Why the f*ck is Aldi meat so bland and flavorless? Is it made exclusively from ground up assholes or what? Even Walmart has better shit.
>he buys cheap meat
>>8496068
>Aldi
where I live, it's literally the store for the niggers and homeless.
I've never consumed meat from either. I have only been inside a Walmart once in my life. It was on a road trip and I stepped inside to satisfy my morbid curiosity.
Generally I obtain my meat from a local farmer at the greenmarket. It's demeter certified biodynamic meat. Costly, if you consider CAFO meat to be the benchmark for prices, but I'm not a carnist like some of you guys. I only eat a few pounds of meat per month. For the flavor, of course. Not because I lack imagination and cannot conceive of a meal without a huge heap of third-rate cooked animal flesh.
Literally the best microwave popcorn out there.
Not the xxplosive butter variety, faggot
Does anyone remember the colored popcorn that this brand had out years ago?
Nothing like eating blue popcorn
>We are the pepsi.

you just destroyed my meme.
thanks son.
Why do these exist, and why are they so expensive? How do you even cook with them? They are so confusing.
They're not remotely expensive and they're good as fuck, I just like to steam them and serve them with a hollandaise. You drag the flesh from the leaves with your bottom teeth. Then when you get to the choke you just scarf the whole thing down at once
>>8495825
around here they're expensive and you're better off with frozen artichoke hearts
>>8495825
>when you get to the choke you just scarf the whole thing down at once
"no"
So how do I heat up a can or cans of refried beans to make them pourable over tortilla chips when making nachos? They always end up clumpy. What should I add to the can when heating them to make them loosen up?
Lard
>>8495807
I don't have any and really don't want to have to take a trip to the store.
Maybe some chicken stock to just loosen it up? This is a problem I've always had but never solved. Restaurants seem to do it easily.
They do it with a fat not chix broth. Use bacon fat if non in the fridge use vegetable oil and stir it up good
What does /ck/ think of him?
If you don't know, his name is Horst Luening, a German, and is a whiskey reviewer for whiskey.com
>>8495705
Likes American Whiskey too much.
Needs to do another collab with Ralfy.
Otherwise pretty cool desu.
>Hello, my name is Luening, Horst Luening, welcome to another whisky review on whisky.com, where fine spirits meet.
>>8495705 oh god why do I have to read about this guy even here...
I don't know about you guys, but this show is comfy as fuck. What do you guys think?
Rich housewife in flyover land endorsing kitchen gear for Williams Sonoma customers. Watched it when you guys memed it up a few years ago, wasn't too interesting.
>>8495566
I'd eat her pussy, if you know what I mean
Never seen the show but for a long time she's had a blog with some pretty legit recipes if you're into traditional Americana grandma food. I never would have thought cream cheese would be a good addition to mashed potatoes but holy shit it's awesome.
How do i mac n cheese? Not american
>>8495560
Do amerifattieclaps really eat this?
>>8495560
Make a bechamel sauce, melt your cheese into it, mix it into al dente pasta, mix in anything you want such as bacon or other meat, cooked onions or peppers, whatever you like, or nothing at all, dump it in a pan, you can grate cheese and/or put bread crumbs on top if you like, then bake until the top turns golden brown.
I pretty much only eat rames as hangover food . Way to make it a wholesome meal?
RAMES
Mushrooms, an egg, some sprouts should round it out. You know, like normal ramen. And a tall glass of water for the salt
>>8495464
Chill out, son... I know
My gf's Uncle went hunting yesterday and gave us a couple of wild hares. My gf is going to cook them up using an old family recipe. She says that one taste of her hare pie and I won't be able to stop eating it.
Anybody got the skinny on eating hare pie? What should I expect?
hopefully thicc juicy thighs and tender succulent meat

Fucking autist found an internet joke.
If it's anything like rabbit, it'll be very similar to chicken in terms of taste and texture.
How do I into beer?
>all ales and i.p.a's taste the same to me
>lagers and pilsners either taste bad or dont aste like anything
>stouts and porters taste like burnt toast to me
I just want to drink beer without being a pleb, what're good beers?
Avoid alcohol.
Location, Location, Location
Where are you living OP?
If you hold that opinion of every beer you've ever tried, then beer is not for you
We had a big work party last night. I'll share some photos with you of what we were served.
We begin with cheese.
This salad had a pre-applied amount of balsamic dressing. I could have used more, but I guess this is how preparing and portioning out food for tons of people works.

gross
Butter shaped into anything is a delight.
Made my own perogies from scratch yesterday, I guess rank them. Just used a simple potato and onion filling since it was my first pass

They look great considering it's your first try. Thank you for actually contributing both FOOD AND COOKING on this fucking board instead of tendies and McChicken threads. God I fucking hate man children so fucking much I want to kill myself after coming to this board for years.
What impresses you more when you go over to someone's house for a meal?
>expensive 'look at me' ingredients
or
>the innovative and unusual techniques they use to prepare cheap ingredients
your mom

>good cooking is meant to impress and not be enjoyed
You insecurity is showing.

Is it better to get a Mechanical or Electric kitchen scale? I've only used the electric kind but I'd like to hear your experiences
>>8494462
I use mechanical works good and doesn't require batteries
>>8494464
You can't take 30 seconds every four years to replace a battery?
I prefer the ease of tareing on electrical scales.
>>8494462
Electronic scales let you tare out your plate or bowl without doing any mental math. It also might take away some of the guess work, when you can tare over and over as you add ingredients, if you do that. You're not eyeballing a guage, just reading numbers.
