kinda. as a general rule it just matters how they feel about you. if they dont like you then they will think its too forward. if they do like you, it wont matter they'll just be happy you said so.

regardless, a better middle ground is to just bring up some common ground you have and ask to hang out while enjoying that. if you literally don't know of anything you two like to do, just talk to him after class and try to steer that conversation. say you got a mad sushi craving, and if he says he likes sushi, then you say 'dude lets go get some tomorrow'.

Technical/Production Artist for a company that made slot machines. Although my job was more like taking the graphics and movies from the games made for the casino floor and resizing them to fit the templates for the company's mobile and facebook apps.

Thing that sucks is the job description for a production artist or a technical artist is totally different than what we did. My dream job is to do something with illustration or concept art or storyboards, but while it'd be great to get that, I need a job asap so I'd like to find one that was at least similar to my last job.
