Similar to pic, The gas station on my way to work has french toast and sausage tornado's. Shit is amazing, but at the same time, it's kinda disgusting that something so tasty, containing flavors of french toast, sausage, and maple syrup is contained in this wrap that cooks on rollers in a gas station.
I get two and scarf them down like the fat bastard I am. I'm so ashamed of myself for loving these

Fillet is good, but kind of bland and overrated. Also, fillet is pretty hard to mess up as long as you don't overcook it. Hanger, brisket, flank requires a deft hand to prepare, maybe that's why it's so good.

Do these even exist anymore? You know, with the candles stuck in chianti bottles?
It seems like the only place where I can get a good old-fashioned chunk of lasagna, or a plate of spaghetti and meatballs, other than my own home of course, are local sandwich shops and pizzerias, if they have that stuff on their menu. If I go to an actual "Italian" place, it always has some fancy spin on those dishes where they put avocado on the lasagna or whatever.
I think there's something to be said for a by-the-numbers dish of pasta and homemade tomato sauce from some old family recipe that's better than what I'll ever make. Nothing ultra-sophisticated.

I have no idea, the only time I ever go to Starbucks is when I took the 6 AM to O'Hare and it's the shortest detour to get coffee between the gate and the taxi stand. And I usually get an energy drink because the coffee is nasty. Also I put it on the company credit card and I don't look at the cost.
