Is this a good book for python?
Has anyone read it
Do you want to learn about derivative analytics and Python happens to be the language you're comfortable with? Then it's most likely at least an acceptable book.
If you're a beginner looking to learn Python, then no. In that case you're also most likely retarded, because only an idiot would even think that's an appropriate book to learn the basics from.
>>58556438
I already know the basics but I want to learn practical applications of programming.
I've been struggling with that. I've learned and have a firm grasp of programming concepts but my next question has been "What now?".
>>58556519
Create something?!?!?!?/!!
AHAHAHAHAHAHA
>If you’re one of the many Windows users still hanging on to Windows 7 with a tight grasp, Microsoft wants you to know that it’s not super happy about it. The company, which has already admitted that it used some shady tactics to get users to upgrade from 7, 8, and 8.1 to 10, is now trying a new approach by suggesting that continuing to use Windows 7 will inevitably lead to security issues for you as a user.

>>58556063
They tried this before over the years. Microsoft never changes.
Once WIndows 7 is dead I'm moving back to Linux. Not a chance in hell am I switching to that botnet.

>moving back
>ever leaving in the first place
Dual boot.
Have obtained a free power pc macintosh. What can i do with it?
So far ive come up with:
1. Install linux, put in kitchen
2. Install linux, put in bathroom
3. Install linux put back in closet
what actually is it
run OS 9 on it or 10.4+9 dualboot if it's a DDR model, don't waste it doing the same shit you can do on a cheap-ass thrift store core 2 box but 10 times slower
or at least put openBSD on it
>>58556011
Emac g4, cool open bsd supports it. Might try that instead.
>>58555995
trash it, power pc is useless
and don't install BSD it's garbage for people with social disorders
>leave /g/ for 2 years
>come back and its still the same Chinkpad+Loonix shill board.

What REALLY motivated you to learn to program?
On my resume I like to talk about how when I was younger, my passion for programming began when I was giving my first computer at age 6.
The truth however, is that in my teens I heard that computer programming was a big field, that basically shoots you to the upper middle class (USAfag here). There was a girl I liked at the time and I was poor, so I decided to learn to program so that I can become rich.
Fast forward 10 years later, I have all of this money and experience, but I never got her.
What initially made you want to program?
Were you interested in hacking?
Did you look at your computer as your only friend?
Perhaps you wanted to make a website like FB and get famous?
Did you want to build something?
I wonder if any of you were motivated by such ambitions:
If you want to build a ship, don’t drum up the men to gather wood, divide the work and give orders. Instead, teach them to yearn for the vast and endless sea.
its the only thing im remotely good at and doesnt make me want to kill myself. woodworking seems cool too, but programming is basically free (i think thats a big part of it for most people).
>>58555922
before you were good at it, why did you start?
Just because it was free?
>>58555944
I can't even remember. I know I had some books for it pre-3rd grade but I never really started actually working at it until I started college. The lack of motivation is countered by me being forced to work, I would like to just skip to the (good) job part of life but I have no portfolio from years of just doing nothing (go home, stare at google homescreen/wall, go to sleep, go to school repeat).
5 points if you know what language the pic is...
> be me
> talking with coworkers
> coworker: "Lua, Python,JS, Ruby, PHP, ActionScript... all came out in the 90s, we're all now moving to static types... with Rust and Golang, Ruby and Lua are headed out the door. Python will stick around for easier stuff that can bind to see and its not stupid (ref: MoonScript). Sadly, ActionScript was better than JS but its here to stay."
Is my coworker right? Are scripting languages on their way out?
>>58555890
ActionScript?
Dynamic typing made more sense back before type inference and generics became mainstream. Things like typescript, optional type notation in newer versions of JS seem to indicate things going in that direction, but I'm bad at predicting technology trends.

whats the best way to clean a keyboard?
>>58555821
Just buy a new one.
What are you, poorfag?
>>58555821
how do you even reach that point ffs
why is every fucking thread bait
>>58555821
Air gun. Just blow it all out and pretty much turn the keyboard upside down and shake it
