FAQ:
>Do girls/guys like <insert specific look>?
>Is my body part big/small enough?
>Am I short/tall enough?
>Would you date a virgin?
><random insecurity>
Some do, some don't. Preferences differ, but complexes are always a turn-off.
>I'm shy and afraid of people/rejection. What do I do?
Get over it by practicing and exposing yourself to it, little by little, step by step. There is no single magical moment that will instantly change you forever. It takes hard work, time, and effort.
>I like someone. What do I do?
Ask them out.
> <excuse as to why you can't ask them out>
Shut up
>How can I tell if someone likes me?
Ask them out. This is something that cannot be explained. You either have learned to intuit this or you have not. If you have not, the only way to learn is experience--there are no shortcuts. So it comes back to: Just ask them out.
>Where do I meet girls/guys?
Anywhere outside. Or online. Don't complain that this isn't helpful; stupid questions deserve answers like this.
>Someone did something insignificant. What does it mean?
Nothing significant. Stop overthinking it.
Alternative answer: we don't fucking know.
>XYZ happened. Interpret this for me please
We're not in their head, we don't fucking know. No amount of your walls of text will fix that.
>This person did something that hurt my feelings. Why do guys/girls do this?
Because shit people are shit people. It's not a gendered thing
>Someone has made it abundantly clear they're no longer interested in me. Do I still have a chance?
No
>Where do I go on a first (or subsequent) date?
Pick one or more of the following: coffee, lunch, dinner, drinks, ice cream, movies, zoo, aquarium, museum, art gallery, <activity in your city>
>Brandon, that one guy who keeps asking about cuddling in platonic friendships and fart guy
Fuck off
Cis girls and boys,
How do you honestly feel about trans girls?
>>17134681
Would friend, would not date
Id like to know if you're trans desu, i tend to miss it and people get offended
I dont care who or what you are so yeah
>>17134690
It would help if you stated your gender.
Also, the whole point of transitioning is to live as the other gender you identify as. So, being visibly trans (aka not passing), can be traumatizing to some trans people. I pass and blend in with other cis people, so it's not a problem to me, personally.
>would not date
O-oh okay. ;( Everyone has their preferences, and that's totally okay.
How safe is it buying a second hand phone?
Broke phone and need a new one.
I hear that a lot of them are stolen and such, how do I make sure they aren't, is there a way?
Not really
You get a receipt so you're clear because you can prove that you bought a phone as is and the shoo is responsible for selling stolen items
You can also ask for the IMEI number to check if the Phone was reported stolen

Thanks, yo.
Any advice for someone losing his faith in religion for the second time?
It isn't that I'm losing my faith in god altogether but there's way too many things in christianity I can't get past and make no sense to me.
I think the only thing keeping me drawn to it now is a great fear of damnation, which is also the reason I'm losing faith..
you don't have to subscribe to a religion to keep faith in god or have your own spirituality
make your own religion
you have as much right to believe and practice however you wish as any person or any group
just because it's done a lot doesn't make it the only option for you
>>17134611
How to free myself from fear of hell? I still work to be a good person but I have that fear still that that isn't enough to save me from hell if it does indeed exist
>>17134640
do you want hell to exist
if the answer is yes, then play by your rules
if the answer is no, then it doesn't have to
if your response to the prompt is 'it doesn't matter, there's one anyway' then you need to rethink what you want out of your spiritual life and why you feel obligated to believe one exists
fear of eternal suffering is powerful
but it doesn't have to exist if it affects you negatively
The MCAT is crushing my hopes and dreams. Help
>>17134586
that shits not that hard bro. you have to not give up and adapt yourself.

I made bad last year, studied for three months, and made 1 point worse. I've started studying again after I got rejected in March and it's like the more I study, the more fucked I feel because I keep finding more stuff I don't know. I think I'm getting better at test taking but content wise it's killing my motivation
The MCAT isn't easy, but studying for it is. Just do a practice one, figure out which specific sections you make mistakes in. Then study those sections, do a few dozen more questions similar to the one you made a mistake in. Keep doing this until you can get 45 at least once in a practice (even if it's virtually impossible, it'll make sure you keep improving so you don't throw on the actual exam)
I have a family member that's been forcing me to work for him for years now, and he's now stalking me and saying that I'm not a "real man" because I play games on my PC on occasion and read articles. He's now giving me death threats and trying to catch me on my off hours to do the same shit. I've called police and nothing was resolved.
How can I murder him without a gun?
