Poor quality, but tasty and very unhealthy.
anything I eat while driving
These are for next week, but I needed to get them today.
Also, my power is out.
Also also, does anyone recommend any other green peppers? This is for an upcoming cooking thread.
you could get some Serranos. what are you going to make?
>>7084210
The peppers themselves are going into a homemade hot sauce and from there into a home made buffalo sauce of a green color. Some will be used as a spicy puréed topping to grilled chicken.
Also I literally haven't been able to find serranos at either grocery store in town. I think walmart might have just been sold out.
Power is back on!
Manly foods thread.
We posts foods that help us assert our strength and confidence as men.
Foods that are undercooked, high in protein, extremely hot, or risky-to-eat are welcome here.
I'll start with a few favorites:
> Bacon cheeseburger with mayo.
This item has so many manly things going on it's truly difficult to list them all. For starters, there's the cholesterol, which makes it dangerous; this is definitely not the type of food you eat if you fear death. Then there's the protein, which helps build musculature. Then there's the total lack of any sweet flavors, which sharply differentiates this item from female fare.
> Chili with piles of cayenne pepper, cooked with beer.
Chili is generally a pretty bro food, it was a staple of the wild west, when you add a lot of cayenne pepper or habanero or jalepeno it's hot AF, and adding beer of course makes it basically testosterone in a bowl.
> Large cuts of steak.
No comment necessary.
> Ribs.
Just generally associated with manliness, also the visual presentation is extremely manly, it appears as though you are ripping apart and devouring a beast you killed in the field.
> Bratwurst.
A staple of german-American football culture, extra point if you call them 'brats' and add sauerkraut.
> Any Guy Fieri recipe.
When you cook food made by guy Fieri you can be confident you won't succumb to gay urges any time soon.
> The Most American Thickburger.
Pretty much self evident (pic related).
Since it's discontinued I will recommend the 1/2 pound thickburger if you're craving some dietary testosterone.
>americans confusing being fatasses with manliness
If it's not an animal you caught/killed/raised yourself, it's not manly

Stay bold, gentlemen
>Australia finally gets free 24 hr food channel
>First four shows I see
>Rachel Ray fucking up left and right constantly spilling and dropping shit
>Guy Fieri
>Man vs Food
>Andrew Zimmern
I've never seen these people before but is this what American cooking is? What the fuck?
And before you get all butthurt and take this as a slight, our food channels are all tiny kitchen shit or garbage le ebin cook off competitions le grouse aussie spirit outback fresh food.
Hello Cuntfriend.
What is Austrailia's native liquor? I would like to try it.
inb4 spider venom
>Guy Fieri
>I've never seen these people before
I see you're new to /ck/ and to /flavortown/
>>7084170
It's televised american cooking
Just like with the australian shows, they have to make it something people that aren't interested in cooking would want to watch
I'm out of ketchup
is that peanut butter on fried chicken?
>I'm out of ketchup
Are you implying that you were previously IN ketchup?
>>7084169
lololol fucking rekt
What does /ck/ think of Julia Childs?
>>7084145
She was hilarious, made cooking look deceptively easy and the world is now poorer without her
>>7084145
she was a racist and pre-muticulturalist with liver spots
>>7084145
goddess, albeit a funny looking one with a weird manner of speaking, but I love her.
Why do people eat raw meat?
>>7084137
Because some meats taste better uncooked.
>>7084137
Cuz is tastes gud
I like the center of my beef to be rare because it has a nice flavor and texture.
Tldr: im a young entrepreneur starting a shoe-gaze/indie rock themed restaurant in Dublin
What kind of foods should I have on the menu? Im thinking either themed by season or by bands/albums.

If you don't know what you're going to be serving when initially devising the plans for the establishment, you've already gone under.
>my bloody spaghetti, (spaghetti with tomato sauce)
>cheese and onions, (there is a galaxie 500 song called cheese and onions)
For experienced chefs or anyone who feels the same.
Just got out of high school this past summer, and I have two options for school: culinary school, or a technical college to learn any other trade. I really love cooking, but after doing some research being a chef doesn't seem to be the best job for someone who wants a family. Is it worth giving up a dream of cooking to raise a family or is it not that bad?
If you didn't know what the job was like, what did your "dream of cooking" consist of?
chefs and cooking professionals are criminally underpaid unless you are the top of the profession. its really sad considering the hard work and skill involved with good cooking.
so trade would definitely be the wiser choice if you intend to have a family.

Just cooking, I suppose. I enjoy making things for people and seeing them enjoy it. Cooking is also the only "art" form I'm decent at.
When I got takeout last Tuesday. Is this official policy or the chain near me Jewing me?
Oh, they're definitely jewing you. But that's their job and how they generate revenue.
>>7083902
I ask because if it's not official policy, I can complain to try to get them to not Jew me.

Right on the menu that some crazy special onTuesday/Thursdays doesn't include regular celery or ranch that is normally included. The price of those items are not listed however.
How is milk packaged in your country, /ck/?
Canada: it comes in bags.
Seriously, if you're going to shitpost at least come up with something more original and entertaining that hasn't been beat to death already.
>>7083889
I'm from the good parts of Canada and my milk comes in jugs and cartons.

Anything West of Manitoba is a shithole tbqh.
This is clearly a generalization, but it's something I've noticed:
Why do men seem to prefer more bitter tastes, while women prefer sweeter tastes? Do men like bitter stuff more because they think it makes them look tough, or is there just something different in our taste buds?
We require protein to develop muscles
Women require sugar for titties and ass. Evolutionarily speaking
>>7083602
Actually, I think I read something about that in my psychology book... will post back soon
>>7083607
sugar is for the brain though.
Good riddance.
At last, all the qt3.14s will have their chance to shine!

I liked his snark though.
>>7083461
You had Rachel Ray if you wanted to watch a qt cook. Now this show is going to tank after him leaving. Try watching an edit with Kimball's antics cut out. It will be boring like Martha's cooking shows.

I know this isn't really /ck/s style, but what are some examples of "Healthy meals"? Like anything to a degree seems "unhealthy". Is rice healthy? Are things like almonds great for you or too calorie dense to be any good? I hear so many differing opinions on everything but then at the end of the day everyone says "Getting fit man its all 90% diet just gotta eat right". But then everyone has definition for what is "right" and whats "wrong" so I just don't get it. I don't want to eat chicken salads for lunch and dinner every day of my life.
Its a retard question I know but I don't know where else to ask it.
>>7083372
Are you confusing a healthy meal, with a meal that will help you lose weight?
>>7083399
I suppose a little. I don't need to lose weight. Just want to eat "healthy" and don't know what even constitutes as "healthy" as a actual meal.
>>7083421
What is your goal? You said "getting fit", which implies you have some kind of objective for your body? What is that objective? What's your current situation and where are you trying to go with this and why?
An old guy in a camo vest gave me this outside a 7/11 about an hour ago. Had them in a cooler in his truck cab.
Tried selling me some at first, but just gave it to me for free since I don't carry cash.
Question is, since I don't know how he made it, how should I prepare it?
More pics
I really dont understand how so many people on this board find themselves accepting random foods from strangers.
Even more confusing is that you are ok with it and bring it home and post it on here with the intention of eating it
>>7083337
how many bucks did it cost?
