We all have different tastes and preferences on food that we usually don't admit to. I.e eat out of the pot, refusal to reheat refrigerated leftover food or obsession over ranch dressing. (These are mine)
>>8488294
Why won't you reheat food?
For me it's that I really hate thawing meat in the fridge. It's not like I can't handle raw meat or anything, I just really hate dealing with frozen->raw pieces of meat.
>>8488325
Doesn't taste the same to me reheated on stove or microwave.
Also I feel you on the whole frozen meat thing.
>>8488294
When I am out of money I go to the store and take packs of ranch sauce and croutons and eat them like it's a sort of soup/salad without lettuce.
I like to put peanut butter and nutella on pepperoni pizza.
I use coca cola instead of milk in all of cereal (I only eat fruit loops, cheerios, frosted flakes and lucky charms).
I like to make nachos for breakfast but instead of ground beef I use leftover cut up mcnuggets and hot dogs.
Pinafore doesn't belong on pizza.
>>8496609
Thanks for pointing out the obvious
>>8496609
it is a meat tenderizer.
>>8496609
>Pinafore
I agree, that infernal nonsense doesn't belong on pizza
Why are green olives in jars and black olives in cans?
What are black olives anyways? they blow
Because cans are not transparent and therefore dark inside, the darkness rubs off on the olives and turn them black.
Jars on the other hand are made of gllass which is transparent and allows light to enter, making sure there is no darkness to taint the olives.
>>8496500
thank you mr scientist
black olives are just green olives which are oxidized with lye and other chemicals. I assume the light from store shelves would somehow discolor them
My halal romantic dinner!

Congratulations on making a dinner out of your backwards ideology you fucking waste of oxygen.

Romantic. For one. That is funny

what coffe:water ratio do you use for cold brew?
>>8474817
1gram of coffee to 7 grams of water for 12 hours with lukewarm water. Then refrigerate or add ice cubes.
I use a French press
I made coffee using my pour over dealy today.
It's alright but I'm still going to get a new moka pot soon.

Pussy, but not hooker pussy. That shit will give you mouth herpes...
>have a great high paying non-stressful salaried job
>feel kind of down lately
>start doing lots of stuff like cooking and working out
>haven't played vidya in years
>decide to buy lots of vidya to make myself better
>still feel empty inside
why
Pic sort of related: I don't feel so hot n spicy anymore
>>8495948
you've realized that your life is empty outside of your job, and even that doesn't really mean anything. You probably thought being an adult would feel different than how youve always felt, but it doesnt. Nothing you do means anything outside of those in immediate contact with you. Welcome to an existential crisis, you just have to busy yourself till you die now.
I dunno. Maybe you need a more fulfilling hobby? Something that requires more effort to reach a goal that you could then feel proud of?
Or maybe something that includes other people, like one of those meetup groups that goes hiking or biking or climbing or something?
Pic sort of related: Your life needs a superior more satisfying flavor.

Because modern vidya is shit and just makes you feel shit.
Either try older games or start doing bread-baking, fermenting vegetables, and making sausages, because it's scientifically impossible to feel bad while eating home-made sausage with home-made bread and home-made pickles.
Sausage links, bacon, two over medium eggs, hash browns
Cinnamon roll pancackes

Two biscuits topped with crumbled sausage, diced ham, gravy and cheddar cheese
Hash browns
One egg

So does your post have a point or something
>>8495631
This fucker is the owner of the most expensive steakhouse in Turkey
but I don't think his post has a point
>>8495621
Why does he look like a columbian drug lord if he is the owner of a steak house???
how do i into tuna steak?
>>8495575
I don't have much experience with tuna (other than canned shit), but if it's similar to how to cook a lot of whitefish (I'm sure it's not) then I'd recommend some dill, salt, and vinegar as a marinade, then grill.
I marinade in soy sauce briefly then sear until the inside is just turning pink. Its super easy so just season it however you like but keep it pretty rare.
Sear all sides and serve, like a blue rare steak that actually tastes good.
Look I made eggs and bacon today
>>8495555
>eggs way overcooked
2/10 would not eat
bacon looks decent though
>>8495555
>flat over cooked eggs
>bacon covered in grease
Next time you want to make scrambled eggs, you need to turn your heat down and constantly fold them over each other. Also, pat down your greasy bacon next time.
Bought this nice 8 lb pork belly from the asian market for $2.99/lb. Got my rub of kosher salt, brown sugar and 9 grams Cure #1 mixed and will rub it in. Place in freezer bag and cure in refrigerator for 2 weeks. Then I'll cold smoke for 10 hours.
I'll have high quality bacon for $3.00/lb when you can't even buy garbage bacon for 1/2 that price. Why don't we all cure our own meat? Is it because we're mindless sheep following the dictates of our corporate overlords or because we're lazy?
>>8495491
I live in eastern Ontario Canada, and I can buy packaged sliced bacon for $3.00/lb...
>>8495573
Really? How's the quality? Did you read the ingredient list? I'm certain it was a chemical brine injected and tumbled meat product. Life is short. No need to sacrifice quality in our food out of sheer laziness or fear.
Btw, canada produces a lot of high quality primal cut pork products. The leanest pork bellys I've found have been canadian.
>>8495573
Maybe welfare bacon that's like 95% fat. A regular 500g pack of bacon costs like $5-6.
Is there a guide on how to cook?
I just cooked for myself for the first time and just put some chicken breast on the stove and threw some onion powder and paprika on it. It was pretty tasty
>>8495415
Ask your parents, Google how to properly cook meats, read the instructions on the packages, and look up recipes.
Its the current best way to learn how to cook. Listen carefully because this is very important advice. Lots of people think cooking is all about complicated recipes, big cookbooks and arduous effort. Really it's more of an innate thing.
Learning to cook is much more simple, so pay close attention to what I'm going to say. Are you listening?
Fry an egg and experiment with various seasoning. This will give you an idea of what flavours go well together which is the most important quality in cooking. Fry an egg, cut it in quarter, season each quarter differently. Try one with cayenne and, I dunno, chives? Just experiment with lots of seasoning combinations.
Then fry another egg and repeat the process. Keep frying eggs and experimenting until you get a good idea of what works. You can eat 3-4 eggs in a day, heck you're from /fit/ so probably 6+. If you eat 6 eggs in a day, that's 24 egg quarters, 24 seasoning combinations in a day. You're talkng about 1000 seasoning combinations in just over a month.
At this stage you'll be a spicemaster and what/how you cook wont matter because you'll be better at seasoning than 99% of professional chefs, and this WILL make you a good cook.