>>17134536
Put estrogens and antiandrogens into food/drinks and once he notices he has feminized a metric fuckton and lost his muscle mass, fuck him in the boipucci.
Don't know if murder is your best option, but if you're set on it get creative. Again though, be sure it's what you want to do. Premeditated murder can land you a life sentence in my country.
>>17134536
Just get a license for a firearm, practice at the range a bit and understand the proper shooting stance for small arms. Obviously don't tell him, don't instigated any fights, be passive as fuck. But, if he comes at you, gun him down.
Am I going bald? Is this hair loss or just a wide scalp?
>>17134529
Op i think that's just your hairline. Hard to tell because the angle is wonky
>>17134529
will you be my gf

Should I read books and quit playing video games altogether? Not sure what to do.
>>17134494
there's nothing wrong with an occasional game. I recently cut way back on video games and I'm working on self improvement now.
>>17134505
I want to be living the literary life, and playing video games is hindering me from doing so. The problem is actually quitting games. The last game I beat was Dark Souls 3, but now I'm into the Final Fantasy series. I just want to stop playing video games, but it's tough.
>>17134513
Sounds like you don't want to quit playing game to me
So I put on these brand new track pants for college and my gf tells me I shouldnt wear them. They are new I just havent worn them yet either. When I ask her why? she said because I'll look like a criminal? Get into an argument over them, tells me she'll break up with me if I wear them. What is so bad about these brand new track pants? I see people wearing ripped clothes at college
ps. Im fit and do lift, they suit me very well
Italian mobsters and Russian gangsters wear track suits.
Your gf threatening to break up with you if you wear something is a bitch move though. 0/10 would not approve.
>>17134478
Because track pants look ridiculous even when you're running, why would any sane person wear them as normal clothing?
/fa/ is a better board for your question
>>17134481
Are you stuck in time or something? The mob dosent even exist in America anymore, that was 20 years ago
how do i figure out the next step in my life from here?
i recently graduated college. after a hopeless job search i began think about my life a lot. i don't know what to do from here or where to go. before school ended it was easy, everything was on a track and i knew what i had to do. the goal was "graduate school, get a job" now i don't know if my degree was something i was even interested in and i can't even get a job. i don't know what to do with my life next.at the same time i have all these dreams of doing something unrealistic like being a musician, a directer, or some artist.
i feel lost and confused and don't know what to do from here.
>>17134471
what is your degree?
as for the arts stuff, do it in your spare time, thats what i do. you dont have a wife and kids to worry about atm so your free time should be more than just vidyah and friends and the like
>>17134475
business economics
>as for the arts stuff, do it in your spare time, thats what i do. you dont have a wife and kids to worry about atm so your free time should be more than just vidyah and friends and the like
I come from a poor family and really don't have any money to pursue anything artistic. I only chose my degree because it was useful towards getting a job.
>>17134588
>i literally could not buy an instrument ever
>my families economic situation is mine for eternity of course
these werent dreams so much as passing fancies were they?
What are some general tips for a soon-to-be college student?
>>17134459
talk to everyone, just act like its normal and people will see it taht way. people only see you acting awkward if you think you're acting awkward.
actually study. dont just do homework. study it. review your homework. even if it sjust a half hour before bed where you review the homework itself. but seriously, read what you can.
try not to waste any time. its okay to have relaxation time, but when you have a giant block of time you dont know what you're doing with, try to schedule only part of it as relaxation and the rest as reading course work, etc.
look for podcasts on subjects you are studying that week for even more knowledge.
try to read ahead but only ever by one lesson. anyhting more you'll start to confuse yourself.
eat healthy food for at leat one meal a day, cuz that cafeteria junk will make you pudge out.
if you experiment iwth your sexuality, do it with someone who isn't out of the closet. homos dont learn not to kiss and tell until later on (plus oyu'll have more fun with someone else experimenting imo)
Don't take out too many loans if you ever want to own a house one day.
Be sure to chat with your dorm neighbors, great way to make friends.
Don't stick with it if you're unhappy (beyond the usual stress of academia). Find another major or school.
Pick a real major that can actually net you a job, avoid things like underwater basket weaving.
When you're taking things like calculus, chemistry, and physics the homework is going to be boring, but you need to do it.
Make friends with everyone you can and treat people with respect. Listen to your professors when they tell you to do x,y, or z to succeed, they have seen many kids fail and it occasionally bothers them.
