I hatched pic related for a class project I am working on. Theyre praying mantids, one egg sack hatched and I got ~160 of them, the second hasnt hatched yet but theyll end up being purely for my yard.
I am trying to find a program to run an image of a bug by them at varying speeds and fps. My first idea was to change the mouse cursor and use an auto mouse program to move it at varying speeds that I could control somewhat and varying the monitors refreshrate to look at differences in fps.
Is there a better way to do this? Running a black "bug" on a white screen doesnt that *that* difficult, but i am not sure what program I could use to accomplish this?
Pic related, its my ~160 kids that hatched today
Just play a fucking video
>>59536424
Videos tend to only be 24fps though right?
Does something like VLC allow me to adjust playback speed on the fly?

>Videos tend to only be 24fps though right?
Holy shit
Should I sell my i5 3570 and throw another $90-100 down on a locked i7? Ebay prices seem to be ~$70 for 3570 and $150-160 for the i7. Another 100mhz isnt much but that HT
>>59536364
just overclock the 3570k ... mine is running at 4.4ghz without any issues at all for over a year now.
the i5 k versions are actually i7s
>locked i7
Might as well try to buy a used xeon or wait for rypoo 5. Could also try your luck with an engineering sample i7 from overseas. Keep in mind I also just hate locked CPUs with a passion.

It's not a K sku

Sandy/Ivy can go +4 turbo on P67 and up 1155 boards and +4 plus lock all cores to single core turbo on Z7X boards, giving you 4.1/4.3 or 4.3/4.3 turbo on a 3770. 3570 is running 4.0/4.2 now.
Umm, anon, you're laptop display is ten eighty pee, right?
no its 1600x900
>>59536190
of course it is, it's a shame the color is so terrible though
>>59536190
But of course. And I would've gone higher if it had more eDP lanes.
wtf i love gimp now
Any reason why one would place all the palettes to one side? Would seem inefficient to have to travel that far all the times to access the tools.

>Would seem inefficient to have to travel that far all the times to access the tools.
Yeah, right...
>>59536394
Damn, that's interesting.
The difference is being third and first result is giantic.

I think I just shot him an offer, thanks.

Seriously underpowered, OP.
I've been using Clover for over a year, it's fairly decent, but I noticed I can't post new threads with it.
Someone told me 4chan blocks posting from android apps.
>>59536033
Firefox
>>59536042
Fuck it and fuck you. At least in Clover I have a decent notifier & thread watcher.
Also disappointed that I can't make new posts in clover. I just open the board in browser through clover and then bookmark my thread after I make it
Okay, so I have a Mac running Virtualbox
I have windows 10 and centOS running.
I have a domain pointed to my mac and I use that to log into my windows vm and I use port forwarding to do that.
how would I be able to specify which vm I want to log into? I can't figure it out I've been googling all day.
>>59536026
>Okay, so I have a Mac
Found your problem.
>>59536104
in all seriousness

I need to create cylindrical, diagonally-facing poles from the bottom circles to the top circles, but I don't actually know how to do that.

Don't use sketchup.
WHEN IS AMD GOING TO RELEASE VEGA!?!?!?!?
HURRY UP AND FUCKING RELEASE IT YOU INCOMPETENTS!!!!
>>59535925
even if they release in 3 months, it still won't be ready
my 7970 is ready
>>59535959
This.
Is there anyway I can edit this Hosts file on my phone without rooting it?
>>59535936
Will any kind of rooting program work? I won't need something specific to my phone right? As long as it's designed for android?
>>59535906
Unlock the bootloader and you can do it using ADB.
What are the things I can do on other systems but can't on MacBookPro?
Elaborate precisely.

I found this out after buying a macbook pro, it's a great laptop but there are limitations coming from linux

Phone cameras killed Kodak and 145000 middle class jobs.
Amazon killed 1200 Borders stores.
Netflix destroyed Blockbuster killing 60000 jobs.

That's why we need universal basic income.

Start mailing bombs or something,then.
I got called in a meeting today with my boss and a tech guy.
They pulled out my entire browsing history and it was a lot of boards.4chan.org
They asked me a lot of questions about what the hell i am actually doing with my life.
Is this even legal? Can i prevent this from happening again somehow? They gave me an ultimatum and said they monitor every fucking step i take and if i ever do this again ill get fired.
Why don't they just block 4chan outright? I suspect the tech fag is reading this tomorrow cause he jerks off to hentai like you guys.
Maybe you should be on 4chan at home and actually be doing your job at work instead of trying to treat your boss like a cuck.
>>59535727
You're getting fired for being shit.
Then know you're weak enough to actually take this and continue being their pawn. If you had any ounce of respect or talent, you would leave and find another job.
What computers hold their value the most? pic unrelated
Pic related actually, medical devices

Radiation hardened CPUs in space probes
Voyager 1 was launched in 1977
entered interstellar space
and is still in contact with Earth.
128 register, nibble-serial CPU and 8096 words of 16-bit RAM. It ran about 80,000 instructions per second.
If you could retrieve Voyager 1, it would probably sell for far more than its original price adjusted for inflation ^:)

>>59535608
this, you can make a lot of money selling refurbished medical equipment
Matter can only produce emergent properties. Emergent properties only exist subjectively. There is no such thing as mind-independent, objective emergent properties, in the same way there is no such thing as mind-independent, objective information. Only the mind gives these things meaning. The mind objectively exists. Thus the mind isn't an emergent property. Thus the mind can't be produced by matter. Thus the mind is immaterial. Computers can't produce immaterial things. Thus computers can't produce minds.
It can be deduced that matter cannot produce consciousness, because there is no such objective thing as "emergent properties." An electron, or any number of electrons, passing between any number of points, in any permutation, through any combination or permutation of mediums, cannot produce consciousness, because of the simple fact that matter is never objectively more than its parts.
The mind necessarily precedes quantification. Without it, no computation even has any meaning.

Sorry, atheists, but you are not gods, and your wishful fantasies won't save you..
>>59535561
>I'm retarded, the post about how technology won't advance
Remove matter from a brain and you have less consciousness. Thus you can fuck off.
>>59535658
That's not even remotely true, lol. You fucking what.
I'm a brainlet but it was my understanding that the computers of today are laughably inefficient and we have yet to come close to exploring the realms of computing with DNA, which would open up the possibility of sentient CPU's.
Aren't the neurons of a brain similar to the busses of a CPU?
