How should I put my education in my resume? I was in 4 different universities (2 student exchange 1 uni transfer)
in 4 years:

2014: uni 1
2015: uni 2 (transferred)
2016: Uni 2, but studied exchange in uni 3
2017: Uni 2, but student exchange in uni 4
11 posts and 1 images submitted.
>>
>>1838165
Just put uni 2 and list your exchange programs under that as bullet points
>>
>>1838187
This. They may ask for more in depth info later on in which case include uni 1
>>
>>1838187
>>1838195
Without adding the uni in 2014, that year will be blank (job, experience in that year). Will it affect my resume?

You can only sell as much as people are willing to buy. Hence trading volume.

That would destroy Apple

why

someone else would just own them instead

Sup /biz/, I've found a commercial space up for lease downtown where I live on the main street that has all the clubs and bars. Conditions are as follows :

>Around 175 sq ft, medium sized room with 2 wide windows
>New hardwood floors and paint job
>Still quite industrial / commercial, will need some work to make it feel homely if that is what's needed for the business
>$500/Month after taxes, monthly lease so I just pay month to month
>Mens/Wmns washrooms every floor, unfortunately no shower
>Literally 10 meters from one of the biggest clubs in the city

I really think this is a good opportunity to start a small business there, but am having trouble with ideas.

I was thinking I could furnish it and make it super chill / comfy, have a small fridge with beers, tv with video games, maybe karaoke, nice couches, etc. And maybe making it a space where people can come chill before / after their night out, or maybe even just to bring girls back for a quickie (there are like 10 clubs on this street within a 10 min walk from each other)

But idk how I could make this work logistically, booking timeslots or whatever or how exactly I would make money. Maybe I could resell beers for cheap on the downlow so people can come chill for cheap drinks instead of spending lots at bars? Place to crash for people after they go out? There are also alot of international foreign exchange students here, I feel like they (mostly Japanese) could be easier to cater to as well from my experience dealing with alot of them at a friend's business.

Got any ideas guys?

Some other ideas I've had are

>Games / chilling lounge for international student groups / DUDE WEED LMAOs
>Blowjob parlor
>Kneepad rental service
>>
A gym with ample locker space.

Make it somewhere the lifting obsessed bros can workout, shower and hit da club looking to satisfy their primitive urges.
>>
>>1833016

There's 2 gyms on this street so that's not an option, also no showers

I'm thinking about quitting my new job. I'm 5 weeks in, and I really don't like it.

When I started, I had some travel plans, so they gave me most of next week off and are not counting it against my vacation time.

If I came back and quit after returning (two weeks from now), would they have any legal way to dock my paycheck or expect to be paid back for that time they gave me?

I feel like the honorable thing to do would be to quit today, or at least let my boss know I'm not feeling like a fit for the role, as opposed to letting them pay me more than a thousand bucks to be drinking beer with my friends, only to put in my notice.

>>
>>1838076
You only get paid for the amount of time you're there. If you're new, then there is likely you won't even have vacation pay because it normally takes a year to receive. There also isn't any law entitling you to vacation pay. If you want to quit, tell them immediately. Whether you decide to give a two week notice is completely up to you.
>>
not what you should be worrying about

this is a really, really shitty thing to do

you're going to burn bridges, get an awful reference and a reputation.

don't underestimate how close-knit and what small worlds some industries can be; a lot of people know each other and word gets around.

when you explain your 5 week stint at a new job, you're going to look like a flight risk, and a fucking idiot to boot. why did you apply for the job if you didn't know anything about it?
you'll just take anything you can get, and will suck up all the training and resources i give you, then up and leave because it doesn't meet your fancy?

fuck off.

being serious man, stick at it for a few months more. don't make this mistake, unless you already have something lined up.
>>
>>1838108

I'm salaried - this vacation is going to be paid out to me like I was in the office, just not docked out of my "official" PTO bucket, which I'm supposed to receive at the end of three months.

But we're a small company, so there isn't any hard and fast rule - the CEO decided she wanted me on board so bad that she'd pay me during this trip.

what are the best countries to live in if i'm just passively receiving income from the USA?

Texas. You could buy a home with that interior for around $250K.

This.

If you're actually rich as fuck; New Zealand.

Depends on your income level and interests.

Most retirees from US go to Mexico. It's close to home, quite inexpensive, and many coastal parts are beautiful.

I was looking at it at one point, but decided to stay in the US.

