what websites do you read regularly regarding /biz/ related topics?
>>1432386
>Bloomberg
>Financial Times
>The Economist
>Barron's
Also several European papers & bank websites.
When I'm too busy, I simply take a quick look at FT and try to read The Economist entirely on week-ends.
Financial Times, The Economist, Bloomberg and some Reuters, though mostly for normal news.
Also some other reading on foreign policy websites, mostly to gain a better understanding on a country's situation/leadership decisions.
A more interesting question would be: how do you deal with the over-abundance of information?
You've got to stop reading things sometimes. One could read newspapers and web articles for 8 hours straight and still find new, insightful walls of text to browse in the end.
MGT has just announced that they sold 2 million in unsecured promissory notes. They mature on sept 30, 2019.
What does it mean /biz/? Is this good or bad for the stock? I've been having a good time making ca$h money buying and selling MGT.

Is anyone good at haggling?
>Lease is up next month
>Trying to negotiate lower rent with my landlord
>pay $1000/month for my bedroom
>She's been looking for new tenants for the past month
>Yesterday I offered her $800/month plus I would do maintenance on the property.
>Lowers to $950 so I just tell her to think about it
>Sent me a text today saying I have to decide by tomorrow
She's also a huge cunt but moving is a pain in the ass.
I think I'm gonna wait till last minute and counter $900
>>1432305
Why would she accept lower rent?
Figure that out and explain it to her in a convincing manner.
>>1432305
Has housing prices lowered or gone up in the area? Pay accordingly. If up, 50 less is a steal as opposed to her trying to get more.
>>1432305
Dont just limit yourself to one property. Look at other properties as well. Her lowest may be $950, but X elsewhere may be willing to accept $900, $850, whatever. Expand your search. Then you can tell your current landlord "X has offered me X" or you can just leave her altogether.

>>1432279
You haven't fucked up, you have a marketing degree so go for marketing jobs or advertising jobs, employers for sales jobs love business degree's, you could get a low level accounting job if you learnt that on your degree, (here all business degrees do an accounting module), or a shitty as it may be you can get a low level managers job in a retail place.
>>1432279
You take an entry level job for 5 years, put in your time, and evaluate if you can advance further up the ladder or be comfortable at your current salary/job satisfaction.
At the end of the day, if you aren't making money for yourself, you better be showing other people you can make them money.

Is there any reason why I shouldn't start selling cheap Chinese watches like pic related on Ebay?
>>1432095
Nobody wants to buy cheap Chinese watches
>>1432095
Because some dude in china is selling them direct from the factory and can undercut you every step of the way
Try it, you may have some hurdles to overcome but man, It really can make a dime.
Don't forget a good customer Service tho.
Any miners here? Need some advice
Just recently bought a Sapphire RX 480 8GB for my rig and it's great, making about $50-60 a month from mining ETH. Currently have about $250 to spend on another card.
Should I buy another RX 480 or is there a better hash/$ option?
Heres my rig if that matters

If competition should ensure low prices, why are college debts skyrocketing?
because the government insures these loans, so anyone regardless of qualification can go to college and pay later.

I am European, so take for granted that I know little to nothing about these loans.
Assumed government subsidies are cut, how could children of less-than-rich parents still pay for college?

How bad is the bubble right now?
Interest rates have been low for too long (although the fed announces again and again thet they'll rise) and assets are pumped artificially through quantitative easing.
Negative interest rates through EU do shit.
Do you think that finally raising interest rates will pop the bubble?
>inb4 buy weapons/seeds/physical gold for the pop
>>1431999
>Do you think that finally raising interest rates will pop the bubble?
That would be an possibility, if (!) the interest rates would be raised. Which, in the current situation, would send Europe crashing down a deflationary spiral..
In other words, the interest rate will stay low for long enough.
>>1431999
i dont think the pop will be devastating like the one in 2008 , but be a series of gradual dips. or just slowing to stagnate plauteud market.
ofc, they have new, evolved ways of hiding their fraud since 08; so its not gonna look the same.
>>1432092
>i dont think the pop will be devastating like the one in 2008
How's that? 2008 housing was the foul apple in the basket, these days its stocks and bonds together with housing. Interest rates are so low that there's no more safety net, the fall can't be mitigated.
Just imagine a 'stagflation' where suddenly central banks stop artificially stimulating the markets.
looking for small jobs online and other ways to make money aside from serveys.. the only thing i can really come up with is trading. and that still really isnt much. im really trying to fatten up my paypal acc. any tips?

trading (if over a short time frame) is more likely to lose you money as a retail trader
over a longer timeframe it can be nice to take the occasional punt alongside your investments... but that is the sort of thing you're better off doing when you've already got decent investments and money to lose on those occasional punts
if you're looking for additional income it doesn't sound like you're really in that position and realistically you've got no business trading...
I only want money in order to reach my limit and die. Existence is a pain for me. Even the notion of breathing and being aware that I'm alive makes me miserable.

So lets say you won the lottery and the amount you get after taxes and shit were deducted from it was about $10 million.
Would it be a bad idea to buy some property to rent out, in addition to buying some property for yourself? Assume that you could get a decent 2 bedroom house for about 500k where you live, and the average amount of rent for a single room ranges from $400-$700 a month.

You americans and your obsession with taxes and tax evasion. Be happy you're not living in Soviet Russia.
>>1431658
For my money, if I had 10 mil cash why bother with the headache of residential landlording. Dealing with tenants sucks. Yeah, you can farm it out but then your already thin margins get thinner.
I would do it if I had to, but with 10 mil you could invest pretty passively/conservatively and be fucking set.
Bad idea

1) theres a ton of bullshit out there, don't believe everything, question everything.
2) if its on a giant website with thousands of viewers, their "guides" "seminars" and "programs" are probably useless, outdated shit that hasn't worked in years
3) intro to affiliate marketing / real internet marketing here: clickbaitmillionaire.com
yeah yeah, domain is fucking dumb, but it's free and you can just unsub from the dudes emails once you get the book
basically learn actual marketing and sell other peoples shit to make actual money online. SEO is a retarded long term fantasy land, and is only a tiny piece (and a negligable one) of online marketing, most dont seem to grasp this
