It's probably BS because sites like facebook has security measures in place to mitigate BF attacks.

If you enter the wrong password too many times it will probably lock you out for so many minutes making BF impracticle.

Why does anyone even need these overpriced turds? They're slow in most applications because of shitty clockspeed and cost more than some organs, besides a GPU is faster hundreds of times than a CPU.

It's literally useless to 99% of the population

I do, and for anyone having a use case of a million cores can just get a GPU to do it.

And those are less than 1% of the world

I have a question...

I have a Seagate 1 TB SSHD (the one with 32 GB of NAND) as the primary hard drive in my Precision M6500, and I'm not sure if it's working or not... when I got it, it was unsealed... Seagate will replace it no problem, but it's a hassle and it takes time.

I run Windows 10 at the expense of no stock Bluetooth for some reason, and when I boot after a restart (not fastboot, a real restart), after POST and shit when it starts bootstraping, it takes 26-ish seconds from the time the BIOS logo goes away to the time the login background appears and I can login.

I remember running Windows 10 on the 7,200 RPM drive that came with the computer, and I'm not sure it's that much faster... Like, not SSD-fast, anyway...

Anyone has any insight? How long does it take you to reboot into Windows 10 with a normal 5,400 RPM drive? Anyone else got a SSHD?

I'm worried I got screwed again ._.

Picture is the video cards with heatsink assemblies I swapped last Friday (Quadro 2800 for FirePro 7820).

The NAND will only cache the last 32GB of data read from the drive. The way Windows 10 fastboot doesn't actually fully power off the system, and just puts the CPU into a deep sleep power state. Its basically a glorified hibernate mode. Most of the files that get used when cold booting windows never leave the system RAM. This means they rarely get cached my the NAND, so everything has to be read from the HDD.

Will installing a VM with Tails on it provide any additional security as opposed to simply running Windows or iOS?

Would installing Tails as the only OS be a better option?
9 posts and 2 images submitted.
>>
You don't install tails. You run it as a live USB on bare metal.
>>
>>59539379
tails is not meant to be installed in a fucking VM, that's the point.

Live from a USB flash drive is optimal but i guess installing it won't hurt
>>
>>59539379
The entire point of Tails is that it self destructs upon shut down "installing" it is missing the point.

How many of you still browses with your laptop? Tell me the performance different between it and your phone.

Phone is the Droid Turbo 1, I browse on the app Mimi. It is faster to browse through single threads, but only lets me have one board open at a time and makes it a pain in the ass to manage if I have more than 2-3 threads open. I much prefer to browse on my desktop/ laptop. Desktop is custom made, laptop is an acer aspire e15.
