is there any thing i can add to my Jambalaya besides chicken ,sausage and shrimp
Okra and peas
>>8646300
The key to a good jambalaya is building up a fond when you brown your meats and deglazing it well before you add the rice.
mussels, bulgur instead of rice, spring onion, eggplant
I bought some quinoa on a whim from the bulk bin. I was planning on making it with some spinach and sauteed mushrooms and serving it as a side. I do something similar with rice, does this sound good? Never made the stuff before.
>>8646208
It's a bit like brown rice so that would probably work.
That sounds great anon! I personally love quinua cooked with tomato paste and diced onions and garlic. It makes a stewy, mushy side everyone will enjoy
>>8646208
Just make sure to rinse it before cooking. I did quinoa with garlic, bell pepper, onion and squash last week, cooked the quinoa in beef broth. Came out excellent.
Do you have any medical conditions that prevent you from eating certain foods?
I have taste buds so it prevents me from eating mustard.
I have autism so it prevents me from drinking soda.
I'm sane so it prevents me from eating blue cheese
Found these in the freezer, not sure how to cook them. Any suggestions?
>>8646186
Why would you marinate them? Do you hate the taste of meat?
>>8646186
put it inside a chicken bake
Don't marinate lamb.
Just sear two sides and put them in the oven.
Maybe make some mint sauce for when it's done.
Lamb doesn't really need to be marinated, but it probably lost a lot of flavor from being frozen. Be smart about your salt.
Why are normies so triggered by mayonnaise?
It's fat and delicious as fuck
its not vegan
>>8646086
Because it's rich and too complex of a flavor compared to their red#40 vinegar and hfcs goop
Dad's birthday party, so alot of racks of lamb.
Using a SV, plus a blowtorch for searing.

Curry powder/indian food general

I have no idea how that'll be. Just put a pinch and see if you like it.
First try half a teaspoon per serving of ramen. You can add more or less to your taste after that. Put it in the water along with the seasoning packets that come with the ramen.

Are those real outside of taco bell?
Im making a Doritos cake (using ground up Doritos as flour) with a Mountain Dew Frosting.
I just reduced the soda down to a syrup I intend to mix with cream cheese and powdered sugar to make a frosting.
As for the cake, i'm trying to figure that out now. How could i possibly make this taste edible? Should i add cinnamon and make it a spice cake to throw off the nacho cheese?
the person who requested this is a fucking sadist.
>>8645645
>not using flour
It's like you want to have a disgusting mess
Well doritos are made of corn, so a cornbread cake with taco seasoning and reduced sugar would be a good place to start. You want the cake part to be salty and savory so it is complimented nicely by the super sweet frosting .
You could also opt for a "cooler ranch" variety where you add some ranch dressing seasoning to the cake batter.
Cinnamon would throw everything off.

also don't do this. they are far too oily.
Why do Americans fry cheese? This looks disgusting.

Why does any country fry cheese? You do know it's not exclusively an American thing, right?
Hey guys, Im an American studying in London, tired of eating peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and want some simple recipes that even an idiot like me who has never cooked before can make. Preferably something British
toast sandwiches
baked potatoes
scrambled eggs
fry up
scotch broth
lentil soup
bake your own bread
goujons
that curry with a mae ploy paste
fuck anon you've got lots of options if you're too retarded to cook
Hey, anon. Would you like me to teach you?
When's the last time you sat down at an old, unfashionable diner or restaurant for a homestyle American meal?
I'm talking comfort foods like meatloaf, macaroni and cheese, open-faced turkey sandwiches, pot roast, etc.
A place like that near me just closed after 80 years. In my hometown, we lost a similar place after nearly 70 years. Is the old American food dead?
>>8645237
I eat breakfast at the same greasyspoon every morning before work. Read the paper, drink a few coffees, catch up on daily habbenings in town, etc etc etc...
>>8645243
I bet it's been a long time since you had *dinner* there, though.
That type of food is seen as unhealthy as well as bland as fuck. People tend to have better ways of making the classics at home anyways.
