Which is healthier, low fat or full fat yogurt?

Does the same hold true for other dairy products?
42 posts and 3 images submitted.
>>
Who cares? Buy the good shit and don't eat so much.
>>
>>7427565
Dairy contains saturated fats, which are still needed by the body but harmful in large doses. It should make up less than 10% of your daily fat intake.

However, it still has the same healthy probiotics and more protein than greek yogurt (at least the Fage 2% brand does).

Really the only reason to use whole milk, cheese, or yogurt is purely for flavor instead of nutritional value. Greek yogurt is the healthiest dairy product you can consume.
>>
Don't worry about foods being healthy, look at the big picture and worry about your overall diet being healthy.

Most people need about 40-60g of fat per day. If you're eating less then go for full fat, if you're eating more go for non fat. It's all about having a balanced diet in moderation.

hey co/ck/s, I was raised vegetarian and haven't eaten meat once in my 22 years, and now I want to change that because of low energy, low weight, poor health, eating disorder, etc. How do I go about it without destroying my stomach or making me violently ill?

I don't even have the slightest knowledge of how to prepare meat, which meat is from what animal, etc. The closest I've been is eating fish, and I'm still not that good at cooking it properly.

You might be best off eating out a few times to get the idea of what is what first and how end result is when its done right. Kinda hard to know what the end result should be if you've never seen/eaten it.

If you have a weak stomach avoid "red" meats (beef), and go for poultry (chicken, turkey)
>>
>>7427500
If you're eating fish, I assume you also eat eggs and milk too? Just keep adding more of all of that to your diet. Eggs are easy and good breakfast. Get canned tuna and salmon to make tuna and salmon salad sandwiches. Salmon fillets are super easy and tasty for beginner fish cooking.

After fish, I'd suggest adding chicken.

>>7427514
sounds like a plan, my best friend eats meat so we could get dinner somewhere and he could help me figure out what meat I like. n-no homo

>>7427515
yeah, eggs sometimes milk never. Dairy is okay in moderation, but milk just fucking makes me feel sick

haha tuna and salmon are the two fish I can reliably prepare, with some occasional mahi mahi fishsticks or smth

I'm staying in my Japanese Grandma's house. I bought some nice a4 wagyu ribeye steaks for like 20$, but it turns out my grandmas stove automatically shuts off if it gets too hot (Because old people are forgetful and cause fires).

How do I sear a wagyu steak if I can't even cook it at a high temperature?
51 posts and 5 images submitted.
>>
>>7427414
Does her oven do the same thing? If not take an oven-safe pan, heat it to 450* F, and then sear the steaks on that. You can even finish them in the oven after.
>>
dude you fucked up on the planning
>>
Grill those steaks. They deserve to be licked first by charcoal fire.

How would you improve this burger, /ck/?

Note that that's hot sauce on it, not ketchup.

Add ketchup and a good mayo
>>
Looks dry and overcooked; vegetation is also pretty sad.

BBQ sauce under the cheese? Add caramelized onions and get rid of the hot sauce.
>>
>>7425831
all correct. juicier burger with a larger diameter would go a long way to making it better.

Hey /ck/ I've got a dillema.

I've been on a few dates with this guy and everything is going great, but now I've invited him over for a home cooked meal. The problem is he'll be meeting my kids for the first time.

So what's a nice meal to cook that's romantic and also kid friendly? I cook a mean spaghetti, but looking for something more adventurous to set the mood for later if you get my meaning.

The cum of the men who impregnated you, degenerate.

If you want a romantic meal you should get a babysitter. If you want to show him what life will be like as a cuck raising another mans kids just cook your usual slop.
>>
Chicken Parmigiana.

Its just chicken, cheese, and spaghetti so I'd hope your kids arent too picky for that.

Its my favorite meal to watch my man make.

Is Dairy Queen food any good? There are some around here and I hear conflicting opinions. Some folk hold it as high up as Whataburger and think it's great fast food. But many people say it's terrible and if I eat it I'll get exploding diarrhoea. What's good to get if I go later? Looks like they sell burgers, hot dogs, finger baskets, tacos, nachos, chicken, and desserts.

Chicken strip basket. The gravy is great. Have pretty good burgers as well.
>>
>>7424259
Like any place it depends on the people working there.
Last time I went the food was perfectly fine. Definitely closer to a Whataburger or Hardee's than a McDonald's or Jack in the Box. They are also incredibly fast, at leas the one near me.

Dairy Queen has bomb burgers

Haven't had it in probably like 8 years tho so I don't know if it's the same quality

Sup /ck/, my mom bought a brick of this stuff (English coastal cheddar) but she tasted it and hated it and asked me if I can cook anything with it. I've never had this stuff before, so I have no clue what to do with it. What can I make with this stuff? What is it good on/goes well with? Recipes are appreciated.
