Was waiting for a thread with my specific circumstance:
I'm not entirely in a bad position in life, but I'm unsure of where I should be.
I'm almost 31 working a retail job I've had for over 10 years. I've since met a girl and moved in an apartment for over 4 years now.
I'm honestly content with coming home from work and just sitting on the computer and playing video games.
But being almost 31, I question if I shouldn't be doing that anymore.
I have plenty that I want to do: games to play, books to read, TV shows to watch. I certainly can't get bored.
Basically I'm living like I am still 16, being cozy and not having any real concerns. Is this wrong though?
Yeah, nothing bad is happening, but should I be kicking life into high gear by going to school, getting some fancy career so that when something bad does happen, ill have something to fall back on?
I need perspective.

@ this point i'm not sure if this belongs in /fit/ or /adv/ but hell
so, i'm trying to figure out if i should keep losing weight or start trying to put on muscle. i'm currently 111.2, aiming to get down to around 95-100, and at 4'11. i've always liked the ~lithe look, but, i guess i also just defaulted to it since i'm pretty short and it seems like it would make the most sense.
i've lost weight without going to a gym (i run), but to gain muscle i'd need to spend some money on a gym or equipment, and so, in that case, i would be also in the market for some sort of work out buddy to help me out(not for motivation, i can motivate myself fine). but it just seems like a lot of commitment for results i may not want and i'm still not very comfortable with my body yet.
advice from anons?

Today I had a little party with my friends for the new year's eve, but other than the usual (male) friends there were also some girls that were relatives of some dudes there or something like that.

Most importantly, give yourself time. You won't change overnight, it might take a while. Be patient and keep trying.

So I've got this friend who I've shared a class with for about 4 or 5 months, and we're pretty close. We've hung out quite a few times, but it seems Im always the one asking to hang out or texting her or that sort of thing. Sounds to me like excuse to rationalize cheating or attempt to date someone else lol - "we weren't really dating, so it wasn't cheating."
1. Ask her to explain in detail what is her reasoning behind putting your relationship on a break. To make you understand.
2. Ask her how long is this going to take.
3. Ask her if she plans to date other people during that time. If so, put up a clear margin - either she is dating you or she is not. Don't let her fuck around with you anon.