Ok hears the deal, I asked a girl to a big dance thingy that my school is hosting. Its kinda like a prom but in collage. I missed my high school prom and regret it thats why I asked this girl. I asked her after class when everybody left, (because I didn't want to embarrass) and I knew she always took a long time to clean he things up. She said "I dont know if I'm going to the dance yet." But giggled and smiled all the way though. Shes a really nice, kind girl and I don't think she would make fun of me for asking. I'm like a 4-5/10 and shes like a 7.5/10. I have at least one class with her every day. So its inevitable that I'm going to see her again. She also went to another event like this alone.
>What should I do/ask her when we are in class?
I'm not good at this kind of stuff.
Verbatim I asked "I'm not that good at this kind of thing, but it would be a pleasure if I could escort you to the dance."
On a separate note I don't have a car because its tight for me and nobody can let me use theirs because work.
>How do I try to work that out too if she says yes?
-The way you asked it was really passive.
- Wait until it gets closer and ask if she's made a decision.
- If she agrees: because you don't have a car, just agree to meet there.
How old are you?
>>17134448
>i already asked her out
>how do i ask her out?
if im not reading this wrong, you asked
>im not good at tihs kind of thing, but it would be a pleasure if i could escort you to the dance.
saying 'i dont know if im going to the dance yet' is a no. the reason she worded it this way is so that if she does go to the dance she can be like 'OH YEAH I DECIDED TO GO AT THE LAST MINUTE, TOTALLY FORGOT TO TELL YOU'
never open with 'im not that good at this kind of thing'.
>>17134463
Im 19. I really do like her but she cute and nice but I dont want to see her alone at the dance or not go at all because I know its something I regretted and so did some other friends.
Hi /adv/, I'm a female who'd like to ask out a guy in my year. I'm not sure what details to include so I'll provide anything that'll help you give me advice on how to go about doing this
Just ask him out
Wanna go for a coffee
Walk in the park
Ice cream
See a movie
Whatever you wanna do
>>17134427
any details are more helpful than no details. generally speaking with girls you get it easy
>talk to him
>ask him if he'd like to get some coffee (or other activity you know you'd both enjoy)
pretend to be shy if you arent, he'll get it.
>>17134427
if u have his number just text him anon wanna have coffee or something or if u dont have it just talk to him when his alone
Every time I watch a Drama Alert video, even in the most heated moments, Keemstar just keeps eating his popcorn. Since he eats it so much, it must be amazing popcorn, right? Does anyone have a recipe?
He uses alexs cream
Why is that guy so popular anyway?
>>17134334
People like listening to other people telling them what to do. The whole 'wake up sheeple' meme is actually kind of truthful.
I've been in a mental hospital for a few months and now I'm going to be let out. I was 17 when they decided to send me here, now I'm 18. I know I can't really talk to old friends, they probably don't want me anymore. I'd imagine my family is ashamed of me / humiliated. I'm not really sure what to do. I might have a hard time getting a job too. To be honest I'd rather live with a nurse here, she was nice to me and is forgiving, which probably can't be said for others
>>17134282
>everyone probably wants nothing to do with me
why? mental hospital aside, what lead up to you going there? maybe some will judge you but it sounds like your parents might at least let you stay with them.
>jobs
agian, what did you do?
You're probably wrong about your friends and family. Most likely they're worried sick about. I know my family was after I got into a psyciatric hospital.
Why not go to college?
>>17134300
I really don't like going into details, it makes me feel even worse. I'll just say that a little kid (5 yr old)had to get counseling cause of me.
How do I win arguments/come out on top when bantering?
I've bullied when I was younger, youngest one in my family, always had an unpopular or controversial opinion and I'd get shut the fuck down. I have some friends but it always ends up with me being the object of ridicule when we poke fun at each other. In arguments I never feel sure of myself or my position. And I never win. It could be a shitpost fest on 4chan, it could be trying to argue a point in a professional setting or having a political discussion with friends and family.
If someone disses me, I'd diss them back but my insult would be just... terrible. People could insult me and I'd be genuinely upset but I can't seem to dole out similar verbal punishment to others.
How do I become a verbal gladiator?
>>17134277
If you're in a group and you are the one with the unpopular opinion you will never win.
As corny as it sounds, watch movies. Actors are cast because they can portray natural human response in a realistic way. Watch how they act certain emotions, and understand how they manipulate the audience with their facial expressions and body language.

read reddit, news, be in awkward gatherings a lot, and youll know what to do later on in life.
