I have been on the fence on buying an Apple Watch for some time, but recently my FitBit Charge HR crapped out (again) and I don't feel like begging FitBit to replace it (again).
I run and swim a lot, so something with HR-monitor and GPS is almost a necessity.
The Apple Watch Series 2 is what I decided on for factors: decent HR/GPS in comparison to hardcore sports-enthusiast watches made by Garmin ($400), but with better software support and accessories.
It's the accessories that make me hate Apple:
I want an Apple Watch Series 2 Aluminum in Silver (not Space Gray).
It only comes in a faggy white sports band. I'd have to shell out another $49 for a different color, or settle for an eBay knock-off that will likely come apart while I'm swimming in the bay.
What does /g/ think of the Apple Watch Series 2?
Have any of you done extensive activities with a Series 1? What do you think of it?
Thanks in advance.
Pete.

The Series 2 is your best bet with what you're doing. The Series 1 can do this stuff, but the water resistance and GPS is a guarantee to go with the series 2. Also it gives the benefit of not taking your phone out if you're talking to someone or doing something business related.
I personally think wearables are still at that award stage where it's still considered a gimmick. But if you were to get a smartwarch, the Apple Watch is your bet due to having a lot of dev support. I picked up a Moto 360 Gen 1 for $70 and really regret it since Google already dropped support for it already and app choice is very limited.
It looks like you already did your homework on all of this and I approve your purchase.

Nice, but I sincerely hope people aren't using AC3 outside of shitty DVD's.

Shrine 5.03 was just released, probably the last version for a while.
Comes with the latest TOS kernel and a bunch of bug fixes over the pre-releases.

Also, templeOS general
I've been out of the loop the last few weeks. What's been happening with Terry?

HERESY
By the way, does anybody know how to set something like a global variable in the OS?
Basically I need to detect if a certain program (that I can modify) has been executed since boot.
Looking into Fs->hash_table isn't enough, because the program might've been run in a different task.
HI /g/,
Can you tell me wheter these headphones are good for sharing a room with another person at work? I've read that leakage isn't that large, but still, I'd rather keep my music to myself.
If not, are HD 669 a good replacement?
I've been also thinking about AKG 518, because of their quite portable and casual since they're not so large.
I have had this pair for the last 2 years and my roommate never complained. They are really good and you should get them
They leak horribly

I did the install gentoo meme on my laptop, am I a real /g/entooman now?
Also, can anyone give me some gentoo tips? Like shit you wished you knew when you started using it?

>>59528731
Do you enjoy being a total faggot? Because that's what it honestly seems like. Why did you even install gentoo? "Falling for the x meme" is not an excuse for your incompetence and faggotry. Kill yourself.

>>59528641
Android took over and was vastly superior. At the time Symbian wasn't bad, for the N-95 etc.
>>59528683
No, that's a "sybian".
Nothing really, it was a great platform in the early 2000s

Integrated graphics still count
Just blindly interact with your computer you fag
If any single program you use is not GPU accelerated on some level then the programmer of said program is doing something horribly, horribly wrong. Hell, even terminals use GPU-accelerated font rendering even though the OS handles all that.
>>59528703
Doesn't literally EVERY browser support GPU acceleration nowadays? Since 2015, even?
What are some God tier paid mobile apps that are so good you actually bought them?

What's the absolute cheapest way to setup a Plex server at home that (a) doesn't require me to have my PC plugged in 24/7, and (b) is fanless or as quiet as possible?
If by "plugged in" you mean "powered on", that issue can be solved by writing a few scripts to listen to the Plex port and send a WOL request when it sees activity. It costs $0.

raspberry pi
That entirely depends on how many people you're going to stream to and how much content it is, and the format of the content

You're overclocking the wrong chip if you want higher FPS.
