Post companies that slip spyware into your software.
I'll start: Micros***t
I'm sorry that your bait thread didn't work out so well for you.
Also, just because you don't understand what a word means or how a technology works doesn't mean that some /pol/-tier meme is going to tell you the truth.
Go ahead and get all the "cuck, mircoshit, xD" nonsense out of your system now, as no one that matters is going to take you seriously in the least bit when that's all you have to say.

Hello and welcome back to /cpg/.
Here we discuss the vintage antics of the cassette player, which for those who don't know, was a popular transportable medium used in the 80s and 90s.
Last thread we again got accused of being autistic and even troglodytes. Moreover, some anons showed their tape decks and other vintage appliances.
Highlights:
>>58542241 - Anon shows off his Optimus setup.
>>58542664 - Anon shows the people of /cpg/ his tank from the 80s, which can both play cdees, tapes and even vinyl.
>>58542739 - Anon loves NAGRA!
>>58542833 - Buttons are shown on the Amstrad setup.
>>58542946 - A very sweet looking Panasonic is shown by anonski.
>>58543121 - An ole Commodore cassette player is presented.
>>58544510 - Lucky Anon shows us his findings, which include a Technics RS-B18 deck and 1 euro tapes.
>>58548395 - Anon shows his "not so fancy" 1970s cassette deck off, which actually does look sweet.
>>58549011 - And lastly, anon shows us his very special Crown blaster and walkman off.
Share your findings and tops for beginners here, and have an enjoyable browsing experience into the old.

When was the last time you saw anybody use a Windows phone?
Never. Poland is pretty much Android country.
I have never ever.
I didn't even know it actually existed
Ive been doing some IT work for a relatively small middle private school, they have a dozen Samsung printers and the cost for each toner cartridge is high particularly due to the cost of the chips.
So, my supervisor asked if i knew how to modify the printers so the cartridges dont need chip anymore, just toner refills which another guy does for them.
Ive never done this but i know its a modified firmweare i need to flash, question is... do any of you guys know where to find these files? or if theres actually a way of finding them for free? the ones ive found sell them for $30 bucks and just for ONE machine.
>>58561246
So not only you want to steal the rights to use someone else's invention, but you alos want to steal the tools you're supposed to use to steal someone else's invention? Fucking nigger, call the cops on your supervisor.
>>58561246
maybe they should stop printing so much

MACFAGS AND LINCUKS BOTNETTED FOR YEARS

HOW ARE THEY GOING TO RECOVER?
>>58561222
obvious malwarebytes propaganda as well as crappy attempt at advancing the liberal "russia hacked us" agenda
On windows the botnet comes built in
The only vector to get this malware is to download and install it yourself. The infected macs had users who literally installed random garbage from an email attachment and ran it.
People were memeing CNC as this super awesome job oppurtunity a few years back
What happened to it all?

Why don't you send me a fax while you're at it grandpa
Because I use mmh which is actual command line rather than gui/tui so it can be scripted.
For the most part, I can perfectly understand, and compare and contrast any other PC component. I know what brands are good, I can understand the specs. So when it comes to shopping for CPUs, graphic cards, RAM, cases, etc., I know what I'm looking at.
For motherboards on the other hand, I really have no clue, other than board size and CPU socket, so give me some tips /g/
What should I look for when doing a basic/itjustwerks build?
For a gayimg build?
Any other tips to keep in mind?
I would also like to know this. When I built my machine I built it around the gtx 1080, that's all I cared about. Would like to know where I messed up.
the answer is that it literally doesnt't matter, motherboards are a meme product.
just get the cheapest one that has all the features/slots you need
I just look for what I need. What kind of ram it can take, how many slots, how many ports, what socket, etc
What do you use to encrypt your hdds /g/?
Truecrypt website claims its not safe anymore. Is that a pathetic attempt from NSA to make us switch to compromised alternatives like bitlocker/veracrypt?
>>58560741
Why do you even need encryption? I'm guessing you're doing something illegal.
All encryption has a backdoor in it, so don't even try to do something unscrupulous.
They're always watching.
> Implying businesses don't need encryption to handle sensitive data
>>58560768
Why do you shut your bathroom door anon if you have nothing to hide?
Why don't you let me install a surveillance cam in your bedroom? Clearly, you're an honest citizen who's got nothing to hide. Why hesitate if I want to verify.
>a picture is worth a thousand words

>Encourage contributions by people underrepresented in the community
https://www.fsf.org/campaigns/priority-projects/contribute
>Free software relies on contributions from community members. But systemic barriers often prevent interested individuals from becoming contributors, especially when those individuals are from groups that have been historically marginalized.
>The free software movement is a movement for everyone's freedom. It cannot succeed if it does not expand and make the effort to welcome all people.
>Initiatives like Outreachy provide support and opportunities for underrepresented people to engage with free software projects and become active contributors. By actively working to empower many kinds of people to contribute to free software, the project introduces entire communities to the concept of software freedom, via members of their community. More contributors and users, and a greater diversity of thought and experience, make the free software community stronger.
