Is Arizona tea a hack?

>Able to keep prices low on virtually all of their beverages no matter what size or store they are sold in
>Isn't great but much better than many teas that are bottled/canned
>Different flavors that don't taste like garbage sugarwater
>Bonus points: aesthetically pleasing packaging

What's going on? Is it just good marketing or the way they make it to where it barely costs them anything? Inb4 its urine

I just wish they didn't use corn syrup, I can't stand the taste
>>
>>7735371
Litterally what?
>>
>>7735371
It's literally just corn syrup, read the ingredients, dummy. The first ingredient is corn syrup, the second ingredient is high fructose corn syrup.

Corn is subsidized by the US government, it's basically free.

How do I make the best macaroni and cheese possible? Can't explain why I'm asking, but I need to make it great. Do I get pretentious and throw bread crumbs/bacon bits in there? Do I mix in some different types of cheese? Help me /ck/

>Salting a meat 12-24 hours before cooking it will dry out the meat
>Salting a meat 12-24 hours before cooking it will make it more juicy

Why cant people agree on this?

>>
>Salting a meat 12-24 hours before cooking it will dry out the meat
Who says this? People definitely make this claim when you salt something before cooking rather than after, but they're usually not talking about salting meat a day in advance. There are a lot of complex chemical reactions going on, there isn't a hard-and-fast rule that applies always regardless of time and context.

But I've never heard anyone say that salting meat the day before will dry it out. Usually people who advocate for seasoning after the meat is cooked are thinking of something totally different.

I have never encountered either of those things. But in any case a strung out, gaunt chef is a sure fire case something is wrong.

Any chef worth his salt is strung out and gaunt, you baboon.
>>
>>7738714
You're kind of retarded aren't you? I'm referring to drugs when I say strung out. You want a junkie making your meals because the manager couldn't find anyone else be my guest.

Bout to take a big ole bite of this classic Cajun style 'gyo 'za
62 posts and 11 images submitted.
>>
>>7738425
That is Creole, Cajuns have nothing to do with the cuisine. the recipes and flavors of Louisiana are based on the recipes made by Black and mixed race free or enslaved chefs, cooks, and hawkers who adopted French/Spanish/"German" dishes to the ingredients and tastes of the subtropics.

The only reason why it's called Cajun is because of CODOFIL, if you actually eat Arcadian food it's not alike at all.

You know why the British don't like tofu?

It's too flavorful

It isn't particularly diverse, since we're a small island. We do however have an amazing range of cheeses, and a disproportionate number of the best chefs in the world come from Britain.

You can have only one dipping sauce with your French fries for the rest of your life. What do you choose?
185 posts and 27 images submitted.
>>
>>7733126
None.
If your fries are good quality only salt is required.
>>
that horseradish sauce that's served with onion rings
>>
It'd be a coin toss between spicy mayonnaise and a mixture of 2/3 mayo to 1/3 mustard. Either one is godly with fries.

Same. When I was 18-20 I tried to keep a strict diet. People cared alot more about if you had a six pack or not at that time. Now Im 25 and I dont really care much.

Everyone has a "natural" weight they will maintain unless they go out of their way to change it.

Wine is made from grapes, but people talk about it having notes of all sorts of other things like fruits, berries, and spices. Why don't wine makers just add those flavored with extracts?

Because it wouldn't taste very nice.
Barrel ageing does wonders for wines and spirits.

How do you know? Have you ever tried it?

Controversial /ck/ opinions thread.

ITT we post sacrilege that the cookery world would poo-poo us for.

I'll start.

1. Taken as a whole, American cuisine is one of the best in the world.

This is something nobody wants to admit but America has some fantastic dishes to its name. Cajun food, American-style pizza, hamburgers, hotdogs, the Reuben sandwich, eggs benedict, etc.

The steak fingers were bomb af tho.
>>

one time when i was 12 i leaned over a pot and got bacon grease right in the eye

i was actually fine, it stung like a motherfucker for like a minute but

now as for the worst injury, my summer job when i was 17 was chopping up vegetables for this catering company, and one of my coworkers was this freshman in the same high school i was in

no one taught the poor kid how to hold a knife so he basically almost degloved himself the first day on the job

there's like a weird spiral scar around his left index finger, it moves alright and all but it is one of the first things you notice about him. he's pretty chill about it though

What would I be able to pick up at CVS, Walgreens, or my local liquor store that won't taste like booty?

Budget is ≤$20

Just pick something in your price range. If you like it, great, you can get it again sometime. If not, you know what not to buy.
>>
>>7730885
The first two are just going to have garbage

The last depends on your local liquor store
