Just like with finding any well bred animal, there's a good chance you will have to travel quite a ways to get a healthy animal of the breed you want.

Hi, my sisters hamster is on his last legs so Im currently looking for replacement.
So far I narrowed my search to ferrets or rats.
Any experienced keepers here?
Which are better? Are there any other options?
Basicaly Im looking for some small animal that she can play with.
Im more reptile kind of guy so any advice is apreciated thanks

The semipalmated has fabulous white edged feathers, the western has a regal and upright posture that one should expect of the old western kings and finally you have the baird's which perfectly depicts it's namesake the hero Baird who was known for his massive pectorals.

Back in the time of dinosaurs, the only mammal was a shitty little tree shrew that eventually grew into all sorts of things. Some of the things it became were the primates, which weren't very fast or strong but were pretty smart. Eventually the primates used their superior intelligence and thumbs to take over the entire planet.

Used to really be into it when I was younger, would rent books and kinda always knew it was BS buy still wanted something to be real. That bigfoot hoax a couple years back kind of reminded me how silly the whole thing was. In fact most of them outside of the classic/folklore ones are really lame. Like for bigfoot, nessie, mothman, it's kind of fun to think about what people really saw, and the answer is usually pretty simple.

For example a coyote with mange could be easily be misinterpreted as a black leathery chupacabra and attacking goats seems logical too

I do only know one person who washes her dog regularly, but he has skin problems... maybe because of the frequent bathing?

Just keep an eye on her. If she vomits, tries to vomit, vomits goopey white shit, scratches at her neck a lot, can't shit, can't get up or move around a lot then you fucked up.

Also consider getting her euthanized. Dogs do not get emaciated just because they are old. She could have cancer or even her teeth may be so shit it's painful for her to eat so she doesn't.
If you truly love your dog you will let her go if she is suffering.

She'll probably be fine, most dogs handle chicken bones just fine, especially if they were raw.

Check her stool every time she goes poop and see if there's blood in it over the next 2 or 3 days. If there's blood take her to a vet and if not she's likely fine.
