On Dorn specifically. I caught this bit of fluff in a Deathwatch sourcebook but it was mentioned that his bones are in a shrine. The Imperial Fists have this habit of keeping the bones of fallen Battle Brothers and scrimshawing them with images of awesomeness as a little moral booster. The fluff said Dorn's skeleton was intact and scrimshawed all over.

He got himself brainwashed by a demonic sword, which stands as one of the most embarrassing things to have ever happened to a Primarch - which led to destroying his biggest clue to the Heresy (Eldar meeting) and killing his best friend. He was no longer Fulgrim at that point.
