Soros crashed Eastern Bloc economies to make a cheap buck and has been trying to do the same thing by paying for revolutions all over the world (including the BLM, Not My Country, etc. riots in the US!). He's about as bad as it gets.

I am no economical expert, just want to hear /biz/'s opinion after doing some research and coming to my layman conclusion below.
So is a recession not going to happen very soon?
The fed has kept rates way too low for way too long, the second they increase them in any significant way won't the market all fucking crash? Nobody even saves money too.
Are the two options for the federal reserve:
1. Keep low rates for longer, suffer more inflation and make inevitable recession worse 2. Raise them and let the recession come while the market stabilizes to where it belongs.
Again, not claiming to be an expert. Just want some other insight from /biz/.
If you believe an upcoming recession is coming, feel free to guess the magnitude and roughly when it will start.

I dont think that it necessarily has to be that dramatic. The fed is only going to raise rates by a quater point or so, and the sell off would indicate theres a better spot to park your money. I think we will see it come off the high's, but not an all out crash that some posters are calling for.

Is the economy such shit that they can't keep interest rates at normal levels like we had before without impaling the entire economy?
So they lied for at minimum a year about raising rates and then raise them only a quarter of a percent? They sound scared as fuck.
I don't see how a quarter of a point in interest will do anything to the serious inflation that is already here and going to get worse.
To me it seems like there HAS to be a bubble in the economy (and USD?). One way bigger than before. I hope i'm wrong but if i'm not I'd rather have it now than later.
Or are we going to keep doubling our deficit every 8 years until Chinese stop buying our bullshit lies.

So I have a prototype of a product I would like to sell. Some minor consumer electronics. I'm coming to the point where I need to gather start up money but before I even think about how I think I need to know: what I need to spend money on, how much money I need to spend, and to whom to I pay this money?
To itemize the product itself:
I have a small pcb with a USB connection
A couple plastic parts
Silicone over molding on those parts
Some custom electronic sensors
Then whatever packaging it's going to be in.
Who should I contact to get quotes on designs and production costs? It's my understanding that plastic parts manufacturers require you to use molds that designed. Meaning you have to hire one of their engineers to design and make your mole, if not the whole part. What do I need to come at them with to get a quote? A whole part designed in CAD, just a napkin drawing, a verbal description?
My pcb also I had intended to fully design myself but even the very simple function it needs turned out to be too difficult for a layman to do. So I might need to hire an engineer for it. Where should I go? What do I get? Do I just get a design document that I then hand to some pcb manufacturer and say "gimme dis"?
The obvious answer is to just call these people and ask "hey what do I need to get a quote on X" and it is my irrational hang up of not wanting to sound like a moron that's stopping me.

Can someone explain how net worths are calculated. Let's take Bill for an example, from what I understand most of his net worth is just shares in Microsoft, so if for some reason Microsoft were to go bankrupt would he suddenly go from the world's wealthiest to just another millionaire? His house and cars and everything probably make up 200 million at best and how do they know how much he has in the bank? How much of Microsoft does he own?
Is it the same for all the other billionaires in the tech industry like Larry Page and Elon musk too?

No, that would actually be illegal. Robinhood graphs are just shit and only show you an average, not-really-realtime price. To get Bid/Ask prices and important things like candlestick graphs, you should use a more robust platform. -- (also learn difference between LIMIT and MARKET orders!!!)

What in the everloving fuck is going to happen to the economy when universities finally start churning these people out into the real world? I don't really care about who won the presidency, government policy rarely makes or breaks the economy, the economy functions because millions and millions of ordinary people get up every day and go to work. We'll survive President Trump, but I don't know if we can survive this current generation of college graduates. These people are in their 20's and are still literally children, it is goddamn frightening.

The stock is down to 48 USD from a high of around 80ish USD back in 2014's oil prices. The particular call i purchased is a January 20th call, at a strike of 60. Trump is sworn in on the day of expiry. I purchased it at 5 cents per share. So I can buy 100k shares at 60 dollars a share).
