Anyone join the military as an officer after college ? What field /branch were you and did it help you with business ventures after you served? I'm looking for something that will translate to a job after I do my 4-6 years. Possibly a trade job or something that will get me management in a corporation.
My friend is an army engineer officer and he tells me it's all just managing people and not much actual hands on learning.

Hey guys I am trying to fuck over my "partner" / boss... I have been working for his trade magazine for more than 4 years. Well... in the last year he stopped doing any work and told me I could just keep any money I made from advertising. It's not so much, only 6k this year. But that's all a direct result from my own work, he did nothing in 2016.
It's become obvious that he wants to try to SELL THE BUSINESS to our competitors. Which is crazy because I have put so much work into these past years and he does nothing!
So I want to take over the project before he can sell it. I don't think he has copyrighted anything, but he did have a corporation set up at some point (not a LLC a cooperation, I thought that was weird?) but maybe he has let that fall apart idk... i doubt he has any other trademarks etc.
What I have done so far:

>started publishing all new content on my site
>downloaded all emails, from all accounts on the server to my HDD
>copied all mailing lists to my HDD
>changed the passwords on all the social media accounts
What I want to do next...

>change social media username to my brand
>inform all our partners that we are going a new direction
What do you think? Can he sue me because of this? We never has any contracts or agreements. Just some emails which outlined my fees and commissions. I'm not sure he even gives a fuck about this project anymore, but I am spending 4 hours a week on it.

It's chill so far. My lifestyle is cheap (bout 2k a month) meanig I spend 30k tops a year.
Just on that I'm set to be a lazy shitposting NEET for a decade.
But them I'm an avid investor which has made for quite the week for me. Instead of strait up betting on Trump/Hillary I placed 20k in both Us Steel (Trump) and Smith and Wesson (Hillary). Well Trump won and while I'm down about two grand on guns I'm up NINE THOUSAND on steel alone!
Add that to the general market bounce and I'm up 14K since September. It's somewhat aggressive but my goal is to always keep my income above 300-320k meaning I need to clear a 10% return a year.
Someone once mentoned here that the least fair thing in the world is that when you're poor you work and work and work just to stay alive, but the all you need to do is get a pile of money ONCE, and if you handle that money correctly, it will miltiply itself while you sleep and smoke pot all day.

Is Kickstarter free money?
If you look at the types of projects being funded on Kickstarter, you see that most of them are shitty products that look cool. Literally scamming retards into funding your memes.
So if you can "trick" people into funding you, all you have to do is give out the rewards you promised. So if you promise to reward different levels of funding with a higher number of the product, then you just give them a shitty prototype, they can't do anything.
Why isn't everyone doing this?

So I graduated with an Engineering degree, but the actual Engineering-process wasn't done until Senior year by which point it was too late to change plans. I quickly realized I think I hate Engineering, in that as a team-effort it's an absolute shitshow. I just do really well at school, and even passed my FE exam.
Mentor / industry professional confirmed all my worst experiences are true in the professional world as well. You will always need another couple weeks, but this is negotiated down from needing months. Office politics are not just a funny meme, they are a perpetual war. Your boss WILL have an MBA with no actual work experience for what he's trying to dictate in the same manner that a middle-aged housewife/mother will try to lecture a doctor on nutrition via tabloids knowledge. Your coworkers who can't contribute will resort to micromanaging others to give the illusion of team value and just bog down actual work. Your actual project manager who should be the only one trying to micromanage others will either be bad at managing people or bad at the actual work he's trying to manage. There's going to be a diversity hire who would have been fired if they weren't a diversity hire. Spending more time stuck in meetings listening to information not remotely relevant to you than actually getting work done isn't just a funny joke, it's a reality. A dipshit manager will send down an order that everybody below knows is bad, and when it is a disaster it's your ass on the line even if you kept a CYA papertrail for exactly this reason.
Etc.
The only thing Senior year taught me, apart from how to be an Engineer, is that getting paid to scrub toilets is more rewarding.
The punchline being: so I joined the military instead. Hue hue. Paid to scrub toilets.
But I don't plan on joining the military any time soon.
What can I do with an Engineering degree that isn't a bad Office Space parody?
Career fairs have been pretty bleak in this outlook.

The job market is also a shitshow, as it's become for a lot of sectors. The prior-experience inflation has gotten ridiculous. There are no internships or entry-level jobs that don't require several years-prior experience within impossible tolerances, which as most people working know or found out is just something that you apply to anyway because HR is just looking for purple-squirrels who will work for peanuts or actually just playing for an H1B.
The real problem of this is that I was told it will take upwards of a year or more to actually get into the industry. Only ~1/3 or ~1/4 of my classmates managed to get industry-relevant internships or entry level jobs within two years of spamming applications since Junior year. A lot of them got cold-called back around A FUCKING YEAR AFTER they applied. Apparently most places will intern people for months before deciding they aren't a good "fit"... for half a dozen people working down a list until they settle, or just perpetually cycle interns because that's cheaper in documented costs and bean counters don't have to deal with the hidden problems.
Outsourcing hiring is becoming the standard too, apparently. It's likely I'll have garnished wages by a recruiting firm for half a decade before I'm actually directly working for anybody.
Dunno. All getting a "real degree" made me realize is that I should have gone to a trade school.

No, that would actually be illegal. Robinhood graphs are just shit and only show you an average, not-really-realtime price. To get Bid/Ask prices and important things like candlestick graphs, you should use a more robust platform. -- (also learn difference between LIMIT and MARKET orders!!!)

I am 30 years old with very few marketable skills. I am being medically released from the military for autism (Which I am playing up because I hate the Royal Canadian Unarmed Goof Troop)
I am seriously considering paying 20k to go to an 8 week course to become a Butler...As I see it the pros of this career are low living expenses, lots of luxury goods, possible inside trading benefits if you are savvy and the potential to advance in the field and make 150k a year. The cons are literally being some rich cunts bitch, little vacation time, and having to keep your mouth shut on what weird degenerates you are working for.
Does anyone here have any experience or anecdotes about high end domestic servants?
