I recently found out a very close friend of mine (I met her a year ago) is a diehard JW, and I've been really upset ever since.

Very controlling. Expect love bombing initially, then poor treatment if you don't donate enough of your money to their coffers or time out in service going door to door.

Meetings three times a week. Nothing superstitious or spiritistic allowed, even if larp. No anime, no D&D, no jerking it ever. No questioning the org with regards to false doomsday predictions, misquoting scientists in their literature, etc.

But there's a good female:male ratio. Not worth dying because you were forced to carry a no blood card in your wallet. That and you may be expected to cut off ties with every "worldly" friend or family member.
