Bitcoin had another dip today, and once again it was an overreaction to a PBoC oversight announcement, see pic.
Reminder that the Chinese exchanges were heavily inflating their volumes, and that the PBoC is doing great work calling them out on it.
Things are looking very good.
Ways in which the Chinese exchanges were inflating their volumes:
1) zero fees
2) volume incentives (transferring your own bitcoins back and forth to create empty volume was rewarded)
3) crazy leverages
Because of this, well over 95% of volume was Chinese, despite only a third of all bitcoins being in Chinese hands according to Chinese estimates.
This bs is now ending, thanks to PBoC.
Also note that these PBoC panic dips keep getting smaller after every announcement.
-January 5 PBoC announcement ("we will implement oversight"): drop of about $ 340 over three days.
-January 11 PBoC announcement ("this leverage is bs"): drop of about $ 150 over two days.
-January 18 PBoC announcement (see OP pic): drop of about $ 35 (so far).
>Gee great info, OP!
Th-thanks

metal-based outdoors equipment such as hatchets, etc.?
I own a small outdoors equipment store, and after we MAGA'ed there has been a demand for american made products
If you can do this kind of stuff, post itt and we will work out a way to get in contact and work out details
it would be preferable if you could make a sample for me to have or be purchased at a discount price so i can understand your quality of work
if you have the experience/facilities to produce 10-20 units a month, let me know
MUST BE AMERICAN BASED, EUROPOORS NEED NOT APPLY

Right, where else?
I plan to make a bot to spam comments to my site too
Thing is. I need a good adnetwork for this and haven't researched into the best ones
>>1740873
With the sea of porn sites, why would anyone go to your website instead of just going directly at the source, or on aggregators like elephanttube?
The only way I can think of that would make your website popular is to choose a narrow but popular niche (amateurs is too generic), and make it the whole theme of the website, so that people who want that specific niche have a reason to go to your specific website.
How to earn 200 euros every month without spending more than 4 hours every day working?
>>1740787
What's your budget?
part time job
should get you way more than 200 for a 20 hour week
>>1740791
I have 50 euros.
Lets say 0.

Self employment is about having no cap on your earnings not about having an easy life. If you have to worry about health insurance you're already a loser

LOL
I can afford health care anyway.
What do you make of the bond market right now?
Hard to tell.
On one hand, the Fed says we're going to have 4 rate hikes over the course of next year. Likely small increments like the last two (~0.25% each). But that will be enough to keep prices dropping the entire time. So it's not really that great of a place to stow value since it will slide.
On the other hand, if we do get a stock market meltdown bonds will be one of the safe places to take shelter provided you were there before the crash happened. If it does happen I'm not sure what the likelihood would be for the Fed to stay with its rate-raising plans. I'd guess they'd announce that the rest of the rate hikes would be cancelled, so existing bonds would immediately snap upward in value.
Let's use BND as a model. During 2008 it was at its lowest at ~69.96, down from 76.86 the month before and 78.53 early that year. Three months after the worst of the crash it was back up to 78.52.
I guess it also depends what would cause the next market meltdown. 2008 was mortgage backed securites. It looks like the next one might be consumer and/or education debt. In that case, both govt and corporate debt might be risky plays.
I'm long VCLT in my HSA so I'm pretty sensitive to rate hikes. It's got good distributions but I'm considering getting out since I expect a long slow slide that will cancel out what it is paying. On the other hand it looks like its top holding is AB Inbev, and beer is a vice good that flows more readily during recessions.

im in blackrock's junk bond fund. I'm thinking a lot of the debt could be upgraded as there are many mom and pop oil drilling firms that are shuttered right now basically just waiting for oil to rise and the new administration will make domestic drilling a priority for sure anyways. I'm not touching stock indexes until the market cools off as as I'm making excellent returns on my money anyways
>>1740782
There is no money in oil in the long-term. Not even Trump can stop progress.
So I just started learning about this stuff
any /biz/raelis that could explain what I am getting myself into
Could I survive on this?
nope.
>>1740650
>Could I survive on this?
That depends on what your expenses are.
You can survive on it but you won't be driving a lambo any time soon.
>>1740650
Okay, I will clarify since you seem to be confused:
NOBODY WANTS THIS SERVICE
Literally anyone that will buy from you will do it by accident. Dropshippers will just casually mention at the end of their auction/ad/whatever "oh yeah and item will be shipped from china eta 3 months" and hope people won't notice this and fall for it. It's basically a scam.
/biz/ I come to you asking for advice
>be me
>have good credit, stable job
>foolishly decide to splurge on family for Christmas because I never have
>look at statements today
>credit payment was returned due to NSF
>GO FULL PANIC MODE
>frantically try to see if I can scrape up something to pay at least the minimum
>can't
I'm freaking out because this has never happened to me before. Next paycheck comes in 15 days, am I screwed for missing this credit card payment?
>>1740627
advice? generally people with 'good, stable jobs' have some savings to specifically cover this kind of shit.

