I use my usual mostly classic music list without any voices that I always use to concentrate and study. After years of doing so, it really flips a switch to serious mode in my brain

Well, I'm listening to Pink Floyd right now and going over ideas for tomorrow night's conclusion to our latest Pathfinder campaign.

It's perfect for it. I'm very relaxed. So I can review the events of this evening, and finalize what I need to.

The most I'll do is pull things like character names and descriptions of places from songs (ideally not super well-known ones so my players don't realize what I'm doing). I find that it's hard for me to simultaneously listen to music and do something that requires thought.

3.5 and pathfinder don't even mention that paladins are required to have a deity. Your power comes from your oath, not a god - you're not a cleric.

I'd say that paladin would be that guy who stands up to inquisition when they get too uppity, to protect the common people.

When Pelor decides to burn the world and free it of sin, an epic paladin would be at the front of the defense, standing up for the weak and downtrodden while the clerics submit to their god.

You're basically captain america.

What's in the North, how is she queen, and what does being queen entail for barbarians?

Here were the descriptive details for Tessagog's creation:

Currently the body is both statuesque and stacked with Sorceress TnA and covered in Liliana markings with Yukinas chiseled back. She also has the Sisters of Battle's shoulder pauldrons with the Lady of Pain's blade feathers decorating it like a cape while also wearing Snake scale gauntlets. She has Marcille's pointed elf ears and blonde hair. She weilds dual dwarven axes. She has Celestines child bearing hips and Alariels perfect calves/thighs. She has sexy yellow Orc eyes with a Red Sonja inspired chainmail bikini top. She has creamy asian colored skin and wears Greek inspired Greaves with leather strapped backs and Orc carvings in the armor while being bare footed. She has a thin, Whale Tail styled chainmail loin cloth bottom with a wolf head sporran in front of it.

Can't say I'm loving it, but a fine try.

When running an AoR game, how does one allow suitable character diversity? EotE assumes a ragtag group of lowlives and FaD assumes people brought together by fate, both of which lend themselves to parties composed of widely different careers and specs. But in a military setting I'm struggling to think of a justification for such a strange grouping in a long-term campaign.

Or maybe the crew of a transport involved in logistics, where you're all dedicated soldiers but have different backgrounds and specialties in addition to having roles aboard the freighter.
