How long would it take for me to breed a type of dog with a human level IQ of 130?
I'm honestly shocked nobody has tried to push canine intelligence to it's highest limit yet.
What use would a dog with high IQ have?

I'm not allowed to be inquisitive?

We could train them to infiltrate as pets and learn language to gather information.

So I was refilling water for my dogs one day and one of my dogs, a female, was humping another female dog. Soo... Uh I don't know if the dog is a lesbian or bisexual or something but I don't know why it started humping my other dog. This happened twice. Should I be concerned? I think it learned that from my older male dog that it sleeps near and plays around with a lot, but I'm not sure.
They're just horny and trying to get off

It's time
>>2456341
Pure homosexuality is quite rare in animals. More than likely an animal will be bisexual and use sex as a form of bonding and communication, or they simply don't give a fuck about genetic sex and fuck what/who they like. The latter is far more common.
Ferret feg here looking for some DIY toys and other things for my ferret. He's still teething and gets bored when I have to put him in his cage.
Also general ferret thread.
why ferrets? genuinely curious, are they comparable as a pet to something like a cat?
>>2456252
They just run around and do cute shit. Like a cat that is super high energy or asleep.
They are good pets if you work a full 8 hours, and want to come home and want to engage in some fuzzy play time. It's like having a cat, that is a puppy when your home. Basically all they do is sleep and play. Also here are my fuzzy babies
I just caught this snake inside my garden. Anyone know what kind of snake is this little fuck?

Put it in your ear.
So I found a huge tank in the thrift shop today, with it's stand, for about 30 bucks.
I haven't filled it up yet, so I don't know how many gallons it is, but it's at least 30, if not more.
I love aquariums, but I think with this tank, I want to do some hobby breeding of some kind of animal and hopefully be able to sell it to some local pet shop and maybe make a bit of profit.
Question is, what to breed.
Now, my first thought was cherry shrimp, because they are pretty low maintenance, and I never see any around my area so they would probably be in demand. Problems I can see with those are, shops may be unwilling to buy them off of me if fear that they may not being able to get their monies worth if they die, and if I mess something up in the aquarium, I could lose my whole stock.
My next though was feeder mice. I fucking LOVE mice, and I used to breed them. They aren't hard, a little more forgiving, and most shops are willing to take them off my hands.
Problems I can see with that is the air flow in the tank, and possibly ending up with too many mice that I might not be able to separate easily.
Another possibility that came to mind was reptiles or insects of some sort. Both of these, however, may be hard to sell to small shops and/or breed.
And I definitely can't do snakes because my landlord gets creeped out by them.
Right now I'm leaning towards mice or cherries, or possibly some other kind of fish.
I would love to hear some input from you guys.
What about frogs or snails?
>>2455668
I hadn't thought of that actually, but I've never seen frogs around here. What kind of snails were you thinking?
I was thinking of aquarium snails, but I think some need some special conditions to breed.
Breed some blue crayfish. Those things are cool as hell and sell for like 20 bucks each
I have a little dog that's a bit old by now, 13 years or so. Looked pretty healthy except for not being able to do a lot of exercise and all that stuff, had his last visitr to the vet a month ago.
Anyway lately sometimes his legs fail and whole body probably fail, he falls on the floor and pees himself. Obviously pretty worried, family members dismiss it as it just being because he's old.
Any similar experiences over here? Any advice appreciated.
>>2455299
My 15yo does that too. It doesn't seem to get better I going to have her put to sleep soon. My entire house reeks of her piss because she just constantly leaks.
>>2455299
Same happened to my dog. He just couldn't stand anymore, hold his bowels, blind as a bat. He was the best fucking dog I ever had. Dogs don't age well but they were there when we were at our lowest so the least you can do is love them half as much as they loved us
What animal is this? I see them occasionally and people ask me what they are and I have no idea.
I know it's not a mole because those are a lot smaller.
They look like wild guinea pigs with tiny beast eyes and puffy Gray fur
>>2455189
Beady eyes*

Vole?
>>2455189
What country?
Looks a bit like a small wombat
If you're getting a puppy, and have neighbouring dogs that bark all day because their owners work full time, but you'll be home all day though, what's the best way to encourage your puppy to not join in the barking?
People who are gone all day should not get dogs, or probably pets period.
>>2455045
Get a breed that doesn't bark too much.
Give them treats and/or praise when they aren't barking while the other dogs bark
