So here's the deal - this guy and I used to work together. I thought he was reasonably attractive right away but when we actually bonded over some things and started hanging out what I thought was sexual tension started going through the roof.
He took every chance to touch me in passing and I can tell how he's always looking at my reactions to the jokes he tell etc. Everyone around us has noticed and are convinced he's in love with me or something, while no one suspects me and my poker face. Yet when I confessed to him he said he doesn't know if he can reciprocate and doesn't know what I mean by him having touched me.
What the fuck do I do? People (including him) have told me before that I am intimidatingly attractive or something so could that be it? I've given him every chance to be with me but he won't take it. Is it possible that everyone has just misunderstood and he actually isn't interested or is he intimidated? Should I just leave him be or keep trying and give him time to get used to the idea?

I'd keep trying to get his attention and keep suggesting to him that you're available, in case he changes his mind. Guys find it endearing when you keep trying, they don't immediately label you as creepy or something.

Also, some venting in there.
I'll cut straight to it. Since October of last year, I've had some crazy shit going on with my body. It started with what felt like growing pains in my left arm. Sometimes in the shoulder, sometimes the elbow, and even the wrist. Sometimes it was so painful I couldn't sleep on it. Within a month of developing that, I began to get cankor sores in my mouth. They'd come and go rather quickly. Some tongue bleeding with circular red patches too. My throat also hurt something wicked. Kept me up at night as well. Go to doc, get diagnosed with tendonitis. Nothing to say about my throat. That's cool.
By February, the pain in my arm and mouth just... goes away. Didn't really do much to initiate that. Felt like there wasn't much to do. Starting around mid April, I develop this circular rash on right hand, above lip, and around both eyes. The rash on hand itches like mad sometimes. Around my eyes was a little itchy and above my lips, not at all. It looks like lizard skin. My skin around my eyes looked particularly like separated, dry scales. My eyes healed in about two weeks. It's almost three months now. My hand still flares up in the original area where it started, with smaller flare ups. Above my lip begins to look dry, and get an irritated shade of red. The only thing that makes it go away is steroid ointments.
Here's the biggest doozy. Around Mid May, my stomach pretty much turned on me. It started out as nausea then morphed into intense pain. Doesn't matter what I ate or didn't eat. I also changed a lot of products thinking it was an allergic reaction. It seems obvious this is systemic. Anyway, the pain was excruciating. Sometimes eating a small bite of something triggers it. Took a 14 day course of nexium, a 2 week course of 20mg omeprazole twice a day,then upped it to 40mg. This is my fourth day on antibiotics for a UTI that fucking came out of no where.

Well here's the short story:
I'm really autistic, can't talk with a girl for shit and i don't have any topics to come up with them.
That's strange because i had a 1 year girlfriend and everything gone okay, and i had been hanging out with a girl for 1 month before i've gone to another university.
I play and know something about music, i'm into games, tv series, animes, i exercize, but i never know what to say to a girl, specially if she only aswners with "oh. Yeah. Yep."
Maybe i'm forcing myself too much? Should i just focus on my studies and tell my friends, who try to make me hang out with girls, to fuck off? I mean, i find some of them attractive but it never works.

Hey /adv/ so I'm starting work as a receptionist at a GP soon. I've never worked as a receptionist ever, but they've run me through two 1-2 hour trials of the position and I'm picking up the work flow really quickly.
The doctor wants me to do three more training sessions before they hire me this week. I'm totally cool with it since I have plenty of time and I'm really keen on the job.
My dad however, has been telling me that the training should be paid and that the practice is really unprofessional etc. whereas my sister says it's completely normal?
Especially since I have no prior experience, plus I've been told not many receptionists stay long (the practice attracts many stressed out business people as patients so the doc wants me to get a feel for the patients that come in) so I'm assuming they don't want to start paying someone with no experience outright, only to have them leave.
Is this all ok you think? I've never had a job before, and I've done heaps of volunteer work so it didn't bother me to do a couple of unpaid training sessions to lead to a paying job.
Also tips and hints for reception work I guess.

I don't know the answer to this since you're in australia, but I googled "are unpaid internships legal in australia" and got your Fairwork government website answering a lot of your questions. If your situation was in the U.S.? No, it wouldn't fly. You can't do work replacing a worker or to benefit an employer like a regular employee and not pay them. However, briefly looking at Australia's page, it looks a lot more lax, so it might be okay. But you need to go look at that page and see.
As for receptionist tips? Always. Be. Professional. Always. Always, always. Just because a customer is having an ~*emotion*~ (or several emotions), doesn't mean you have any need to come to their level. Let them run their course, and maintain your professional, calm demeanor. Be kind and friendly. Multitask. If you find you forget things, then post-it notes are your best friend for jotting down notes as you go. Don't be afraid to ask questions. But keep your emotions in check around the customers or if you're being reprimanded or something. Get that chill multi-tasking flow going on and you will rock it.

Ah thanks I did more reading on it, I guess I got so eager for a job I started thinking more on whether this was something a lot of employers did as opposed to if it was legal ha. Thank you for looking into it and pointing me in the eight direction.
Looks like it's fine if it's all supervised sessions. I think once they offer me a shift on my own I'll make sure if to see if it's a formal job offer and not just an unpaid shift.
And thank you for all your tips, I'll take it all to heart. The practice is right in the middle of an area full of law offices so I know it'll be way busier than the GPs I've personally been to.
