Good afternoon and welcome to /tg/, the board where everything's made up and the experience points are sort of like my calorie count - too excessive to matter!
Today we'll be playing a game called Scenes from a Hat: /tg/ Edition! If you don't know how the game works, we carefully collected suggestions from fellow elegan/tg/entlemen and randomized them in this hat. I'll select the scene suggestions and we'll see what kind of responses we get!
Things you can say about your weapon but not your girlfriend.

So, uh... Remind me WHY they didn't just tell him again?
I mean, bureaucracy doesn't seem like a good enough answer.
Actually, come to think of it, wouldn't the best solution have him NEVER LEAVING (something he probably wanted to do anyways?)
>A wizard becomes a chef
>He makes food that magically reduces your chances of dying in car accidents and other random events
How popular is his food if it's just kind of tasteless and shitty?
>>55240119
So... it's indistinguishable from most "health food" except there's no evidence that it actually works?
>>55240201
Anon, you've got it backwards.
The wizards food is proven to work, but there's no evidence that """health""" foods do anything.
>>55240340
>The wizards food is proven to work
But it isn't? It isn't even possible to PROVE that something reduces the chance of something happened. You can have evidence pointing one way or another, but none of that can conclusively prove it.
Hey /tg/ I want a good name for a weapon. A duergar has a warhammer which he always wields with two hands. It has spikes on one end (like in the picture) and on the other the pointy end of a pickaxe. The thing that is special about it is the rune that it has on the right side which gives it a good amount of fire damage. He will help the party out (If all goes as plant and they don't kill him right away) So it isn't supposed to sound like the weapon of an evil duergar overlord. Any ideas?
>>55239785
The anger of the forge?
>>55239785
It's named after his ex-wife.

This.
Or "Anvil Breaker"
So what's the general consensus on this game? Personally, despite the fact that it can be a tad confusing, I think its a good game to get newer players into more complicated board games.
I love it. Lots of fun, not as complicated as other non Parker Bros games.
Though, and I know you probably won't believe this, but I've met three separate people in my life that refuse to play it because it's too scary. A game that is essentially Scooby Doo. All women, all separate instances.
>>55239779
I had fun playing it but the positive and negative feedback loop struck me as unsightly.
>>55239779
Played with people I didn't know (community college game room) a few years back and had a blast. It's a good game and I would play it again even with you OP.

hmmm.. so maybe a perk like 'God of the Land/Season'. lets you influence the surroundings in line with what you represent? winter makes it colder/snowy, summer hot and vibrant, earth lets you make the land more fertile etc...
that could be good for the general perks capstone

I ship it.
What do you use to grant wishes jumpers?
How do you write a believable chaotic evil character?
By writing them as something other than a drooling retard mashing the murder button.
make them Genghis Khan
>>55239408
>How do you write a believable chaotic evil character?
Give him actually believable and sympathetic motivations.
Why can't I play a paladin of the French revolution?
No france in the setting.
No paladins in the setting
No revolution in the setting
Sup /tg/
The party is about to start their final adventure through an immense Fortress/Palace. What are some essential rooms and areas every Fortress/Palace needs. Decadence is mandatory.
A throne room
Bedchambers
Multiple guest chambers
Some sort of reception hall
Chambers for the staff/servants
Bathrooms
A ballroom
A lavish garden (not really a room, unless it's some kind of massive hanging gardens structure within the Atrium)
A large balcony
Various rooms for the guards and such
A treasury
An art room (many modern museau such as the Louvre started out as palaces)
A weapons storage
A donjon for a fortress
Some dungeons too probably
Tell us a bit more about your setting? Your Viking sea-hold will be a lot different from Dracula's castle will be a lot different from a Spanish hill fort.

A khufu-sized pyramid that is home to the undead queen, her court, her officers, and her attendants.
Multiple levels separate this fortress and the hgihest echelons of necromancers and aristocracy can be found on the highest levels.

I'm a sucker for coherent fantasy factions. Monsters allied with other monsters and how they interact. Like armies in D&D or mindflyers using umber hulks and mind witnesses to make their empires.
So post your favorite factions and factions you would like to see.

Edit
We all just intrinsically know the high fantasy, cyberpunk, and space opera tropes for a completely generic setting. But what are the equivalent tropes for superheroes?
>>55239025
>It's the "Joker murders five thousand people, gets imprisoned in Arkham and escapes in two minutes" issue
>>55239025
>main superhero team that is beloved
>revolving door prisons
>villains that waste their incredible tech and smarts on robbing banks
>meta characters and abstract forces as people
>characters that get their powers through weird science accidents
>men wear full bodysuits and face-covering masks, women have at least half their face and hair showing, and usually a bare midriff
>smaller, less-liked superhero team/teams that are social pariahs for some reason
>the 'normal badass' street level hero that is always prepared, and variants of him
>the symbol of hope, godlike Superman analogue
>the obligatory female character from far away, WW analogue
>the super speed guy
>infinitely smart super-geniuses that are extreme polymaths and can make time machines in their spare hours
>revolving door afterlife
>small domino mask is enough to completely conceal identity
>black character has electricity powers
>kid sidekicks
>villain's commitment to a gimmick sabotages any chance of success
>Golden Age always exists during WW2 or equivalent
I know the game is somewhat dead, but I like the models and I think it plays pretty gud.
So far I got a single dictator from ebay but I'm thinking of putting more money towards other ships and a few fighter squadrons.
So what is a balanced and lore friendly list I can take? I'm going to paint them in my imperial knight house colors, so it's somewhat a house fleet instead of a naval fleet ( I couldn't find anything with knights and the navy so I'm assuming they either taxi rides or have a personal fleet).
