>tfw should have been Warmaster but wyrd said otherwise
>>51958277
Aren't warmasters supposed to be good at war though?
>>51959457
He was the loyallest though.
>>51959478
Also an unpopular douchebag who could never have effectively commanded other Primarchs in a combined multi-Legion force.
Never played Mutants and Masterminds, but I'm interested. Is pic related how it goes most of the time?
>>51957723
I don't imagine there will be as much singing
>>51957742
Not with that attitude.
>>51957723
Nooooooooooooooooooooo?
This is /tg/, it just ends in incredible shenanigans and unexpected minmaxing as people really take advantage of the extent of the system.
There are some people who really seem to hate big weapons.
Wizards with floating gems circling their staffs, barbarians that can lift a grizzly bear over their heads, thieves that can dance on the head of a pin, all these seem to go unchallenged, but a sword that weighs more than 10 lbs isn't even included as an option in 5e, regardless of how high your character's level or strength score might be.
Is it really that impractical, regardless of how strong your character is?
>>51956320
Yes, And it's too slow.
20 STR and dual-wielding is beastly.
One word. Envy.
>>51956320
I like big swords, but yes, I will balk at a ridiculously large sword.
Monsters like the flamberge are fine though.
Godzilla is attacking, the last character you played as is the last hope in stopping him.
Can you do it?
>>51950788
A level 1 kobold cleric who worships dragons.
Fuck this, Imma his new prophet and will bring the good word of the Dragons to the world.
>>51950788
A half-elf white necromancer.
Oh this is going to be ugly.
Rolled 1 (1d20)

aaaaaaaaaa!!!
>>51950704
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!
AWOOOOOOOOOO!
Your party discoveres a feral girl sleeping nude sleeping with her bear family. Will you leave her be or bring her back to her people?
>>51945989
Leave her and come back in a few years our party needs a barbarian
>>51945989
Bears are worth some xp, we kill them and leave her alone unless she seems strong enough to be worth xp. Otherwise let her grow in strength until she will be worth xp.
You mention that the girl is nude but what about the bears? Do they have anything of value?
Come one, come... well, hopefully it's more than one.

What are you playing? What's your campaign?
Rifts China -

I know it, you know it, we all know it, the 'nids need fixing on so many levels for them to be balanced with the other factions. How do we do this? Share ideas.

Nid players deserve to suffer.

