When you find or loot a new weapon the enemy used, and it's more powerful than what you had, what goes through your mind first - Better get rid of it? Keep it to fight more powerful enemies the GM is hinting at? Or something else?

We've never actually been deep enough in the shit that picking up fallen weapons was needed. Hell, I've gone entire campaigns with my standard kit.
That's not to say we've never acquired weapons, but they were always from loyal sources.

I seldom use the cant when GMing my own Planescape campaigns, and I do not regret it one bit. It is not particularly necessary to capture the feel of a wondrous, surreal, multiversal setting.

I also try to make my Sigil less of a dark and gloomy 90s megacity, and more of a friendly wonderland still full of conflict and adventure. Thus, the cant does not quite fit in my vision of Sigil.

Yes, most people in the region I'm planning on running my game in have abandoned their traditional gods in favor of a pantheon of metallic dragons after said dragons sacrificed themselves to stop a famine. You can still find preserved dragon meat in some cathedrals, but it's only ever given to the starving.

I'm working on a homebrew that takes place in a fantasy world that takes inspiration from late 19th century imperialism and the tensions leading up to the first world war. Essentially steampunk but not shitty. It's a very grounded campaign with little to no magic, outside of deeply arcane eldritch shit that your average person wouldn't know about.

There's only one thing "magical" I'd like to do, and that's to have a flat earth. I'm fine with ships not sinking over the horizon or whatever. I wanted my map to just more or less be a big circle, where the closer you got to the center, the warmer the biome. So the central areas of the world would be rainforests and societies of antiquity, and the further out you got the colder it became. The problem is that no matter how I slice it there's no easy way to make a flat earth that behaves at least a little bit like the real world. The Flat Earth Model that you see thrown around the most just looks dumb to me, with the sun going around in a big circle. But a stationary sun hovering over the middle of the world is just as dumb, because shadows would always be cast in the same location, leading to places where walking into the shade would be freezing cold.

tl;dr, what's a good fantasy model for a flat earth?

How about your sun circles the disc in an elliptical orbit (orange). Perihelion is over the center of the disc (red axis). When the sun moves towards the horizon its distance increases, negating any greater would be warmth gain from proximity. The disc (blue) rotates slowly around its axis to make seasons. The resulting summer (yellow) area is likewise elliptical. Center has perpetual summer (pink).

I like this model, but I had this idea of the "edge" of the world being an infinite icy ocean. I suppose this could add to the eldritch element though

Alright /tg/, so I've got an ancient evil that's been imprisoned long ago, and is now starting to wake. How would he begin to affect the world, both the initial subtle steps as he begins to corrupt the world, straight up through the more dramatic omens as his escape nears and the world seems like its ending?

Some thoughts I've already had are things like starting cults, poisoning crops, sending vermin.

Archetypes I'd like to see:
1) Non-Battlerager Berserker that's functional. Just make the Intimidate feature have actual value and reduce the rate of Exhaustion accumulation of Frenzy and it'd be a viable (if far from optimal) alternative to Totem Barbarians.
2) Elemental Sorcerers. The framework is already there with Storm Sorcerers, and Elementalists are a staple of D&D throughout not only every edition but almost every setting too.
3) A Warlock that feels like it actually made a pact with something / is in an agreement with a greater power, as opposed to the current flavor which is "Sorcerer but not Sorcerer only kinda like Sorcerer but trust us it's not a Sorcerer".

I'm looking for a mount/Animal to give my players as a reward, to pull their carriage.

I'm looking for something other than a horse only because the person giving them the mounts is a powerful (Not)Strahd vampire lord, and they can get a horse from anyone, this guys a powerful lord.