One thing to note: Visit several times before moving and live there for a couple of years before buying (if you ever do buy).

Especially in poorer countries, buying can be a big mistake.

Why are families so shit at managing their money than individuals? Seems to me that individuals are more productive than families hence their wage growth has been higher with respect to productivity.

>Why are families so shit at managing their money

What does money management have to do with income? Unless you're working at a bank maybe...

>Seems to me that individuals are more productive than families
Really? You think children, elderly, pregnant women, disabled people and housewives might be less productive than singles working full-time? Wow, what a novel insight!

For starters, this graph is about household income, not family income. And personal income and household income are not two seperate things (aka singles vs families) you can simply contrast. Household income includes the personal incomes of everyone who lives there.

Without looking deeper into it, I would rather assume that this is the result of the single lifestyle. Less people start families, less partnerships are long-term and stable. If more people stay single, more households are founded, dragging the average household income down in relative terms compared to personal income.

If A and B live together and each earn $100 in 1993 and $120 in 2015, their household income is $200/$240. But if they split up in 2006, in 2016 you'll have 2 households with only $120 household income, dragging the average down without any impact on productivity (as you seem to claim).

Are you severely underaged or literally completely computer-illiterate? I've never even heard of your scammy site and I could figure out with 3 clicks how to get that info from the FAQ. Apart from the fact that it even tells you the next payout-time on your screenshot and would probably explain it to you if you clicked the "i" beside it.

>When and under what conditions do I get paid?

>Sellers are paid on PPS (Pay Per Share) system. Payments (payouts) are issued once a day if your unpaid balance is greater than 0.1 BTC. We process payments for balances greater than 0.01 BTC once every week, usually each Saturday at 23:00 UTC. Payments for balances greater than 0.001 BTC are processed once every four weeks.
>Unpaid balances, lower than 0.0001 BTC are considered as leftover amounts and the only option for you to get these amounts paid out is to connect your miner long enough to reach unpaid balance higher than 0.001 BTC which will then be processed in full in the next payout process. Please also note that we are periodically discarding amounts, lower than 0.0001 BTC for all long term inactive miners. All balances from all algorithms are aggregated into a single payment.

actually rdpd was the first biz book I ever red and it kickstarted my affinity for the finance, economy and business world. it's not a bad idea to read it as your first book. but from then on, you should start learning specific and knowledge filled books like tii or how to make money in stocks. read rdpd as a start off, then hop onto other books that actually teach you stuff instead of just making you feel good.

Hello /biz/.
Could any kind anons fill me in on bail-in legislation?
I've only heard that it's a countermeasure to another GFC, but at first glance it seems so counter-intuitive and not likely to ever pass through most governments.
What are the consequences of it? Why is it being suggested in the first place? What's stopping private account-holders from simply withdrawing their savings as cash?
3 posts and 1 images submitted.
>>
>>1837436
It's already law in a lot of places, btw, and generally there are exceptions for small-time private account-holders. The EU bank resolution directive (2014/59/EU) for instance excempts (among other things) collateralized debt, trustee money, salaries and any protected/guaranteed deposits (up to 100k for private individuals in the EU). They obviously don't want to go after your granny's savings account.

I think the main thrust is not taking money from deposits, but going after bond owners, typically the large insitiutional investors holding hundreds of millions in bonds, and subjecting them to a haircut or converting the debt they hold to equity. Several of the failed banks post-2008 showed the same pattern: As they announced the troubles, their bonds obviously tanked, because of the very imminent default risk. Then big high-risk funds swooped in and bought up billions in debt for a bargain (knowing full well this was a high-risk investment). When the governments finally stepped in and saved the banks, they started suing for full repayment and interest based on the bonds they owned.

It created a lot of political outrage and was seen as unfair by many. Why should the tax payer be held liable for the massive profits of high-risk speculative investors? So for the future they want people taking on higher risks to also shoulder a higher burden during the resolution of the bank. It's a countermeasure, since the actions post-2008 would otherwise indicate that "too big to fail" would equal "risk free investment", since the public will have to step in no matter what. A bail-in tries to bring back market-forces to securities issued by large banks.
>>
>>1837518
Large banks obviously hate it, because it tanks their credit rating since for the first time in a long while their creditors actually have to somewhat fear a default.

Partly to prevent this legislation and partly to alleviate the impact, they created their own little bail-in system with co-co bonds. Also shows that there was a need for bail-in, but without the threat of legislations I doubt many banks would have cared.
