>The vast majority of businesses fail.
>Obviously, everyone tries their best to make their's work.
How is starting a business any different from gambling then?
>>1616775
people with more failures behind them do better at succeeding.
people with some successes behind them do MUCH better at succeeding.
with gambling, past performance doesn't affect success rates.
>>1616775
It doesn't matter how smart or motivated you are, unless you're cheating you can't change or predict the outcome of a roulette wheel reliably.
In business you are in control of your skills and those skills can change the outcome reliably.
If you're not that smart, don't know much about restaurants, and aren't rich, then yes opening a restaurant would be a gamble.
Hate my job and working for faggot bitch bosses. Got prescribed to adderall by a psych so I could push my marketing/design company to be my main source of income. He told me to take it every morning at 8am, I mostly take it at 12 pm so I will still be livid when I get home, by the time I get home I'm still worked out and lose focus because of wife and being burned out from work.
Should I start taking the pill when I get home from work so that I get a better burst/focus when I get home and so that my wife doesn't get on my fucking nerves?
>>1616639
>Got prescribed to adderall by a psych
You do know the long-term effects of adderall right?
>>1616639
>I'm on adderall
>I'm angry and frustrated
Wow what a surprise. Enjoy your paranoia when that sets in too, genius.
>>1616645

I am a 23 year old at a bit of a loss. I have been told I have the right mind for business, and the managers I have worked for (games store, electronics store, hotel, bar) have all confirmed this.
The question is, what do I do with this information? Do I get a degree? Do I work the corporate ladder? Do I learn to trade stocks?
I know this field is the one I want to delve in to. I just don't know where to start.
So what's your skillset?
>>1616092
I have virtually none.
I reach and exceed sales targets when they are given to me, and I have managed small teams before, as well as merchandising quite a bit.
>>1616096
Sounds more like you can't do anything at all. No offense though
What have you sold so far?
What is the best way to market to young men with crippling insecurities ?
Buy a mirror and you'll find out.

Does anyone on /biz/ have any job interview horror stories?
Can be from a prospective employee or employer perspective.
>>1615878
>working at a popular pizza chain
>assistant manager
>interviewing tweaker girl
>offers me bj if I hire her
>hire her, decline the herpes
>she makes clumsy attempts at seduction
>ignore
>week later she's stealing
>fire her
>she sues me claiming I asked for sexual favors in exchange for employment
>judge tosses the suit after looking at her record
>she invites me out to 'party' with her friends
>after I fired her
>have a bad feeling, decline
>couple weeks later her and her friends are arrested for brutally murdering someone
>goes to prison
>in prison still, 20 years later
>glad I never took that bj

Hello /biz/,
So California just decriminalized Marijuana. In 2018 they will start allowing licensses to sell, transport, grow and consume (in businesses) marijuana. In theory I have a little over a year to attempt to join the green rush. What do you think would be a good idea for the green rush?

Export to states that weed is not yet legal.
Don't be an idiot and profit.
>>1615811
I'm certain people are already do that with Colorado.
Learn how to make tasty foods with weed then serve them in a restaurant like setting. You could also have isolation tanks

I have some sort of Pepsi stock account thing that fluctuates with the market, like at any given point it will have a certain amount based on how the company is doing. I'm not sure what it's called but my grandfather set it up for me way back and there's a decent amount of money in there. Should I be figuring out how to cash that in right now, or should I ride it out? My parents are currently in control of it, I'm in college. What should I tell them to do with it? Will things normalize? She just badmouthed the future President. Stupid bitch jeopardizing my finances. Gib advice pls
>>1615776
call them and tell them
>>1615781
What should I do about the stock though? Should we sell it now before it tanks completely?
>>1615784
i actually dont even know, how long have you had the stock what price did you buy it at, ill bump you for someone with expertise to walk in.

Buy financials and industrials.
A Sports and leisure studies degree with a bachelors make like 25k a year. But a PE teacher for a school makes about 33 with amazing benefits. Why would anyone pick the Sports/leisure and tourism degree over an education major?
Why pick any of them when you can make $300k a year starting with a math major?
>>1615876
>$300K
>Math Major

What industry is Craigslist and Offerup in? What is that industry's current size and historic growth rate? What is that industry's projected growth rate?
PLEASE HELP
>>1615652
It is a automobile manufacturer
>>1615652
Craigslist is a sales directory. The only make money by charging landlords and employers in certain markets to post ads for apartments or jobs

I've had 63 jobs and I'm 28 year old. I'm making a new resume tonight. Grocery stores, coffee shops, stores are where I'll be focusing my efforts.
(live across the street from a mall and a block away from another mall)
I currently work casually as a sport's coach for kids so I'm going to use that. (unless you guys have good reasons for why something else is more effective)
What else should I use ? here are my choices
>roofing laborer
>concrete laborer
>framing laborer
>middle school tutor
>tard tutor
>deli clerk
fuck there's too many to list but those are the main categories. I know how to write a resume but not what things to choose to write about to get a customer service job.
>also im a fit white male with shaved head so prob seem like a neocon white supremacist
fortunately I live in canada and am a cheerful non autist but I still think that last thing is kind of a problem cuz i've failed a lot of interviews lately.
>>1615615
Lmfao jesus dude, 63 jobs? Just pick the relevant ones and list them for the job you're applying to.
If you're applying to barista, then list only the coffee shop jobs.
>>1615615
Definitely the tard tutor.
>>1615615
Why do you have so many jobs?
