I like to eat my biggest meal of the day just before bed so my body can consentrate on digestion.
Lets cook something, I don't know what, but it's something.

Green > Mayan >>> Red >>>>>>>>>> Black
The Mayan XXXtra hot stopped being stocked at my local Walmart, so I started using the green regularly. I special ordered 4 bottles of the mayan and picked them up today. I remembered the mayan being the best (probably due to the heat), but after retasting today green is the objectively superior hot sauce of the El Yucateco™ line and is also objectively the best hot sauce.
The black tastes like spicy smoke, please don't try and defend its low ranking in this thread.

Squirrel is in season here, what's your favorite recipes or hunting stories?
Do you need a cook-along?

Squirrel slow-cooked in a cast iron dutch over, with country gravy over mashed potatoes
My mom refuses to eat it (she's squeamish about eating rabbit too because of the "cute and fuzzy" factor), but my dad would go squirrel hunting and made it for us kids whenever he brought some back.
Is this a real thing or a meme? Do they taste good?

Don't be scared of the tree rats. I'd strongly recommend a good brine or other soak to remove any wild flavors along with using peanut oil to fry in a pressure cooker.
What best 2 sides go with steak?
Also beer or wine, what kind?
>>7722778
steamed broccoli and garlic mashed potatoes

Pretty much what you got there, but I prefer my potatoes roasted or baked.

Forgot to mention wine choice, I'd go with Cabernet.
Alright /ck/ give me your best new food idea that shouldn't exist.
My vote goes to aged fish sauce souffle

So I've got a bunch of friends over tonight and I want to make personalized burgers for everyone and I want to come up with clever name-puns for them. I'm making one with just cheese and pickle that I'm calling the "stop that, I'm pickle-ish burger"
Anyone got any suggestions for the next one being made with cheese, mayo and tomato?
I got nothing. Plz halp.

How do you feel about people wearing hats while dining?
https://youtu.be/Xv3SeUdRBZM?t=1m9s
It's absolutely rude, but I see people do it all the time. We have a generation that's in their 20's now that won't have the traditions and mannerisms that their parents had, though, and it's to be expected that there'll be arbitrary things like not wearing hats indoors or while eating, that'll fade into obscurity.
I'm fully ingrained in golf culture, so I wear a flatbill hat everywhere I go.
I think it's dumb to wear a hat inside in general
For me it's pretty much eggs in general, but scrambled seemed like they might be easier. Not as smelly as boiled or deviled eggs. No dice. The taste and the texture just do not work for me for whatever reason. I could barley get a bite down without gagging.
We already have one picky eater thread up, and the OP of that thread complained about eggs as well. Keep your picky eater cancer contained.
If your boiled eggs are smelly then you've overcooked them.
>>7722345
I'm not a picky eater, it's just eggs. Which is why I'm kind of peeved with myself. I try new stuff all the time, and I love a wide variety of foods, but I just can't get myself to like eggs.
>>7722355
Apparently my entire family has never once cooked boiled eggs right. Every time my mom made deviled eggs I'd have to stay on the other side of the house for hours because of the smell.
