Yes food for sure, but since your target market is so limited (depending on how big your town is, of course, but still limited) I would provide as wide an array of services as you possibly can.
Something like a combination of Amazon + JustEat + eBay only for people living in your town.

Well if your plan is to stick to your town how can you scale? In my opinion only way your app can actually become big in the long term is precisely to cover how many areas as possible, and make it the go-to app for all kinds of online purchases. But perhaps there's another angle I'm not thinking about

Don't know how it works in US but in Sweden you earn 2 days vacation for every month worked. If they're not used by the worker the employer must pay it in cash

Invest in dividend funds. You'll need some decent capital to start off with. And personally I reinvest all divided returns so you won't actually see it until you decide to sell your positions or harvest the dividends

write ebooks. I've got around £10 a month my best selling ebook. If I improved the quality, chose a better niche and marketed more I can easily see getting a much better return

rental property - though buy to let has been shafted recently so I wouldn't do it. I have however invested in property crowdfunding, I've put £2,600 into a property which is expected to get £10 return for the 3 year term, and then a nice profit when it's finally sold off at the end of the term.
