Plan on using anything in Amonkhet?

YOU BITCH I was literally about to post a new thread, but it's alright, you're a cool guy.
Also:
>tfw you hit Dragon Mage out of someone's deck with your Lazav-jank-o-tron
People playing shit decks and then taking about powerlevels ruin Magic.

>Plan on using anything in Amonkhet?
So far? BG infect -1/-1 counter tribal is looking nice, but nothing for my existing decks

nope cause i have no friends
Whats the consensus on the new CTL2E blog posts
Reposting because I'd like more opinions. CofD WW1 era mustard gas. How'd you resolve it's effects against vampires/mortals.
It's going to cause conditions/tilts. Less for vampires than mortals obviously but what about damage?
I was thinking aggravated for mortals and lethal for vampires per turn of exposure.
ITT: Neutral Characters done right
>>52541808
>Talim
>Neutral
She's as close as it gets to Lawful Good as it gets in SC. She gives Algol a second chance of all people.
>>52541808
Talim is as good as they come. She is the pure and innocent wind priestess who wants to use her powers to destroy the cursed blade Soul Edge. Just because she doesn't swing Soul Calibur doesn't mean she isn't good.
>>52541808
I can only assume you mean Neutral GOOD characters done right?
What games would you play in your 1:1000 model of Tokyo?

Is it right to kill a PC if it's against my character morality to let him live?
My character is Good and another PC is Evil. Before the start we predicted it would end in crap, but the DM insisted there was no problem. Basically he made a story where all the heroes have to work together to stop the bigger villain. Okay.
Then the evil PC murdered an entire family so he could steal a heirloom. Being good I told him he was a murderer and that he would have to pay for this later. He then mocked me, told I needed him alive because he was the thief. My character got this close to cut him down in that moment but the DM told us both to can it... which doesn't change my character witnessed a triple murder (one being a child).
He then murders another family, now because he didn't want to pay to rent a horse. I told him it was now too much, but he told me that he would do whatever he want. DM told us to stop, but he decided to prove a point by going slaying people across the street.
I lost my patience and told him I would attack him. DM said that I shouldn't, I told him I just did and rolled my dice. I hit him and took a good chunk. He fought back and in the end I killed his PC.
So was killing him justifiable? Because I don't see how DM wanted my character to work with someone who casually murdered innocents.
>>52536928
I'd say it was justifiable. He was intentionally being a dick for no reason. I'd say the DM is partially to blame as well for letting things get that far.
>>52536928
The other guy's PC had a blatant disregard for human life and seemed immeasurably casual about being a jerk around others. It was clear this PC didn't play well with others and didn't care, so it should come to no surprise other people would get sick of it and ice him.
I don't blame you. Though I know I'd hate to be in this kind of situation. This stuff always leads to people fuming at the table.
>>52536928
>he decided to prove a point by going slaying people across the street.
Right here it became just and fair.

Turkey can be pretty fucking scary.

Bolt Action is the leading 28mm World War II tabletop wargame, using miniature soldiers, tanks and terrain to fight battles in the shattered towns of occupied France, the frozen steppes of Russia or even the sweltering jungles of the Pacific.
I literally have 6000 pts worth of Germans and 2000+ of Soviets. Surely I'm not the only one who plays.
>>52443875
Bolt Action is fucking cringe as fuck seeing as veterans of this war are still alive. Jesus, wait a decade at least
Who looks more wounded?
A person with 5/10 HP, or a person with 10/100?

Target play reveals his or her hand. You choose nonlegendary, nonland card from it. That player discards that card.
>>52534096
Pro tip:
Is it a targeted discard spell?
Is it Thoughtseize?
Is it Inquisition of Kozilek?
If not then no
>>52534096
In standard maybe.
GMs, give a word of advice to players.
Players, give some advice to GMs.
For the people who perform both roles, try to address each from the other's perspective.
To Players;
One of your main goals should be to make characters people would want to root for, and It's next to impossible to make likable characters if you keep threatening to kill every NPC that disagrees with you.
To GMs:
Kobayashi Maru aren't fun. There's a lot of good reasons to use them, but they're not fun.
To players: Do not allow fear of failure or paranoia prevent you from engaging and immersing yourself in the game's world. Too often I see players overlook prime possibilities for greater fun because their primary concerns are accruing power and surviving, despite whatever their pc's motivations are supposed to be.
To GMs: Always allow players the opportunity to prove you wrong, be it with a character concept that you have personal issues with, a change in direction you weren't expecting, or an avenue of approach you hadn't accounted for. The joy of running games is seeing exactly what can spring from the fertile mind when it's will is put towards a purpose, don't shut it down based on personal fear and small-mindedness.
Dear GMs,
Act with authority. At least enough that you can ask a problem player to tone it down. It's a lot easier for the GM to ask than it is for another player.
>>52533258
>Act with authority
This.
You are GM. You are not the friend of the group, you are the first and last authority, and it is your job to people manage on top of game manage.
If there is a player issue in the game you are running, it falls on the GM FIRST to deal with it.
What do you guys do about the most uncreative players in your group? I'm talking about the ones that make characters completely ripped off of movies/tv/vidya. do you sit down and talk to them or work with them to make a character or just ignore it
>>52532124
I tell them once to knock that shit off and come up with something original, because we're not playing an anime. If they're unable to change, they're not invited. I've been a forever-DM for so very very long that I long ago lost the patience to try and "fix" bad players anymore.
I was gonna do a Mutants and Masterminds campgain one day and one of my players copy and pasted Alex Mercer from Prototype as his character, Like same name, origin and everything. I had to force him to change certain aspects of the character and origin to make it somewhat original
>>52532303
Alex Mercer is a cool character that allows for some fun character bits and themes.
That being said: at least file the goddamn serial numbers off of it.

It sucks for poorfags which means less homebrew meta
>How do you feel about WOTC's choice of bannings and policy for bannings lately
They like to ban cards without actually playing the game at a non GP level
>Do you think they're guiding the format like they should
No. Modern Masters was a mistake. Its only going to cause issues in the future and force them to print new sets that are modern legal ONLY.
