Thoughts
* I found some good jobs in the job section.
* I can't find a consistent red line on how people do (or are supposed to) structure their profile, how casual they do it and how much they put there.
* The articles are politically loaded
* Seems like there's a lot of HR people circle-jerk.

>"amazing business networking site"
>"will help you get a job"
>go on there
>shit all

>It lets me keep connected with past colleagues in a professional setting
>Gets me interview offers from employers who would never know me otherwise
>It's basically a constantly-updated resume that I can show off as I like without making my current employer think I'm job-hunting
I like it
>having your resume public for all to see with a simple Google search
What could possibly go wrong, desu?

I don't know. What could go wrong? I don't get it.

linkedin has a lot of fake posters, its best to call the HR and ask if that job exists. if it does it should be on their careers page too.

what do you have to hide?

>>It's basically a constantly-updated resume that I can show off as I like without making my current employer think I'm job-hunting
This is easily my favorite thing about it

Unless you already have 100+ business contacts (who actually know + remember + minimally respect you), it will do you more harm than good.

You want to be able to tailor your resumes for different types of positions and employers rather than trying to go one-size-fits-all.
Are you suit rich or pajama rich? Truly desirable people stay out of social media

>using your real name online in a public forum
Are there people really retarded enough to do this?
We should make a biz group page
does anyone have a premium/paid account? is it worth it? i'm self employed and have a fake account and use it to get all kinds of data, but you only get limited searches of certain types, i think last month i literally pissed through all of them on the first of the month during a maybe two or three hour project at max.

>get non-stop recruiter spam on linkedin
>respond to one because i want to work at company A
>he gets me an interview
>after the interview he promises to call within a week with the result
>hear nothing from him
>get an offer from company B
>contact someone else from company A
>turns out my recruiter got fired
>also i didn't get an offer
B2B marketing. It's pretty useful
