Consistent dates out, fun things to do together, etc. That's what the partner is missing in your relationship--the "what happens next" factor, which they are seeking by talking to other people.

If your partner is not receptive to this plan, or continues to bury themselves in phone/online conversations rather than work on your relationship, let them go. Don't be some beta bitch who waits for them to end it. You end it, and walk away with some dignity.

Most of the improvement psychotropics comes from placebo effect. So instead of swallowing some sugar pills with sideeffects, try CBT instead.

I would steer clear of social psychology, remember how that independent panel went through a great deal of psychological studies were repeatable? The worst area they found was social psychology. The best were cognitive and behavioral. Find a professor you like, buy them a decent bottle of wine and discuss your options.

Adv will generally advise you away from social sciences since this board heavily subscribes to the STEM masterrace ideal.

However, if you love social psych and don't enjoy cognitive then maybe a shift is right for you.

One thing to consider is whether the course branches out in your second and third years. First year of any course is often quite proscribed re:module choice; do you get freedom to pick other classes later on?

Finding the right medication for you can be a long and painful process, anon. So sorry you have to deal with this right now.

I had to try 5 different meds over the course of 3 years before I found one that helped my BPD symptoms.

I find that it takes 3-5 months before you can really tell if a medication is going to help you or not. How long have you been on Abilify?

If you don't like how the medication makes you feel, then definitely try a different one. Brains are weird and when you find the right one, it can be such a relief. It's worth it to switch a couple times if the side effects are too much.

I hope you find one that matches your chemistry.

Abilify since the end of February but stopped taking it regularly in April and have taken it every other day the last week or so because of its long half-life.

I can't tell if its me making connections where there are none or if it makes me an asshole, based on events that have come up. Everyday is just the same, I wake up forcefully, commute, go to work, get back home, sleep due to lack of it at night (and I don't sleep at night because of it), take an extensive shower, because I feel dirtier than what I am, masturbate, then sleep late.

Rinse and repeat.

All of this, combined with my male impotence, failed ambitions, cynical outlook, have made me miserable.
