iPhone 6s user here, looking to upgrade sometime in the next year or so. I'm seriously considering the switch over to Android, and I'll admit one of my biggest motivators is Apple's removal of the headphone jack.
Is this an overreaction? I'm a bit worried I'll miss the convenience of things like iMessage and FaceTime. I realize Android has its own alternatives to these services, but it seems like it would be such a pain in the ass to get everyone on the same page as you when most of them are using Apple products.
I'm also always hearing horror stories about text messages getting stuck in the iMessage system...

im sure you'll find some girly-looking android phone which will satisfy you OP. you dont need a €800+ phone to post boipussy pics on tumblr

What exactly is a "girly-looking phone"?

Is there a faster way to delete posts from a facebook profile? I need to erase two years of wasted time.

Fuck off shitposter, I'm serious. I'm going through shitloads of pointless messages and pictures and deleting every single one.

Hi, arduino noob programmer here,
I have a question:
How can i make a delay(x); from beginning of a function and not just a delay itself?
example:
>> "" beginn of delay"" -> stepper.step(123); ""delay continues till next argument"" <<
you mean delaying the whole function or what?
Silly Apoo. Instead of programming timing function, just take apart a clock to keep track of time for you.
>The situation is so much better for programmers today - a cheap used PC, a linux CD, and an internet account, and you have all the tools necessary to work your way to any level of programming skill you want to shoot for.

can you make a firewall that leaves blood on the screen
You have access to an entire library in your hometown. The only thing stopping you from absorbing that information and using it to make yourself healthy, wealthy, and wise is your laziness.
I want to replace my 2 250GB SATA drives with a single 500GB drive. They're connected to the same SATA card and are in a RAID stripe set up. Can I just plug a single 500GB drive in instead?
>>58557847
Yes.
I used a PCI-E 1x raid controller before and had two drives, none in raid, just regular AHCI mode.
>>58557847
if you want RAID you'll need more than one drive, if you simply want to move your stuff from two 250GB drives to a single 500GB drive, then yes you can.
>2 250GB
>SATA card
Is your computer really really old? I don't get it. Maybe I'm just ignorant.
Be honest, is switching from windows 7 to Ubuntu even worth it if I want to learn programming and I dislike IT problems a lot?

Some one give mark a lab coat.

Yes if my old grandfather can use it so can you.
I just noticed that those VR sets is the Samsung Gear VR. I wonder what they are watching..
Search in Windows 10 LTSB N doesn't find installed apps
Same thing on other Windows 10 editions too if you disable Cortana.
Anyone know how to fix this?
Oh sweet no replies I get to be the unhelpful dickhead today.

No but it has GIMP which will do 70% of what Photoshop will do with 300% more work.

I am of average intelligence with no prior programming experience beyond basic web dev shit. I am, however, obsessed with old computers from the 80s such as the Spectrum ZX, C64 etc. It is my life's ambition to learn how to program in BASIC and hack around with these old legends from my childhood. I want to write a Spectrum game before I die, without the use of emulators.
Is it beyond the realm of possibility for a regular Joe like me to learn how to hack around with old school computers and their pitiful memory? This is a long term goal. Where do I even start?
have you tried tilting at windmills?
Old hardware is usually very well documented, companies werent as jewish and desperate to track their users back then. You can probably find hardware and programming manuals for the low on amazon for the device you have and you can find em for free online most likely
Get an Amstrad CPC. Amstrads don't have a cult following since they weren't popular at all in the US (Even compared to the Spectrum/ZX81). This means they're cheap. Also, they have a great community in the UK, Spain and France. Oh, and they have Locomotive BASIC, which is best BASIC.

I see this indiegogo, how they think that somebody will spend 6 bucks for this? I'm crazy or are they crazy?
they are.

Welp.
Ok, but we all know how Indiegogo works... 100,000 $ were spent by Pill crew, 10,00 by their parents, the remaining could be real people... and they are not spending 600/each, only 200/each
What are some technical things that a normie can learn about computers that most people don't know?
I can use the CLI reasonably well but beyond that, there isn't much I know about the hidden depths of my desktop. I want to become more knowledgable about computers in general. What is some cool, interesting and useful stuff to learn about them?

Better yet: tree. Simple and you can also make it recursive with goto so that it runs indefinitely.

Should there be a different weight messuered in 1 and 2?
Google moments and do basic physics again
>>58557515
No, assuming that stays balanced/attached somehow
>>>/g/sqt
>>58557515
The weight would introduce torque due to the extended lever. If the torque was countered somehow, it would measure the same force.
My bank sent me a new debit card recently and it has Visa paywave in addition to the usual exposed chip, I was wondering if a magnet on my phonecase could ruin the either one of the chips on the card, when I used some random steel objects to find the magnet on the case, the objects (nail clippers and a small pair of scissors) became magnetized & remain so even two months afterwards.
The reason I am asking are the two card pockets on the case that I thought might be handy for paying at stores without taking the card out of my wallet every time (I'll save the argument about how insecure paywave is for some other time, thank you)
>>58557438
>(I'll save the argument about how insecure paywave is for some other time, thank you)
on a second thought scratch that, let's discuss how secure paywave actually is, both of my banks (I have two debit cards from different banks, because reasons) claim their systems will require the user to enter PIN every now and then, but so far I haven't seen it happen, have any of you heard of anyone who has used paywave/equivalent & been asked to enter PIN?
in my country, if you try to pay more than ~13$ equivalent in our currency, you have to enter pin
>>58557636
here it's 40€ maximum for paywave & (supposedly-) randomly requiring PIN
So I have an exam in 3 hours in Linux command line. I have 2 questions I can't seem to find the answers for on the web; what's a quantum and what's an epoch? thanks guys!
>>58557436
> what's a quantum
HDD manufacturer.
>>58557436
An epoch is a measure of the number of times all of the training vectors are used once to update the weights. For batch training all of the training samples pass through the learning algorithm simultaneously in one epoch before weights are updated.
epoch is an obsure eeprom fab company
