How does one use plantain/broadleaf plantain in foods? I mean the seeds part, not leaves. The seeds help with ulcerative colitis, you can make tea with them as well, but I read they can also be used in foods (after being fried/baked a bit).
That being said, I have no idea how much should be used and how frequently. Should I just test it out?

You only need to marinade them for a few minutes. Putting them into vinegar too long will probably turn them into ceviche.

So I finally got a Thermopop instant-read thermometer /ck/ (no was I shelling out for a Thermapen). For those of you that already have one, what are some recipes or techniques that really improve or work best using it?

I wanted a quiche for breakfast tomorrow, so I started to make a quiche shell. Now, I'm changing my mind because of the amount of eggs I would have to use. There is now pie crust dough chilling in my fridge.
