--FAQs for Robinhood--
Visit the website first - www.robinhood.com
If you're not into robinhood - http://www.stockbrokers.com/offers
> How is it free?
They invest your unsettled funds after a trade.
It's also pretty basic software.
> When is it coming to my country?
Probably never. They only have plans on an Australian beta ( https://robinhood.com/au/).
> It's been X days, why isn't my account isn't verified yet?
If it takes more than 3 days, try emailing their support. They are very good.
> Is this the right place to pump and dump and/or shill a worthless stock?
You have found the right image board ;)
> I hit sell when the stock was X.XX, but it actually sold at a lower price, am I being jewed?
No, that would actually be illegal. Robinhood graphs are just shit and only show you an average, not-really-realtime price. To get Bid/Ask prices and important things like candlestick graphs, you should use a more robust platform.
> Where can I get better charting or bid/ask?
thinkorswim is bretty gud if you want to go open a second account with real broker.
Otherwise you should be using Yahoo/Google finance or even Stocktwits for your graphing in addition to Robinhood.
>How do I git gud?
http://www.investopedia.com/terms/c/candlestick.asp?layout=infini&v=5F&orig=1&adtest=5F

> If I have Robinhood do I need to worry about 'Free riding' violations?
No, its not applicable for limited margin accounts (instant), and if you don't have instant, RH won't let you buy with unsettled funds
> Can I use Robinhood on my PC?
Yes, download an android emulator. Setup is extremely easy. http://www.memuplay.com/

How much does it cost to start a brokered online account? I like RH but I would like tools to search sectors and do better research. I figure I can start an account with them, stick the money in bluechip growth and use their tools to make my RH trading more profitable.

CDOs are private and quasi-private issuances. What makes you think people are going to let you peek into their non-public contracts?

Maybe after all the stress tests and everything, some things might have been released to the public already.

Also there have been studies about CDOs, where do those guys get all their information?

Hey /biz/, seeking sound advice here.

I'm 21 and I'd like to invest some of my worth.

I have 18k in two different saving accounts and 4k in two different checking accounts. One each for two different banks. In one of those banks, I'm also investing in this fund, with 1k as of now, adding 250 every month.

http://www.morningstar.co.uk/uk/funds/snapshot/snapshot.aspx?id=F0GBR04AHT

My salary is 3600$ per month of which I spend around 1700$ usually.

Now, what should I do? It feels like I should invest some more. If yes, how much should I keep in savings and should I simply put more in that fund?

I though about investing 100$ in BTC to see how that goes.

John Rockefeller, one of the wealthiest men in the world, gave much of his money to the church, and other good causes.
Religion was a guiding force throughout his life, and Rockefeller believed it to be the source of his success.

He truly believed in the biblical principle found in Luke 6:38
38 Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.”

So I ask you /biz/ do/would you let God guide you in your wealthy endeavors?

Let's say you make a child with one girl and then you impregnate another. And who knows if not another.

The first one already takes around 30% of your monthly sallary for child support.

What happens if you impregnate the other 2? Do you need to pay fucking 90% of your money to child support? Or is there some treshold for that? For example maximum child support money could only be like 50% of your monthly sallary?

It doesn't matter when the government itself has been printing trillions.
>>
>>1426662
Those dollars aren't actually printed, they're digital currency, and they're used to incentivize financial institutions into lending so as to stimulate the economy. The money doesn't actually get released into circulation. Finish high school before you post here.

It's funny cause north Korea printed trillions of dollars over the course of a decade or more. The only thing that got the ss on them was due to misprinted "n". The Koreans had apparently bought the same printer and ink the us used. Even the cartel has been counterfeiting money for decades. This fiat currency is top kek.

I'm surprised there's rarely any discussions about stock options on /biz/. Seems like the kind of high risk/high reward investment thrill people on /biz/ love.

It's not too difficult to get a solid ROI on an option every now and then compared to waiting for some random crypto being shilled on this board to go to the moon.

I don't invest in options religiously, but fairly consistently. Today I netted a 50% ROI (after commissions too) on a option with a 95 call that I made when it was as close as 92. If I had just normally bought shares in the stock and went long, I would've only had a 3% ROI.

When TrumpCoin was established, a substantial fund was set aside to support the election of Donald J. Trump for President of the United States. By using TrumpCoin, you're helping support the value of the Trump Fund so we can make a Trump sized impact this November and beyond.

TrumpCoin is a cryptocurrency that trades on numerous exchanges online. The price of TrumpCoin is dictated by the supply and
demand of traders on these exchanges, much like a stock market. What this means is that the higher the value of a TrumpCoin
becomes, the higher the dollar value of the Trump Fund becomes.

tipbot is great, but youre gonna go broke tipping that amount - might want to lower it so you can tip a fuck ton of people and spread awareness.

Also, some of the links inside the PM area like "help" dont lead anywhere.

They should take the user to a more detailed instruction on how to redeem/download wallet. etc

other than that, really tip top.

I turned $1,000 into just a little over $23,000 playing online roulette with a simple strategy playing dozens (2 to 1 payout). It took me 9 days, playing a few hours each day. I have kept track of every single spin and loss/gain on each one. Over 7000 spins as of now of which I won about 32%. I would say my play involves 80-90% strategy and the rest is gut-feeling. My goal is to use the data on my game-play and analyse it such that I can come up with a strategy that is 100% actual strategy and remove all gut-feeling and speculation/gambling and that improves my odds of winning in the long-term. How would I go about doing that? I was thinking about contacting mathematicians/statisticians.
175 posts and 17 images submitted.
>>
You can't win long term. Variance explains your experience.

Also: proof is required.
>>
>>1425311
That's what I keep hearing, that one can't win long-term. Maybe that's true.

Care to explain what "variance" means exactly?

My gameplay involves a modified Martingale strategy playing dozens. My biggest loosing streak was 19 spins in a row on which I should have lost about $17,000 but I only lost about $40 because I used the data I collected up to that point to "predict" a loosing streak and I kept my bets at a bare minimum. It was also party due to gut feeling but my goal is to remove that and make my strategy 100% strategy removing all emotion and whatnot.
>>
>>1425308
What you did was gambled and won. Congrats, you got lucky and you should quit now while you are ahead.

Learn a little about statistics and the statistics of roulette and you will realize that you just got lucky. Or continue gambling with your "system" until you lose all your money and continue chasing your losses until you are broke.
