What are the best careers following an economics bachelor's degree?
Pay is important, but arguably more important is avoiding the desire to want to kill yourself from boredom and unfulfillment, which most data jobs bring

You can do anything a finance major can do if you have good connections, and more.
>>1431498
Finance. Also depends on what you want to do. If you want to have a well paying job and arent 30, then finance is a good bet.
What Android apps does /biz/ use for planning and staying organized?
Self-bumping
I'm tired of being a disorganized mess.
Trello
>Look up credit card fraud news stories in my area
>Literally every 1-2 weeks some people get arrested for it
>Tons of them arrested with $100k+ worth of shit, probably sold the rest and shoved it into offshore accts and btc
What the fuck? When did this get so popular?
explain
>Firstly this is only anecdotal evidence that it's becoming ore common
>Improved data retention means it's easier for banks and credit card issuers to track and identify fraud even if incidence of fraud remains the same.
>Credit Card is most readily acquired form of credit and smaller volume therefore inherently more likely to be defrauded than larger loans
>>1431480
I've never known it was so common, and raking in so much money for the perpetrators of it
Can one make any money whatsoever as a translator on these online crowdsourced translation platforms? Or is it all a scam?
I have no idea where you would sell this level of skill, but there will always ALWAYS be a market for skillful, artful translation.
And the situations are endless and diverse, even from simple things like instructions for the lift in Hotels, to translating copy and slogans for advertising, to the copy on a website, to books -- technical and prose, closed-captions for films and television series. Man, I can go on and on... these are all situations where accurate, skillful translation will be payed a premium.
The problem is you need mastery of not one, but two languages.
Google if there are agencies for translators. Freelancer websites are after the cheapest job possible.
>>1431391
I know that I need mastery of several languages to participate. This isn't the issue.
I'm just afraid of it being yet another scam scheme. I'm tired of working on seemingly legitimate sites (like Amazon MTURK) only to have all of my work rejected without any due process.
Is Saudi Arabia still burning cash?
Yes
Gotta build all those skyscrapers with lavish interior design.
one can hope so
fuck them
>>1431236
Those are BS numbers. It costs less than $10 for Saudi Arabia to produce a barrel of oil.

eBay General: Pooloo Pajeet edition.
>Buy 2x items, $300 total.
>Seller has decent feedback.
>Seller immediately goes away for 2 weeks.
>Marks as shipped, no tracking.
>never ships item, 2 business day handling time pass.
>Ask them wtf m8.
>1 week later
>I WILL SHIP SATURDAY OVERNITE!11!1!
>Still nothing.
>Start PayPal INR.
>Seller immediately responds, entering blank as tracking number.
mfw
eBay should seriously do some better screening for new sellers, I mean keeping it open is one thing, but I am sick and fucking tired of being scammed by deadbeat kiddy faggots.
>Have item listed for weeks/months.
>Little to no interest, no offers or questions.
>Buyer 1 makes offer.
>Counter offer for $12.50.
>Buyer 2 in different country makes offer @ $12.00.
>Sell to buyer 2.
>All of this within 2 hours.
Can someone explain this bullshit to me?
>>1431468
Someone probably posted it on some forum or plebbit page & people started rushing to get it. Or some office buds are competing for something and found it.
So about Nxt and Ardortokens. Is the offer still up? Buy Nxt and get 1:1 worth of ArdorTokens by October?
Yes but to get 1:1 you wouldve had to hodl during the whole snapshot period. You now only get a %age based on the time you hodl divided by the full snapshot period.
>1:1

What does /biz/ think of Softbank (a Japanese company) buying ARM?
>>1431011
wut is ARM, in this situation?
>>1431013
http://www.wsj.com/articles/softbank-agrees-to-buy-arm-holdings-for-more-than-32-billion-1468808434
I'm starting to believe that Japan's so-called recession is just a ruse.
>>1431011
Softbank is paying a very dear price for ARM and is going to be in even heavier debt in order to acquire it. I would be amazed if there weren't layoffs at ARM to increase profitability.
Prices for ARM licenses might also go up as Softbank needs to pay down its debt. I'd keep an eye out for viable competitors to ARM that are currently small. They might be companies worth investing in.
Hey guys, I'm a high school senior, and I've been looking for any good pre medical schools. Any medfagshere? Where'd you go, and was it any good? I didn't know where to ask this so sorry.
>>1430963
>Wanting to join the medical field under the Obongo regime
ONLY if Trump is elected should you join medicine
>>1430963
You should avoid medicine unless you're really into it.
Specialists tend to have it slightly better.

What are some specialist jobs that pay well, and are worth the 6 years+ school.
I'm inclined to cardiology(non invasive) but I'm all ears for others

Is surrounding yourself with piles of cash something that rich people really do, or is this a colored-people thing?
Well he just filed for bankruptcy a few months ago, so I'm guessing it's something our melanin enhanced cohorts.

Thoughts on mutual funds?
advantage of mutual funds over ETFs is that you can buy/sell based on set daily cost rather than traditional stock market BS, also you can contribute smaller amounts and aren't forced to buy whole units, and typically are free to buy and sell if you hold for a certain time, dependent on broker
the downside is that mutual funds tend to have higher MER rates and ETFs cost money to buy/sell
if you can find a broker that does free ETF transactions you can load up your ETF if you are getting a constant source of income
ETF vs mutual fund essentially depends on your personal situation, but they are very similar and serve a very useful place in any portfolio, do your own research anon
Meh. Some are okay. Index funds are where you should be though.

So /biz/, did you pay attention in your econ classes?
Bought 10 oz last week and it feels good, man
>they can't print this shit
>bitches love gold now and for all of time
It might go down for years, but I see the stuff as long-term savings (10 years +)
The real neato thing about gold is not forfeiting it for capital gains when XAUUSD is in your favor, but waiting for its value to go up and then pledging it as collateral on profitable ventures
I have enough for an oz. Should I?
