What is the measure of quality of protein? Is there something like a rank of which protein gets absorbed the most by your body?
Just like with the glycemic index etc.
what I have read and heard about quality of protein supplements is the type protein and amino acids in them. The way they measure protein content in protein containers/supplements/blends is by the total amount of amino acids present. There is this thing that some companies do that is called "amino spiking" where they throw in cheap synthesized amino acids into their pure whey/isolate. 25g of protein will come from the whey/isolate and then say the other 15 grams of protein will be measured out from that cheap blend. If you google amino spiking it will explain things in full detail. This is just the concept behind the measure of quality.
In terms of absorption, your body can only absorb a certain rate of protein before the rest goes to waste. I can't remember the amount of protein per serving exactly at the top of my head but I think 30 grams per serving was the recommended amount. When it comes to rank, well, that will have to be answered by someone else. Not sure if your stomach chemically bases which protein gets absorbed mostly since s protein is made up of amino acid chains. If anyone else knows more on this feel free to respond. And this is why you rarely see raw conjugate lifters using bands and chains except to overload specific muscles. If anyone actually read the fucking book of methods they'd know that accomadating resistance is nothing but a tool in conjugate, never was it intended to be implemented for all lifters.