Anyone else here use algos to trade?
Pic related is my audnzd 3m algo. 32 days in and not doing too bad at all.
Experiences? Tips? Disaster stories?
My current algo uses conditions based upon momentum and ma and patiently awaiting the first disaster that takes me back to the drawing board.
>>1740597
What are it's back-testing results? Also did you do a walk forward analysis?
>>1740625
Back testing results were more around the 60% winners mark going back to July 16.
Not sure what forward analysis is though. I'm a bit noob at this... I don't really use indicators etc when trading so I was always skeptical of algos. But I've came round to the idea recently and wish I had been doing this all along haha.
Human emotions truly are a traders greatest weakness it seems... Don't get me wrong, I've made more in a month manually trading than this. But on a 3m chart? That territory is for robots only lol.
>>1740648
I'm interested in the area but have never actually put money into it.
It seems the hardest part of making an algorithm is verifying that it is actually profitable and not just producing biased results due to 'good luck' in the testing period.
This website has a few good articles on the topic and how it can be minimized.

>Human emotions truly are a traders greatest weakness it seems
I agree. If you automate trading one advantage is that you can implement strategies from a purely analytical standpoint and remove emotions like fear or greed that clouds the view of a normal trader.
A criminal scumbag broke into my shitty ford focus, damaged it, and stole some stuff. I have insurance but the deductible is high and it will suck to pay that much.
I'm in the middle of moving and I had all kinds of stuff in there (I think he noticed that and that's why he targeted my car) but it looks like he only took at most $50 worth of stuff (misc. electronics and accessories) and left the rest. I filed a police report but told them I haven't figured out everything that was stolen yet. They said I can call back when I do a full inventory. It sounds like they will take my word for it and won't send an officer to investigate/report. However an insurance agent will come and inspect the damage.
My question is, is it wise or unwise to accidentally exaggerate how many things were stolen, which would coincidentally result in a smaller deductible from my pocket? Insurance said they will only ask for receipts if the value of stolen goods is higher than the deductible. But is there a decent risk of screwing myself over?
The only way I can think of is if they actually catch the guy and recover some of my stuff, but not the stuff I exaggerated. Or if they recover, for example, my mp3 player and find out it's a cheap Sony player when I told them it was an Ipod touch.
We have no description of the suspect, no witnesses no videotape. The cops don't sound like they will run any investigation, but they might match my claimed items to something they recover. So his arrest is unlikely but what if it happened?
>>1740575
It's not worth the effort put the energy into working towards your mission instead it will generate more money then 50 bucks + repairs.
>>1740584
I get you, but is it that much effort to misremember that I had an extra mp3 player, camera, or watch etc than I really did? Not looking for $600 in claims but maybe an extra 200 would hypothetically be nice.
Is this a blazer or a suit? And also what is the difference? I'm going to an interview and need to know if this will suffice.
m.macys.com/shop/product/tommy-hilfiger-navy-solid-slim-fit-jacket?ID=1664231
>>1740570
a suit and a blazer are the same thing
a suit just has matching pants, put on different color pants and it's a blazer.
>>1740570
A blazer is just the jacket.
A suit is a matching jacket, trousers and, if it's a 3-piece suit, a waistcoat.
You should own at least a couple of suits (i.e. matching jackets and trousers)
That's not really true though. If you wear the wrong suit jacket with jeans you will look like an idiot. But you can wear any blazer with jeans.
If everyone made a youtube channel and a blog with an added google ad and then co-oped by liking and subscribing eachothers we could all make money for free every month we can scam them every month and everyone would win kind of like mineing for bit coin but we can all mine for likes comments and subscriptions.
