How do you feel about pic related? Do you ever turn it off for certain sites?
>>1744240
Websites I make money on that require I turn it off.
Absolutely not.
Virtually no site now puts ads that are not intrusive or glorified malware.
Any site that relies on obnoxious advertising to sustain itself will get no sympathy from me.
Some of these sites used to try to make you watch two to three minute ads if you didn't use an ad blocker.
>>1744242
I have never taken my uBlock off for any site. What makes yours so special?
Hey /biz/, first year college faggot here.
What business degree should I get?
I'm looking at a four year accounting degree. I just want to make as much cash as I can in life.
I have no money so debt is spooky.
Accounting, MIS, finance, or supply chain.
Pick 1. The rest are memes. I really enjoy accounting

What's it like for you? I just have no perspective on any of it, trying to find an internship.
>>1744167
An internship in what? It sounds like you haven't even picked a major. Most people don't even do those until the end of their sophomore year in the summer
/biz/, in a paragraph or less, what was the key to getting your business off the ground?
money
Having a good business
Are you successful?
>>1744001
I'm on /biz/, so no.
What is success?
>>1744109
Having a million dollars in assets or cash. So, I guess I am a failure :(
best place to buy a decent suit for job interviews? (i'm 6'4)
also what is the best place to buy cheap work wear for someone that just graduated and is looking for a job?
Get an off rack suit from from JCPenny and have it tailored.
>>1743935
Suitsupply
>>1743935
>(i'm 6'4)
Mentions 6'4 as though its a great height
I'm also 6'4, my height does not affect buying of suits, no need to mention your height
I am selling my subreddit /r/TimAndEric - 24, 000 subscribers - for $20 - anyone interested, reply. It's all yours.
>>1743925
Here's some proof. If you want more just ask.
>>1743925
>TimAndEric
The fuck is it about? Who is Tim and Eric?
I can literally make this myself in 2 minutes. What in earth makes you think anyone would pay $20 for this?
I have room for 12 hours worth (4 classes) of elective space still left, and my major has made it impossible to minor in anything else, (Which is fine for a STEM degree)
Problem is, I don't want to waste these electives with simple GPA boosters no matter how tempting that is, any suggestions on useful skills that can be gained from certain classes?
>inb4 college is a meme
Compromise, do 2 easy/fun GPA boosters, and find 2 that will introduce/give you some skills, maybe a programming class.
>>1744166
Make one of the throwaway classes lesbian feminist interpretive dance or something like that so you can screw a load of dumb leftist womyn looking for a strong male feminist ally
>>1744173
Yeah this guy probably didn't attend Uni and has probably never seen pussy outside of the internet, ignore that dumb shit.
OP, take some philosophy, logic/reasoning, psychology, or something along those lines. You'll learn more in the introductory courses of those classes than you ever would taking easy as shit GPA boosters or "screwing a load of dumb leftist womyn looking for a strong male feminist ally"
Are you ready for the market crash?

The time is now
Market Redpills:
+99.9/100 times the market has priced a security correctly based on available information.
+You will never find a wrongly priced large cap stock. There are a million buy and sell side analysts who are better resourced and smarter than you. You're just gambling.
+You will never make a risk adjusted alpha off of option spread trading. Your shitty little spreads with a couple regressions will never compete with the Physics PhDs.
+You will never make risk adjusted returns off of arbitrage opportunities in options markets/merger scenarios/different stock classes. The machines will beat you or you will disregard probability and get lucky 1/100 times and lose your shirt the other 99.
+You will never make money scalping the news. The robots will beat you.
+Market making will always be more profitable than directional trading.
+If you have less than 100mm AUM you won't make a dime in distressed debt.
+Retail ForEx trading is a scam.
>>1743799
> you will never get alpha off of options
> you will never beat directional trading
well its gotta be one of those dumbass

Both of these are demonstrably false. Example: any bubble basically ever. Analysts and other smart people suffer from cognitive biases just like the rest of us.
Efficient Market Hypothesis has also been so thoroughly debunked that I can't believe that people even bother with it anymore.

LT GXY holders say hi.
Is there a good forum online that deals with investing and stock market?
>>1743742
Yes.
>>1743747
I heard that place is a real shit hole, theres no way I'd ever go there
I enjoy learning about different ways to jew people over, and I have taken a couple paralegal courses in the past. I got an A+ on the wrote memorization parts, but B- to C+ on the writing parts.
I am not the best writer/reader but I love the freaking subjects (not the bullshit criminal shit).
In California you don't have to go to law school, but nearly 100% of lawyers do.
Is their a practical real way to find out if I have what it takes in the brain department to become a lawyer?
How expensive are the cheapest law schools in the country, and what are their pass rates?
Or is being a lawyer (with no intention of working for a firm) just an expensive, hard, and not all that great?
>>1743670
There's no such thing as a cheap law school.
And don't bother going to law school unless you go to a top one.
>>1743673
I just want to be a cheap lawyer...
So I can sue my neighbors, class action lawsuits, and write all the trusts for my family.
>>1743700
Go look at the job reports for lawyers. It's an oversaturated degree. Sorry you're about 20 years too late for the law train.

How do I get a semi-professional healthcare job without 8 years in med school?
Are there, say, year long courses for hospital assistant jobs, or pharmaceutical industry stuff?
It seems like a good field to be involved in. Always in demand, fairly mobile, high pay, and high prestige, unless you're a male nurse.
>>1743463
>and high prestige, unless you're a male nurse.
You know nurses don't just take your blood right?
You could be a nurse who's a Surgeon's assistant.
Im planning on becoming a Physicians Assistant. Only needs Master's Degree and has median salary of about $98,000
>>1743470
I'm sure they do serious work, it's just that the job title is feminine by default in English, and people joke about it. Since I am incredibly capricious and superficial, I am ruling out nursing as a possible career choice.
I have taken the Amazon pill. I buy everything there. The Prime membership is a fantastic deal for a shameless consumerist. I know that every time I spend money there, Bezos gets closer to his vision of world domination, but I don't care. These prices are so good.
I actually like the feeling of putting mom and pop stores out of business. This is the future. Embrace it. Drone delivery soon. Thank you, Jeff.
>>1743423

Should I buy USD?
Because it looks like US' economy is gonna wreck Canada's even more now that Trump is elected, and we seem to be losing ground...
