When will the web move away from Javascript just how it moved away from Flash?
>>58563837
>away from Javascript
are you retarded? static html itself is dying and JS is taking over.
>>58563919
That's what they said about Flash. You don't remember all-Flash websites?
Also find me a full-JS website that even runs good on most PCs. For all the thing about Flash's performance, JS is even shitter at that.
Typescript interpreters in browsers, but that's essentially just a future version of ecma. This sort of programming style is probably never going away and only shitty programmers make it look bad.

Scriptbabby here, writing a PYTHON SPIDER.
I'm told using '/' or '\' is very bad. So ...
So using OS module, I'm writing,
HOME = os.path.expanduser('~')
os.chdir(os.path.join(HOME,os.path.join("Documents", "Updates")))
which is clearly not ideal. Suggestions, help... wanted
In Python, how do I remove giant spaces from my data fetched.

My browser (Chromium fork) can view and type into fields, but can't sign it while LibreOffice fucks the whole PDF's format up on opening

How does Android Wear work for audio control?
Is it a universal audio control, for whatever is in focus? Like how ordinary bluetooth controllers and Pebbles work? Or does it only work with specific apps on the phone like Google Play Music, with a special watch counterpart (((app))) needed?
I'm trying to figure out if it could be useful for me. I don't care about notifications and shit, just want handy one-tap audio controls for use across all my audio apps.
bumpu
pls halpu, I can't find an answer anywhere. I've read afford and watched several videos, I still can't quite figure it out.
I've got a Moto 360 gen 1, and if I open an app that has audio, it gives me options to (at the very least) increase/decrease audio levels (and with certain apps like YouTube, Spotify, other music players, etc.) skip tracks/ go to the next or previous video. This even happens if I were to go to a website in chrome (pretty much only audio level adjustment).
>>58565324
Thanks fampai.
Did you encounter any instances where the app on your phone was clearly playing audio (music, podcast, audio file) but the watch didn't show any controls?
Also can the screen for the audio controls stay always-on? Or does it always switch off after a few moments?
And finally, how's the battery for you?
I hope you like memeterial design, lol

Toshiba burns after it bought a company with massive financial trouble.
http://www.reuters.com/article/us-toshiba-stocks-idUSKBN15301O
What do you think /g/? Will it survive or will it start a worldwide tech crash?
Bump?
Why would this cause a tech crash?
>>58563248
Because Toshiba is a big company and does the manufacturing for many important parts, ICs, sensors, cameras, all sorts of stuff you are using right now despite the brand on it was made in a Toshiba fab.