Recent discussion proved fruitful and enjoyable. Support for the Hiigaaran scum left me very disheartened though, #Riesstiudidnothingwrong glory to Taidaan.
>>51884915
TAIIDAN A SHIT
A SHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIT
>>51884915
The Taidaan had awesome design, great music themes, but they were a bunch of assholes.
The Emperor is an insane clone, and utterly devoid of empathy. It's literally Persian Nazis in Space. Cooler than Nazis, sure.
But I'll admit, Cata did a good job with them, showing them as desperate ("What can we do? You killed our Emperor. Destroyed our Empire.") but in the end they even helped ya after being shafted by the beast.
Pity HW2 forgot about them in exchange for.... space vikings? Space whatever? Had the Vaygr any, I don't know, character bar "They like missiles and disposable ships"?
And a single thing, has someone ever found the HW2 Guide that had all the backstory they cut from the manual? Never got a pdf.
>>51885672
>space vikings? Space whatever?
They're space [Insert barbarian horde attacking Europe here, e.g. Huns, Mongols]
As for the backstory guide, I don't think there was one?
I've been really enjoying a campaign with a new GM and liking the cool characters and sidequests he crafted, but then he suddenly introduced the most blatant Magical Realm I have ever seen in my life. Should I really keep playing after this?
Tell us what it is at least.
>>51987872
It's feet shit.
>>51987866
We all know this thread is a damn lie to reel us in, but we may as well play along
Tell us what the magic realm is
In one fictional fantasy setting, female drarves have beards.
In another, unrelated fictional fantasy setting, female dwarves do not have beards.
Which one of those is objectively the only correct one?
I cannot comprehend two fictional settings having different facts about what an imaginary creature looks like. One of them has to be right and the other has to be wrong. I am incapable of accepting that this sort of thing depends on the setting. I demand that all fictional settings be exactly the same. There must be a single correct way to write about dwarves. It can't depend on the setting. One must be true and the other false.
>>51984999
>One must be true and the other false.
False logic.
Your lack of imagination is not anyone elses' problem.
>>51984999
Female dwarves with beards are only favored by feminists who think shaving their legs and armpits is evil patriarchy at work. The true patrician taste is female dwarves that look like this.
Facial hair does grow on them, but they shave
Thing fundamentally wrong with this guy is that if you keep failing, regardless what you do, you eventually fall into apathy, despair and stop trying.
So essentially anyone worshipping this birdman will eventually fall into Nurgle.
And when you do, it was planned and/or accounted for
>>51984828
yes and thats change and change is good
>>51984828
>Tzeentch constantly schemes to keep souls away from Nurgle
>His schemes inevitably fail, driving souls away from him
>Nurgle wins by doing absolutely nothing
How utterly appropriate.
I've been tooling around a character concept for a bit and was hoping to get some feedback. I've been wanting to play as a magus with an intelligent weapon, but more accurately as the sword itself. Think Anubis from stardust crusaders, but more of a slowly consuming parasite instead of TOUCH IM CONTROLLING YOU NOW LOL
I'm also trying to think of problems that will spring up from this and if I risk being that guy; e.g. We're meeting the king and have to turn in our weapons, and I can't readily do that without my host flopping over dead if I can't get back to him in time.
Also, general cursed items and traps thread?? Mundane or magical
>>51983753
Another problem I was thinking might arise is if my current host dies but the party survives the encounter, it would make sense for them to take my stuff without them knowing about me being the sword, and then I might accidentally enthrall/ steal another players character, which would
A- be a dick move
B- possibly blow my cover
C- result in me being disenchanted from magical scrap
I guess also build advice? We'll probably play pathfinder so feat suggestions and the like would be appreciated. I was thinking about taking diehard/endurance to fit the theme of not really feeling/ caring about my host's body too much
>>51983753
You've got a fun concept, and I dig it. I hope that you have/will have approval from your DM for it, since changing your host body will let you just grab whatever array of physical stats that you want, which is also a much more powerful version of the Druid's Reincarnation spell.
You also have to consider the fact that like you said, you're a parasite that slowly overpowers the host's will, and they'll die without you. This character/sword sounds Evil to me. Either retool that part with your DM, or just be evil, consider wielders as pawns, and embrace the edginess.
Finally: how well liked are you in your group? If you've been friends for some time, and have played together without you having caused drama, that will give you more leeway. I'd also recommend telling the players that you're a sword. The other characters don't have to know, but it's helpful if the other players aren't going to just accidentally ruin your character by selling you off or reflexively destroying a blade that prompts Will saves on use.
>>51983753
>and I can't readily do that without my host flopping over dead if I can't get back to him in time.
How many of these RPGs have you played or at least read?

I got 42.
Why don't you stay on your blog or just use facebook with your friends?
25.

Don't have a blog or fb, porn-cropper-anon.
Guys, I need some support. I tricked my players into playing a one-shot Mouse Guard game.
I wanted to make a comfy story in vein of Hakumei to Mikochi but I fucked up.
I went overboard in describing a misty forest and put on Fordom as an ambient music and It became way creepier than It was intended.
I know I fucked up, I might've been slightly drunk but I went with It and put some overly ambitious noble, murder and and boars destroying a fort and eating Its citizens.
Guys, I somehow turned Mouse Guard into a creepy horror survival game and my players loved It.
But I have no idea what the fuck do I do.
What the fuck was I thinking.
>>51982636
Keep going.
>>51982636
Get equally drunk and do it again. You ever seen what mongooses and shit like that do to mice and rats? Owls? Shits horrifying.
Sounds awesome.
Just roll with it.
