At the end of the day this is not really any of your business. The well-being of your parents' marriage can't be your responsibility.

Your mother and father are grown people with the capability of controlling their own lives and doing with it as they see fit. I'm not telling you you aren't allowed to take sides or be supportive but its not healthy, nor is it really appropriate for you to be so involved in the ins and outs of their marriage.

What should I ask exactly?

When I spoke to the boss originally, after about 2 weeks of working here, he simply said that he wanted me to try it out here as an intern for a while before he would hire me as a regular because he hired 2 people as regulars in the past and they were terrible fits with the company so he is being more cautious. I said ok and agreed to keep working as an intern.

Now that it's been a little over 2 months I was considering waiting just a little more, like til mid-April and then bringing it up with him again.

It's just that I have no communication with anybody all day here and have seen the boss twice in 2 months. It's as if nobody knows I'm here.

Should I just walk in his office and say I have just a few questions if he has any time? Or rather should I send him an email asking to meet and discuss some things with him whenever he has time?

Not OP but when you're insecure your tolerance for failure is much lower. Being rejected even once or twice is devastating, speaking from personal experience. It's hard enough to try the first time but even harder to try the second time and harder again to try a third.
