Have you ever tried a "solo adventure" - just one GM and one player? Has it always failed or have you ever been involved in a fun one? What can make solo games work?

>>
Been in several. Finished most of them.

They work better than larger groups because you can play more often and are less likely to get flakes.
>>
>>52899007
There's that. I have a hard time running them because most players aren't 100% reliable, they can move faster, and I'm less good at the slice of life nonsense that will inevitable creep in when you're focusing on one character to such degree.
Also they're often in need of custom balancing because they fuck with action economies something fierce.

Have you tried running the system yet? PbtA is an interesting choice for JJBA because of the vague narrative rules. My only issue is that trying to create PbtA Moves off the top of your head is a little confusing.
>>
>>52896474
I haven't tried running it, and I'll almost certainly end of tweaking HP numbers and things like that. I was attracted to PbtA especially because of the vagueness. A system where you can arbitrarily break the rules is really useful for JoJo.

PbtA moves are the hardest thing to wrap your head around, but when you're making moves for your character in JoJo it more or less requires GM input or at least approval as to what it does.

However as long as you keep the basic principle of 10+ does the thing, 7-9 does it, but shittier, and 6- fails, you can at least keep the narrative flow going.
>>
>>52896474
>>52896678
Also one of the big advantages of PbtA is how easy it is to do multiple characters, so treating a Stand as a second character was pretty simple to slot in.

Requesting my Raven Queen Pact warlock.

She looks like the girl on the right but with stark white hair, and thigh high cuffed boots. Her eyes are dark blue.

She has a hood with a cover for the shoulders, feel free to draw her hood either up or down. She has a leather messenger bag stuffed full of scrolls. She carries a rune-covered book in her hand, about the size of a cereal box.

Somewhere staying close to her is a ghostly appearing raven, or it may even be perched on her shoulder.

Thank you.

Migrating from the last thread, tweaking the details a little and updating the reference image.

Requesting an unarmed human monk covered in very loosely wrapped wrappings/bandages and wearing very drab and simple monk's garb over the wrappings.

First image is a reference for his clothing, second is for a pose and expression, third is physical appearance. Doesn't have to be exactly the same as the reference images, in fact it would be better if it wasn't.

>What is /awg/?
A thread to talk about minis and games which fall between the cracks. /hwg/ doesn't entertain fantasy (for good reason) and the other threads are locked to very specific games, so this thread isn't tied to a game, or a genre, lets talk about fun wargames.

Any scale, any genre, any company, any minis. Skirmishers welcome. Rules designers welcome.

>Examples of games that qualify
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_miniature_wargames
Grimdark Future, Age of Fantasy, Mighty Armies, Dragon Rampant, Of Gods and Mortals, Frostgrave, Hordes of the Things, Songs of Blades and Heroes, Freebooter's Fate, Dark Age, LotR and anything that doesn't necessarily have a dedicated thread (gorkamundheim).

I've got to repeat myself on here, so.. I need some help: I'm looking for models to play Legends of the old West (warhammer historical), but I'm looing for models bigger than 28mm. I found pic related (36mm by Oniria) but I'm having troubles finding more models with the same scale, including civilians and women (armed or not)

Except some far west looking models from Malifaux, I'm truly in the dark
>>
>>52791494
kind of an unusual scale.
I found this though
http://knuckleduster.com/shop/index.php?route=product/category&path=1_15
Says the minis are 36mm from feet to the eyes.
look for historical ~1/48 minis maybe?
I don't think you'll be able to get a lot of stuff for, say townspeople and cowboys, but you might be able to find stuff for civil war or independence war stuff.
That should be a good place to start converting at least.
Maybe you can even use the western variant of 'army men' for that.
